i agree with you. frederick is null to me - he hasnt made any memorable posts. i kinda just get the vibe that hes posting to look like hes posting but isnt really in the game. its kinda scum indicative but there are plenty of reasons town could be doing it too.

I had previously expressed some suspicion of Marky Mark (post 34), and I refuted one of his arguments (post 30).

Yeah, I wasn't active when the wagon on Marky Mark really got going. I was busy in real life, and didn't get a chance to express my final thoughts.

First, I agree that both of you have shown scummy behavior. However, as I've said previously, you've done them to different degrees. Why else do you think I've been gradually becoming suspicious of Fredrick, but not you?
However, even if you two had had the exact same scummy behavior, your reasoning still isn't logically sound. It's sort of similar to the gambler's fallacy. We agree that some of the actions you and Fredrick took are scummy. Just because you happen to be confirmed town, does not mean that Fredrick is somehow less scummy by association. What I'm trying to say is, scummy behavior is scummy.

I'm just continuing to vote for Gawr, I dunno if they're gonna come back and say more, and then if they do I'll decide what to do. Lynch on Marky Mark is fine I have no objection to it. Marky Mark's votes just flail around between whoever is 'offering less content' or whatever, and his whole entire posts are just about how people should be generating content and explaining themselves and so on - there was no indication that people weren't going to sorta do this anyway so I don't know if it needed to be said once. So I've read so much about how it's important to generate content, and him signposting exactly what he's doing and how towny it is that I just think 'yeah I don't need to read this any more we can lynch him it's fine'.

Otherwise I think everyone else seems like town other than hessian who piggybacked Marky Mark's sketchy 'generating content' and 'look how town I am' stuff. Plus they both made some rough arguments (Marky Mark in post 27, hessian in post 34). Actually yeah I think one of those two will be the mafia and then yeah maybe Gawr for the other one.

this post also provides motivation for you to kill trendall, while theres not much motive for fred to kill trendall

My defense here is that... I didn't kill Trendall. We've had this discussion already. I didn't think Trendall's argument was credible at all, and I definitely didn't feel "threatened" by it.
When I first read Trendall's post, I basically thought, "I get that he's annoyed I've asked him to consider how his posts are coming across, especially given that he's an SE in a Newbie game. But I think everyone else will be able to be objective about this. Especially since I've been actively hunting, the accusation of 'talking a lot but not actively helping town' shouldn't be considered as credible by anyone."

Even better, because it's such an obvious move, he can simply sit back and let others (primarily donkihott) do the dirty work of pointing out the supposed conflict. That's pretty clever.

I don't think that you should rule out the "clever misdirection" possibility so quickly. Especially when the alternative is that "scum!hessian made a NK that will definitely, 100% be used to accuse her at some point."

Actually, now that I think about it -- Trendall accused two players, me and Gawr. As of the end of Day 1, no other player had accused more than two players. So since scum!Fredrick needs to set up three mis-elims, that makes Trendall the most exciting target.

On the other hand, think about this from the perspective of scum!hessian -- even if I was motivated to NK Trendall, I'd probably fear that it would be too obvious.

Trendall's NK should be viewed as evidence for scum!Fredrick, or at the very least neutral between scum!Fredrick and scum!hessian.
