Like yes- I've had (my 3rd newbie game on site) a game where (another) newb!scum becomes extremely self-conscious of speaking up and panicked with every single vote on her, but there were a whole other bunch of issues with the slot and I think it's the exception and not the rule.
BUT: I think redemption is being genuine and if he were scum he'd fake it more convincingly.

The flailing is exactly why I SR him. I think the stress of hiding something is what that reaction was. My first experience as scum was ridiculously stressful. But then again, I didn't have a partner in that game.

My own experience in Newbie 1923 has colored my experience of what first time scum stress may look and feel like. I can't speak for what Redemption is actually going through, but it looks to me like my own first time scum roll.
