1 - I'm a heterosexual male.
2 - I don't cyber.
3 - That was the least subtle, and least funny innuendo I've ever seen or heard.

Hey all,
As promised, here's a little bit of analysis for the game up until now. Hopefulyl this will start a little conversation because I think this game is on the ropes.
Firestarter : No posts on Day 1 due to post restriction. Has promised to post on Day 2 but hasn't delivered yet.
Scum or Town: No read - NEED MOAR INPUT
Pug89 : Refused to random vote (for an inherently silly meta reason, IMO). Then spent the rest of the day giving out wishy-washy analysis, quasi-defending, making minimal scum-hunting attempt, etc.. And there's this quote:
Pug89 wrote:Of the two players closest to lynch at the moment (TAX and Soveliss) I'm leaning towards TAX (he seems way to concerned with how he looks)
but with so many players gone or being replaced it's difficult to really make any decisions on how to vote
since I don't want to vote for a player who won't respond for days or weeks.
Emphasis mine. He's refusing to choose between voting for either of the top two suspects until he knows which way the rest of the town is heading. Pug89 is almost a textbook case of "blending in and going with the crowd" type of scum.
Scum or Town: Scum
Knight of Cydonia {replacing Niv} : Focused and logical. {Even Niv reads as townish}
Scum or Town: Town
ortolan {replacing Diomedes} : Getting a town read from him as well.
Scum or Town: Town
Note: I'm a little worried that the slow pace of the game is causing me to fall under the false premise that the more prolific posters are likely town. But nothing Knight of Cydonia or ortolan has posted seems to be outwardly manipulative. So if they are scum, they've got me fooled, at the moment.
Badguy {johhan} : Got a bad feeling about him. Something about the way he replaced in and immediately complained about the lack of new posts, then when prompted to contribute more, throws together a 3 person scumlist (comprising of the top two suspects at the time and a wildcard), then makes a big uber-defensive post. Since then he joined the Aoshi bandwagon, and hasn't done/said much of anything.
Scum or Town: More scum than Town
Porkens : I know he's high on some people's lists, but I'm not seeing it. A strong case needs to be presented. He was the most frantic one at the deadline to get a lynch, though.
Scum or Town: Borderline
Soveliss : I already made the case against him on Day 1. His replacement has a hole to dig out of from the get-go.
Scum or Town: Scum
Pesco47 {replacing ZazieR} : Weird guy, and it's a shame he's no longer around to answer questions. On day 1, he discourages pl-by-pl posts (which I think are never quite helpful to scum), then engages in a little WIFOM game theory ("A thinks B & C are scum...") and quasi-defended Pug89. Nothing major, little minor scummy stuff. Then Day 2 happened and he went crazy with bad logic.
Scum or Town: Scum
Vote: Pug89

Guess it wasn't the conversation-starting post I was striving for.
Anyone still playing?

Yes. I just can't think of anything to add concerning my Porkens vote that hasn't already been said D1.
I think a mass prod may well be in order here soon. AGAIN.

We could lynch again, maybe that would spark something.

With 9 players in the game (including Badguy) and 2 not posting due to replacement needs, it will take 4 people to vote for abandonment before I will officially abandon. Please post your opinion as
Vote: Abandon/Don't Abandon
or anything like that will suffice. If a week has past and I don't have a majority either way, I will abandon the game.
So far:
For Abandonment:
Kublai Khan
Against Abandonment:
None

*sigh*
It's sad to see the game die like this, but I don't wan to beat a dead horse if the other active players want to let it go.

I'm curious if anyone has any insight as to why this game tanked so badly?
P.S. Dean; I really like your sig. That's one of the best lines from this (last?) season!

Thanks for modding, Dean. It was a shame this ground to a halt. I like the theme, and I thought there was some interesting discussion and stuff going on day 1 that seemed to me like it would be a good basis for later scum-hunting.
While the exam and Christmas period probably didn't help matters activity-wise, I think what hit the game hardest was people replacing out or going V/LA when they were the main suspects (e.g. TAX, Aoshi, Soveliss) which kept putting the brake on the town's ability to keep the pressure up.
I was surprised the start of day 2 was if anything even slower than the end of day 1, maybe people had already given up on it by then?
As a vanilla townie I wanted to draw the scum's fire away from town PRs so I was quite pleased I got nightkilled.
One question, how come were there two night-kills if we lynched the vig?

Heh, not bad. I had two of the scum pegged (Soveliss & Pug89) and others had picked up on Porkens.
Porkens wrote:I'm curious if anyone has any insight as to why this game tanked so badly?
Like imaginality said, exams and Christmas dampered things, but even then... I think we just had a batch of bad players who didn't treat the game like a commitment. Even worse was Soveliss who said he'd be back in a couple of weeks, then didn't return. So instead of replacing him after a couple of days, it just never happened.
Anyways, thanks for modding this game, Dean Harper. Your write-ups were excellent and you did all you could. Plus you got me to read the first couple of Thursday Next books, so thank you for that as well.
