People who have read why I chose my targets and who aren't named hostile or farside and are now voting me need to explain their vote. Because I have given a valid reason. Does anyone in their right mind think scum would be given the ability to make two people lovers?

If I was scum and could make 2 people lovers that would be broken because I could then just kill them in the night.

If you are both town, yes. If one of you are scum, probably not, unless we have a vig.

so what you did is either strongarm the town into lynching two people (and it's VERY unlikely that both of them are scum, so we're asking for us to commit one, possibly two mislynches today) or possibly offer the mafia a 2-for-1 nightkill tonight. that is how lovers work.

do you not see how that makes more sense as a mafia ability? for town it's has very little upside and is almost strictly negative utility.

like, even if I had a scumread on both of those players, there's no way I'd touch that lynch with a 12 foot pole. the downside is too high.

and on a setup speculation note it wouldn't surprise me with that as a scum ability if the mafia had to subsitute their NK with the loverize as a sort of gamble that they could get the lynch and if they didn't it would still even out to 2 kills in 2 nights

I already said I added you because several people were interested in lynching you yesterday. I still think HI is most likely to be scum and you are null to me.

Like I said, lynch me if you want. If they both live in the night, lynch them both in whatever order you wish. If they die and both flip town then I made a mistake which I will have to live with but it's no different than misvigging. If you lynch one and one or both are scum I'm definitely dying in the night.

Regardless, lots of good reactions here. I feel certain one or both are scum.

I did, and if I had that ability as town I would be very reluctant to use it. if there was a way for it to help town (such as loverizing the one remaining scum with a valuable town PR) with a very low chance of backfiring that is the only time I would use it.

the way you used it either shows an unwillingness to consider that your reads might be wrong, or a lack of concern with town dying.
