CK you're trying to set me up and I don't appreciate it.
The only way you can buy my claim as "fake" is if you think that (1) there is otherwise no hermione in the game [which is unlikely] and (2) I was somehow sure enough of that fact to claim hermione LONG BEFORE anyone else had claimed their roles [which is even more unlikely].
I haven't read the last few Harry Potter books, but you're not going to sell me on the fact that you somehow believe Hermione to be part of the scumteam.
That said, I don't think CTD is scum. It just doesn't make sense. I agree that it would seem to be some pretty bastard modding that would reveal such a plausible, but incorrect, role.
I gotta believe that Snape is scum. Of the remaining players (assuming all have claimed their actual roles) he's clearly the least town character. I don't doubt that he has the powers he claims to have, but I'm not so sure those powers (to reveal a role) are necessarily pro-town.
Hopefully tonight we can resolve this. I know who I'm going to investigate, and if I'm alive in the morning hopefully we'll have the answers.

You zero in on Draco. "Come on!" he sneers, "You
Which is true, as it turns out.
You lynch him, and find that he was
...but he
Town win!
know
I'm innocent; I was subjected to that demeaning Veritaserum, wasn't I? I told nothing but truth under the influence of that stuff"Which is true, as it turns out.
You lynch him, and find that he was
Draco Malfoy
, scumball!...but he
had
been as innocent as.. well, so far as a jerk of his size was capable. Until he was approached, one night, by his ol' chum Crabbe.Town win!

Okay, so here's the thing: in, I think, a punitive measure against day 1 mass nameclaims, viper made 2 of the protown roles recruitable by scum, potentially swelling scum numbers from 3 to 5 (Crabbe/Goyle could recruit Draco and Voldemort could recruit Snape). I like the mechanic, I really do, and I don't think it's bastardy. How it turned out, though, was nearly the worst
I knew that Colonel Kurtz'd have to be Snape from Voldemort's role, but I had to invent the actual role, so I made him an inventor, with one portion each of Veritaserum, Felix Felicis (doc-protect & motivate) and Draught of Living Death (RB).
Imagine my perverted glee at seeing CK target CTD with veritaserum. Here was me thinking you guys'd trust that - Snape's an excellent potionmaster, and there's no indication in the books that anyone's immune to the stuff... and, for the record, the mod
Well,
appearance
of bastardmoddery possible. To clarify, I invented the terms of only one role.I knew that Colonel Kurtz'd have to be Snape from Voldemort's role, but I had to invent the actual role, so I made him an inventor, with one portion each of Veritaserum, Felix Felicis (doc-protect & motivate) and Draught of Living Death (RB).

never
did anything but tell the complete, honest truth.Well,
I
certainly enjoyed the game, albeit as a mere spectator...- Frozen Atlantic

Dear Town -
I am appointing myself MVP in honor of my remarkable efforts during the siege. Naturally, I expect no dissent from those of you who are still alive. While Hermione focused her attention on Severus (naturally), and Severus did everything he could to protect his golden boy and get me killed (again, naturally), I kept my eye on the ball, focused on the facts, and sought out the evil doers. I hope that this will teach all of you to follow this example in the future.
Hm. It seems I am in need of a new godchild.

So was he still town when I did that? Because if not...I'd have to say that the way you did the veritaserum wasn't correct. I know you're the mod and everything, but you would have bent the flavor of the game for the sole purpose of being a bastard. Anyway, good modding Adele.

No
. He was Verita'd N1 and recruited N2. I wasn't expecting him to be verita'd when I invented the role - the verita->role post-> recruitment->untruth of role post was a sequence I didn't predict until it went into motion. It's just one of those things - just as a sane cop can find someone innocent (if they are at that point innocent) and then they get converted to evil. Not so much bastardy as improbability in my view. Also, bear in mind I didn't know the true setup - when I took over modding I had to design a plausible role to fit viper's pattern. I did my best...

Eh, not too happy with this game. I was playing for the town win, and we would have gotten it in night two if I hadn't been recruited. To be honest, changing sides was a major blow to my enthusiasm and in that sense, I guess I was a disappointment for my scumbuddies. Sorry guys.
On the other hand, I'm not sure if I could have won this, to be honest. Looking at the full set-up, it seems like even if I could have gotten FA lynched (which would have been possible thanks to me being mod cleared, I guess), there's virtually no way for me not to get lynched in endgame, as long as Scalebane doesn't vig anyone. If CK roleblocks Lowell, he knows I'm guilty. If CK blocks me, he knows I failed to kill. And there is no way for me to anticipate this because I don't know what potions he still has in store. Lowell, of course, would also know I did it, being a death tracker and all.
The only way to avoid this would be killing someone else, which would lead to a draw at best (with Scalebane and myself killing each other in endgame).
I guess it was a good set-up, I'm just not happy with the way my role turned out. Huge thanks to Adele for taking over modding duties though. Your forced adjustements to the setting were very fitting flavor wise.
And FA, I really don't know how you figured out I'm a bad guy based on my play back when I was a good guy. I guess you really suck at reading me.

Well, via process of elimination, you were the "least good" in the town.CrashTextDummie wrote:And FA, I really don't know how you figured out I'm a bad guy based on my play back when I was a good guy. I guess you really suck at reading me.
And you would have NEVER been able to press a lynch on me. I vouched for Lowell when the town wanted to lynch him, and I stuck up for Scalebane's claim...

Good game. I played terribly. O well, next game might be better.
Anyway, I targeted Atticus or FA first night. Y the second night, then got lynched. Anyone have an explanation why nothing happened first night?
My roles says I kill anyone I target. However, if I target Harry, he gets suspended for one day. If I target Snape, I recruit him.
Good catch on CTD.

I didn't have much of a bearing on the result of this game, unfortunately. It seems like the set-up was kind of uneven, but maybe I'm just biased. It would have been nice to have a real safeclaim, though.
By the way, I'm not sure who killed me, but if it was a vig, I have to wonder why. Despite being scum, the case against me on day one was absolutely horrible, and I didn't see any good reason to vig me.
