Mini 194 - Final Fantasy Ivalice - Game Over!

Yeah I'm sorry guys, First game modding. I tried to make it diffrent but it ended up strangely weird...But i'm glad you all liked it. Yay!. I'm going to pull out all the pms and who did what. yay! just give me a sec.

Heh. I've seen worse. In the Monkey Island Mafia, the roles were strongly typed, so in rapid succession, we had two counter-claim kills (two people claimed roles someone else had...and IIRC, they claimed the -same- role that someone already had), followed by an auto-kill (ie, a big bandwagon followed by the target not having a good defense, and turning out to be a Big Bad). On top of that, in that role, I had an ultra-broken role -- The Voodoo lady, a doc with self-protect (bad) with on top of that, the abilty to teach other people by giving them one-use "redirector" dolls...which primarily served as complete immunity to everything except for a scum majority (since people I taught could confirm my role, and I couldn't be killed at night...)

I'm really beginning to think that themed mafia needs to have a complete disjunct of in-theme role and goodguy/badguy nature -- if the theme doesn't come out, it's no fun, but it's not fun if you can figure things out off the role, either. What I'd like to see is a public-theme game -- where the themes-roles are assignedi n the open, and it's the town/scum roles that are hidden and distributed.

Rinoa Heartilly – you are Cop/Doc. As Rinoa you are a rebel fraction leader/sorceress. You have two powers: With your trusted dog Angelo you can investigate any other player to see if they are innocent or guilty. Your second power is you can use your angel wing sorcery to protect anyone except yourself. You can use both powers at he same time because of your sorcery ability. You win with the town.


Brian was:
Aeris Gainsborough - you are a flower girl. As Aeris you are a flower girl. You can also send flowers to people at night. You flowers have special abilities. You have one special ability. If you are night killed you will be resurrected. However, if you are lynched, you will not be given the chance to live again. You ability is automatic and only happens once. You win with the town.
You can send the following flowers:
Rose - 50% chance roleblock
Tulip - 50% Doc protection
Daisy - makes you freakin happy dude

StrykkerVerde was:
Yuna – you are a role blocker. As Yuna, you are a summoner. You can call your Aeons at night to prevent someone from using their night ability. Not only that, you can use your Aeons to prevent the person from posting for one day. You can use one or both abilities at the same time. You win with the town.
Your Aeons are:
Valefor – aerial Aeon
Ifrit – fire Aeon
Ixion – thunder Aeon
Shiva – ice Aeon
Bahamut – great dragon Aeon
Yojimbo – samurai Aeon
Anima – Death Aeon (doen’t really cause death since you’re pro town)
The Magus Sisters – 3 sister aeons

Zanath Brast was:
Squall Leonhart – you are a vigilante. As Squall you are the leader of the Mercenary force known as SeeD. If you target an innocent you have a 50% chance of missing. If you find Rinoa, PM me who you think she is, and if you are right something special will happen. If you are wrong, you must deal with a posting restriction or a worse punishment I will give you. This is optional. You win with the town.

Crola was:
Ellone – you are a time traveler/back up doc. As Ellone, you have the ability to try and change the past. You can go back in time to save someone who was lynched or night killed. Since you have a hard time connecting with the past, you have a 50% chance of it succeeding.

Lubabah was:
Tidus – you are blitz ball player. As the star player of the Zanarkand Abes you can send autographed blitz balls. With the ball you have the complete control of who you want that person to vote for. You can only send one at night. If you send one to your summoner you will get added protection at night for one time only, but you won’t control her vote. You have one special ability. Since you are a guardian of a summoner she has blessed you with auto-life. If you are lynched her magic will save you. And you will live again. This will only work one time. But if you are night killed, her magic will not reach you and you will die. You win with the town.

armlx was:
Cloud Strife – you are Mason/back up Vigilante. As Cloud you are an ex-member of Soldier. When the Vigilante perishes you will be called to replace him. You and you’re childhood friend Tifa Lockheart have been given a special ability. If you locate Aeris Gainsborough something special will happen. Send me a PM at night with who you think is Aeris. If you are wrong, you will have to deal with a posting restriction or something worse. This is optional. You and your friend Tifa can only send in one choice. You may talk to each other at night only. You win with the town.

