During Season 4 preseason right when relic shield came out and 2-1-2 was the meta.
EDIT: And possibly after the rework of his passive to the sheen-like thing, I remember him being strong then but can't remember if that was only supp or also top.

Do you guys know if you don't have smite you can't buy machete? So if you're busy cleaning up after dinner during champ select and you take olaf with barrier and flash you have no machete all game.
Don't ask how I found that out.

HOLY SHIT THOSE WARDEN/MARAUDER SKINS!
(I was hoping to find a link on the official site, but they're visible in the 5.3 Patch notes on the patcher. All four of them look badass.)

I'd actually love to see map objectives and support items balanced so that having a jungler or playing 2-1-2 are balanced enough that we sometimes see 1-1-1-2 vs. 2-1-2 in LCS/etc. One of the 5, probably the top lane support but no guarantee, would have to take smite for securing stuff, but if (for example) relic shield stacked faster but had a reduced heal, allowing the two players to share gold fairly efficiently, I think it could be balanced without being OP. A jungler of course has the advantage of being unseen most of the time and creating gank pressure, so it would be a trade-off of potential gank pressure vs. raw gold in my imaginary balanced universe.
Riot is committed enough to dedicated jungling however that I don't see this ever happening.

So I had a pretty awesome
1v4 triple kill in this game.
I noted the enemy team was likely to start a 4 person baron as I was running, so I ran to the other end of the baron the long way around(from behind), letting them think I was running away. After slowly going around, I E'd the baron, killing their low HP Jax, and proceeded to focus down the Orianna - this prompted Jinx and Vi to bolt from the baron, but I was able to kill Jinx before they got away.

In gold now.
MMR is still stupidly low. Even when I have a bad lane, I still win.

The most noticeable thing to me about low mmr is that universally players have horrendous shot calling. There are varying degrees of mechanics, teal fighting, etc, but nobody in silver/gold understands objectives

Argh, silver is impossible to climb out of now unless you're plat or higher. I hate it.

I climbed from s3 in about 2-3 days about 10 days into season 5 and I personally think my skill level is low gold!

elo hell don't real though
I mean sure you can place low in like, initial placements or w/e because of random chance, but once you hit a few dozen games you can't really say you "are gold" but are "stuck" in silver. it's very possible to climb out of silver while being a gold-level player and not plat; we call these players "gold players"
(a random tip from looking at your match history - you should be upgrading your trinket way more than you are. Both because it's good, but also that it suggests bad itemization/item ordering if you're not. You should be trying to minimize the gold in your pocket walking out of fountain most of the time - so never cashing in that 250g residual for improved yellow trinket, for example, suggests that you're ALSO not buying pinks when you have a spare 100 and no pink down or greens if you have no sight stone and etc. Riot doesn't store "money in pocket each time left from base" so I can't know this for sure, but you should be aiming for an average of <100g.)

This is a thing I'm aware of, but am bad at doing.

I think he's referencing the fact that there are a lot of Bronze to X type accounts doing their own climb right now. You're almost guaranteed to have a smurf on either team, and there's a greater liklihood of it being theirs.
I've been experiencing it a lot in Bronze.

It's a hard skill!
some handy tips: resistance items tend to have the most anemic combines and most of the utility of combining a resistance item is just getting the slot (GA and Visage are exceptions), so they're among the best items to buy one component of and just sit on. If you can afford the biggest grain you're going to be aiming for (BF Sword/Needlessly Large) you should usually get it no matter where you are in the build, because you have no guarantee you're going to be in that situation again - you might be backing with 400g the next few backs, and you don't want each of those to be "still waitin for my BF sword". (Giant's Belt used to be in this category until it's crazy builds-from-ruby buff.) You should almost never be completing your SECOND item resisting a type of damage if you don't have anything improving your health. Flat pen is always amazing regardless of how low/high their resists are or whether you have % pen or not. Remember that it's not a one-way street of go back -> check money - you can and should fine-tune the risks you take farming based on item breakpoints (but don't get stupid about it.) And finally, here is the golden rule of itemization:
if you don't know what to buy, buy a Ruby Crystal.
