I'll get to you sometime tomorrow
Krazy
, I saw your reply <3
Also, I've said a lot of understated reads lately, so if someone wants to inquire - then I'll explain them more.
(I'll explain most - if not all of them - at some point anyway, though.)

I've always thought of bb as more of the rational type tbh
That's not Dr. Worm at all.

With the lack of initiative with unpaired people at the moment
(or it could just be their scheduling)
, I might as well say my thoughts. I looked at my readnotes and did some ISO skims.
S_S
is the towniest unpaired person to me at the moment. Not a lot of posts strike me as town, but the ones that do, are things that I can't foresee scum saying in this gamestate.
I still want someone to speak to me about their
Moment
townread because I'm not sold yet. Although,
Moment+S_S
sound like a good idea because their read progression on each other is town and I believe it's natural.
Krazy's
towncase on
Gamma
is both short and without strong townpoints, not something I vibe with. I'm wanting to work with
Gamma
on his perception about the game but he's not done much aside from putting reads out and showing frustration when people want him to do more.
DT+Brie
townreads are a bit less confident now but they're the only other current pairing right now that I think works.
I don't know if I'll advocate for this pairing, though.
Which would still leave
Urist, Allo, and Gamma
, though.
Urist
is still scum to me since I can see my earlier listed townpoints be applicable to scum. I dislike how the thread has virtually brushed
Allo's
entire existence off, but I don't feel strongly about him any other way, and I don't want to push
Gamma
because his response today was a reason why I didn't want to plan or talk about pairs much at all anymore.
So there's my low-weight pairing suggestions.
Moment+S_S
at top ONLY if they consent, maybe
TheBrie+DT
and
Gamma+Allo or Urist
You want to talk with me about my perception of the game? Could you elaborate?

gamma, talk to me. who are your scum reads?

I just wrote out a list of my reads. Not gonna repeat myself. How did you miss it, even?

It's pretty missable.

I don't see where people are coming from on Brie being scum and if I'm being considered to be so towny then I should think that my own opinion should hold some weight.
Assume Brie is scum. Why wait to accept my offer and still be questioning Allo? It's
clear that she knows that pairing with him is more likely to get her lynched whereas people townread me.

if she speed accepts her offer when people are calling her scum, what then?

You hadn't brought up your scumread her at the time that I had made my offer.
Posted: Tue Feb 12, 2019 7:00 pm
by RadiantCowbells
why would she rush the accept instead of pretending to be towny by considering all options, etc.
Posted: Tue Feb 12, 2019 7:04 pm
by Moment
Greater scum utility in being paired with someone people don't want to lynch as opposed to marginal utility from attempting to look town while potentially ending up in a pairing more likely to be lynched.

by RadiantCowbells
but
who says she wasn't always gonna pair with you?
Posted: Tue Feb 12, 2019 7:06 pm
by Moment
Nobody can make that statement and trying to think about that kind of hypothetical hurts my brain. I'm speaking purely off of what has actually happened so far.
Posted: Tue Feb 12, 2019 7:08 pm
by Moment
If Brie is scum, she has played this situation purely to her own disadvantage, and in such a way that an attempt to salvage it now would only serve to hurt her image more. I don't believe that if she were scum in this situation she would choose to delay accepting in order to attempt to look townier.
Posted: Tue Feb 12, 2019 7:08 pm

but like you're assuming that her engaging with allomancer is equivalent to her having serious intent to pair with allomancer and i don't believe that the evidence supports that
Posted: Tue Feb 12, 2019 7:12 pm
by Moment
The evidence is that she has not yet paired with me. I believe the logical conclusion from that evidence points towards her being town.
Ideally, I would like to pair with Brie, if only because it might stop people from lynching someone whom I believe to be town. Failing that, I think Urist-Brie might be a good pair.
The problem is that I townread both SS and Brie but only one of the three remaining gentlemen besides myself, that being Urist.

If you pair with Brie I will have to fight hard for your lynch and it will hurt town regardless of her alignment

It makes a lot more sense as town than scum.
Moment what do you think of this?
Posted: Tue Feb 12, 2019 7:16 pm

That doesn't sway me. I don't like to say this, but hopefully Ankamius would leave the dance if that were to become a problem.
I'm open to alternatives, as I've just proposed.

by RadiantCowbells
An alternative has been proposed: you pairing SS whom you townread.
Posted: Tue Feb 12, 2019 7:17 pm
by RadiantCowbells
Moment this game isn't about preventing the lynching of townies
this game is about ensuring the lynches of scums

I thought you said the exact opposite just a bit earlier?
Posted: Tue Feb 12, 2019 7:19 pm

like if the two are
both town
then you pairing town gives us a locktown pairing regardless of whom with
and the idea of you just wanting ankamius to leave the dance to silence me is really awful.
I thought you said the exact opposite just a bit earlier?
you're misunderstanding.
you ensure the lynch of scums by making locktown pairs.
preventing thebries town lynch is meaningless in the same sense that preventing my own lynch in a world where i wasn't going to endgame was meaningless.