Puzzle was:

Bad Guys:

Darklight was:
Omega Weapon – you are mafia God father. As Omega weapon you and your partners Sin and Sephiroth have arrived in Ivalice to brutally murder each townsfolk. As the God Father you are immune to cop investigations. But since you are Omega weapon, when investigated you leave a trace of some sort. But still remain innocent. You can kill 3 ways:
Light pillar – kills the person with a great beam of light.
Medigo Flame – Burns down the home of a person but may not kill them
Brute strength – you kill the person with your own hands
You win with the mafia and the town has no way to win.

BabyJesus was:
Sin – you are mafia goon/doc. You are Sin. As Sin you and your partners Omega Weapon and Sephiroth have arrived in Ivalice to brutally murder each townsfolk. You can protect anyone you want except yourself. You get to kill two ways:
Overdrive – you swallow the person and destroy their entire being
SinSpawn – you send tiny mini sins to beat the person to death
You win with the mafia and the town has no way to win.

Myopia was:
Sephiroth – you are mafia goon/role blocker. . You are Sephiroth. As Sephiroth you and your partners Omega Weapon and Sin have arrived in Ivalice to brutally murder each townsfolk. You can visit people at night and cause them to go crazy. This ability will not allow them to use their role at night. You can kill two ways:
Super Nova – You can use a giant comet to destroy the person
Masamune – You can use your sword to stab the person to death.
You win with the mafia and the town has no way to win.

Olio was:
Seifer Almasy – you are a serial killer. As Seifer, you must destroy all SeeD members. Once you confirm you will be given a Death List, the name of the roles and what they do. You will also be saved from one night kill due to the powers of the sorceress Ultimecia. You win when you are the last man standing.

Night I

StrykkerVerde's Haus:

You recieved a ROSE. Nothing unusal happens except a strange feeling of laziness. But you brush it off and do your thing.

When you get back home you notice a blitz ball inside your mailbox. You pick it up and read it:
Its an autograph from a player of the Zanarkand Abes.

"Weird" you say.

You hold the ball close to you and pass out for reasons unknown.



This I remember, Strykker Goes to Crola's Haus:

As you sit on the couch in your home, you feel absolutely safe.
"I wish we didn't have to do this." you say. "Maybe i can try going back...arg...but it won't work unless i can use someone very powerful...to help me..."
You bend down your head in frustration.
"hello." someone says.
You get up and turn your head around. You see a beautiful women in white robes, but you really can't see here face.
"W-W-W-ho are you?" you say. "You can't hurt me!"
"I know, I'm not here to kill you. I'm here for something else!"
"What! S-S-Stay away From ME!!!!"
"IFRIT!" she summons.
A large fire beast appears before you. You fall to your knees and cry.
"They said you couldn't kill me."
"They weren't lying." she said."I'm here for something else. NOW IFRIT!"
"NOOOOOO!!!!! PLEASE DON"T......po. Kupo?" you say.


You have been turned into a MOOGLE
You cannot perform your night action. When day one starts you must post a reaction to what people say. But all you can post is the word Kupo. This will last until night 2, they cannot vote you or lynch you. What you can say is for example:
Kupo? ku....po....PO! Kupo.
Have fun with the word Kupo and the smiley faces to express your emotion.



mneme Goes to Crola's Haus:

You and your Dog search crola's home.
"what do you say boy?" you ask petting angelo.
"arf!" he says.
"I thought so." you say. "There's nothing here to say he's evil."

As you and your dog leave, you hear some sort of whimper. You listen more instensely.

"kupo...po...po..." it says.

"Kupo?" you say in disbelief.
You shrug it off, and leave.
"I hope crola is safe...I put and extra protect spell on him." you say as you leave with angelo.

Your results: Innocent



Night II

mneme's PM:

As you leave your home, you wonder how things will go.
"What do you think angelo?"
"Arf"
"Yeah, me too. Come on lets go."
Soon you notice a dark figure. You freeze with terror.
"Is that you?" it says. "It is you!"
"NOOO!!" you scream.
You run away from the dark figure. As you run, you soon feel a shrp pounding pain in your gut. Everything around you grows faint and blurry. As you eyes look up, you see a dark figure. You collapse on the cold ground.




Puzzle and armlx's PM:

You and your friend search the home of BrianMcqueso. Finding nothing you all begin to leave and go home. As you both reach the safety of your house, a light figure approaches you both.
The spirit hands you both a flower.

