probably not enough time left for there to be any serious consideration for anyone else, given the current game state (specifically, i don't know if there's a name outside of them that enough people feel pretty strongly about)

plus they're probably not all town anyway

something_smart is probably the person i feel least good about outside of those names though so i am not exactly opposed to what i'm ultimately thinking is just going to be a vanity wagon at this stage

So if they're town, we saved ourselves from two players who couldn't be bothered to catch up OR even ask for the entire role PM, but somehow should be trusted to get a vig shot with even higher than average negative utility.

indeed, this is what i meant when i said it doesn't make sense to try less than usual in a game where you have a short shelf-life and ideally wanna be as accurate as possible about the one thing it's important you get correct

I think maidcFe maybe town, even though they claimed something almost exactly the same as last time this is still a “why claim a role that makes sure they don’t make it to end game”.

I don’t disagree that it may be a poor choice to have them use the ability without targeting someone that is really likely to be mafia.

I don't really have a stake in the flavor thing.

I don't know why we're trying to leash Maid Cafe. That's a move you do for SKs that you're basically trying to force to play pro-town while knowing that they're really not on your team - it's a method of control, not a path to clarity. If they're lying, they're lying - I don't think controlling the target gives any insight into that and it gives scum less room to maneuver if that slot is indeed legitimate.