Correct guys.

Puzzle you get 100% protection tonight.

armlx gets a 100% chance of a townie not getting hit when he becomes Vig.




Zanth's Pm kinda interacts with mneme's:

You leave your home, and walk towards tonights hit.
"First things First." you say. "Gotta find Rinoa."
You approach the home of meneme. And you see a girl walking with a dog.
She freezes still.
"Its you." you say. "It's really you!"
"NOOOO!!!!" she screams as she runs away.
"Wait!" you yell.
But she is too far for her to hear your plea.

Correct.
You have found Rinoa. Tonight you get a 100% fail proof shot. If you aim at an innocent, it's 100% sure you will miss.




The Great BabyJesus' PM:

As you arrive home from protecting Darklight, you notice something next to your mailbox. It's a blitzball.

"Whats this doing here?" you say.

You notice something is written on it. It says: Hahahhaha! Tommorow you vote for BabyJesus.

"Damn."


You can only vote for yourself. BabyJesus.

But you don't have to vote if you don't want too.



StrykkerVerde's Pm He got killed by Darklight:

With nothing to do you sit at home alone.
"Maybe i should have gone out tonight." you say.
Laying on your bed you soon doze off. Moments later you hear someone coming in from downstairs. You quickly get up and run to see who's there.
You see a man in black, walking slowly towards you.
"Who are you?!?" you yell ready to call your aeons.
"Ah, yes. I've been looking for you outside. Seems you stayed home. You wasted my time." he says. "You're mine sweetheart."
Suddenly the black figure turns into a huge white monster.
"EEeeKKK!" you scream. "Bahamut! Help me!"
A large dragon Aeon comes to your aid..But you realize your attempt to save yourself was in vain. The monster grabs Bahamut by the neck and crushes him til he is nothing but pyreflies.

"Bahamut..?" you whimper as you sonn cry.

"Told you."It said. "You're mine."

"NOOOOOO!!!!"
A large white light engulfs you as you scream.

You died.



Night III


Puzzle's Pm:

You call, armlx.
"Hey man."You say
"Hey dude, whats up?" he says.
"Not much."
Suddenly you hear noises on the other side.
"Dude! someone;s in my house!"
"WHAT! I'll get help!"
After this all you could hear was a struggle on the other end then silence followed by a hideous laugh.
The phone goes dead.
"Cloud. No." you say.
You run outside to look for help as you cry. But you notice something at the step of your home. A daisy.
You are overcome by happiness and you forget what just happened and go back to the safety of your home.



armlx's Pm Got killed by DL:

You sit alone on the couch watching a scary movie.
"Why does the chick always run up the stairs and not through the door?" you say. "Is she retarded?"
Watching the movie more and more you fall into the void of fear.
"Don't look behind you!!!!"
RING!!!!!!
"AHHHHHHH!!!" you scream. "Holy crap. Its just the phone."
You pick up the phone, Its puzzle!
"Hey man. Whats up?"
But loud footsteps, caused you to cower in fear.
"Dude, someone's in my house!!!"
"Hello, little one." The dark figure said as he grabbed your neck.
"ah...ha.lp...mm...e." you try to say as you gasp for air.
"Oh my little one, do not fret. It will all be over soon."
"N...o..."

His hands wrap around your head, The dark figure blinds you with a white light. Before you now stands a white monster. The TV screen was the last thing you'll ever see, the irony is the chick was being killed the same time you were. In a quick second, The monster belted out a laugh and ripped off your head.

You died.



Darklight's PM:

After a succesful evening, you walk to your evil lair.
"Hmmm, I had icecream last night. Maybe I'll have a brownie. I'll get Myopia to make it. That stupid BabyJesus, he had go on and die. Now who's gonna cook?" you say.

You notice a strange ball on your porch.
"What the feej?"
You pick it up and its a blitzball.
"Dammit." you say.

You can only vote for yourself in day. You cannot vote for anyone else. But you do not have to vote.



mneme's PM:

The toxin really messed you up.
"Oh angelo, what am I to do? I can't even move my body."
"arf" he whimpers.
"You're right, I may not be able to leave but I can still use my magic."
As you lay asleep on your bed with your trustful Dog next to you you mutter, "Please be safe Zanath Brast."




Brian's Pm, Now I find this kinda funny. Brian who is Aeris got stabbed from behind By Myopia who is Sephiroth....:

After dropping off a beautiful daisy, you walk home. You feel sick, but not so much. Suddenly you feel a dark presence behind you.
"I know you are there. The spirits of Gaia talk to me." you say.
"Oh really, then they should know what's going to happen." the dark figure says from behind.
"Fool, you cannot kill me!" You say.
"Hmmm, I beg to differ my peche (peach). The toxin is ruining your powers." He laughed. "That jack definitely had something up his sleeve."
You turn around and find nothing.
"Cloud?"
"He can't help you."
The voice came from above but it was too late. The dark being jumps done and Stabs you from behind. With your last few seconds of life you look down at the sword that had gone through your stomach. As he pulls his sword out of you. You fall lifeless to the ground.

You died.




Zanath's PM:

As you walk slowly to DL's house you notice something in the main square.
"What the?" you say as you look at the Dark figure looming over the lifeless body.
The dark figure comes toward you. You freeze with fear running throughout your body.
"The toxin has affected you as well. You are lucky tonight, you made things easier for me. However my little peche(peach) wasn't." it said.
POW!
The dark figure lomed over you as you fell to the ground.




Night IV


Crola's Pm:

All alone, you wait.

Waiting for the perfect moment.

Waiting.

"Now!" you whisper


You connect with the past, You find your self in StrykkerVerde's body.
"Whoa" you say. "This is kinda cool."

Realizing your reason for time traveling you quickly run outside Strykker's home, and hide in the bushes.
"Alright Strykker, let's see what's suppose to happen." you say.

After waiting a few minutes in the bushes a Dark figure enters the home of Strykker. After hearing motions and noises from inside the house, the dark figure soon leaves with great dissapointment. You wait until the figure is completely out of sight before you re-enter his home. Safely inside you relax on the sofa.
"You owe me one." you mutter.

You leave strkker's body and return to the present time. New memories flood your mind. Strykker never died. He's alive.

You saved StrykkerVerde.



mneme got stabbed by Myopia Pm:

You are about to leave your house to investigate Myopia,
"Oh almost forgot," you say.
"Forgot what?" a being says behind you.
Before you can turn around the voice stabs you from behind.
"N-N-N.....ooooo" is the last word you could ever sputter.

Puzzle Gets knifed too PM:

You decide to walk the streets.
"It's better than staying at home." you say.
You walk towards mneme's home.
"Maybe I can say hello to mneme, he might want some company."
You arrive at mneme's home and you see that the door is open. You rush inside to see if mneme is alright. But you realize that you are too late. A dark figure loomed over mneme laughing like there was no tommorow.
"What did you do?!!!?" you cry.
"Ahhh, do not fret, my new peche has returned to Gaia." it said.
"You monster!!!!" you cry.
"Tell me something I don't know...." he says as he walks towards you.
"Stop! Don't come any closer....!"
"You make this so easy...." It said.
Before you could scream he slashes you with his sword and cuts you in half.


You died.

You head towards Darklight's home. Hiding in the bushes you prepare to shoot him. You see him sitting down eating ice cream.
"Hmmmm...maybe I'll have some ice cream when I get home." you say.
You aim...perfect aim for a perfect shot.
Bang! ( a silent shot)

You see Darklight still well and alive eating ice cream very happily.

"I guess, I missed." you say.

You just walk away and head home for some ice cream.

I really don't know what to think about this game. Essentially, as far as I can tell, it was harribly skewed in the direction of the town because a nameclaim would identify all the bad guys. However, the mafia had some pretty nastily powerful abilities, which came startlingly close to making up for it. I felt like I was only delaying my inevitable loss, though, in spite of the number of townies we'd kiled by the end.

So, Saphire, what did the Daisy do, and what happend if people found one another (ex, Strykker finds summoner)?

I really tried to make the game balance, the problem is Final Fantasy should be a giant game so people can expect non major roles. So that was my fault but when the big Final Fantasy starts up, It won't be this easy for the town. The Daisy makes people happy take a look at Puzzle's PM night III. And when Lubabah Found Strykker as his summoner he got Doc protection for one night. People got diffrent abilities. Check the pm's ubove.
