To clarify, after lunar started getting pressured, unwnd redirected and challenged BBmola pretty hard.

illwei not likely to be scum partners. E-2 when Turtle gave his read, so I’d entertain a scum turtle world. BB unlikely to be scum partner.

Peta...I also think is unlikely, but maybe distancing? Don’t really love any of these worlds. Going to read more later tonight and try to form better reads.

Am trying to answer BBMola’s question about scum partners in a world where Lunar flips scum.

Would scum unwnd ever defend like this?
There is a theory called the chainsaw defense... I am unsure how much of a tell it is. If I had to guess, figuring out whether it comes from scum or not is player dependent... Maybe someone else can attest to whether or not its a reliable tell. We had a discussion on it in the previous game I played byt I don't think any good insight came from it.

My reason for coming off unwnd is more personal. Last game I did my best to try to convince folks of my 2 scum reads D2, D3 and D4 (the damn game went 5 days) and both reads were wrong... Finally when I had a great read on the eventual scum in F3, my other townie scum read me too hard to get her to vote the other guy. So, I simply have cold feet about unwnd, I just think I need to let others lead right now... plus his tone changed... It's just all wrong.

I think a lot of the things you're saying quiet could be either summarized or put down somewhere else. The best advice someone ever gave me when it came to this game is "Think before you post." I believe in your case, you find yourself in continual thought tangents that are meant to be productive, but look confusing to the rest of us. There is lack of room between your posts and it gets hard to follow because you are postulating extensively for what is still a relatively fresh game. My best advice to you is to learn to prioritize, and through experience develop your own habits as to how you would like to deliver information. Right now all I see your posts at a base level is just scattered information that I don't know to do with; I do town-read the effort though.

I like Quiets musings personally, I think they’re relevant

I’m content with a Lunar elim, but
always get a claim before a hammer.

It’s site standard and also helps prevent elimming PRs pointlessly.

I can try to elaborate but a Lunar flip would help me figure that out better anyway and I don’t want to elim PETA today

I want to look at this lunar wagon later. I scum read him and I have a really bad feeling about this. I feel a lot of votes are opportunistic which makes me think I got that read wrong.

Also for the exact opposite reason if quiet. I town read turtle. He actually feels new and looks a bit overwhelmed.

I think we may be able to find scum if we look back at pressure on turtle for inactivity and the wagon on lunar.

Really interested if any votes or reads 180ed to these 2

Not to single the newbies out, but it's very interesting in the way you guys have been having discourse right now. A lot of wordy analysis but I also remain a bit unsettled about it. Mr. Turtle's #385 highlights this opinion, where I feel like a majority of the content is made with uncertainty. A lot of "I don't know" or "It could be this way" or even posing two possible scenarios and highlighting them both in your posts. I know this is likely coming from inexperience but you don't have to tell everyone what you're thinking, especially if you don't know.
If you don't know something: Ask. Ask your other players if you can't understand their intentions. Or..make a statement that asserts a position.
You don't always need to be shamefully honest and say things like "Well I don't know" and "Mostly gut". I would attribute that behavior as a waffling scum who is just exaggerating a townie mindset.

I'm willing to give leeway on this however because I believe most of you are trying and I'm not ready to believe (You) Mr. Turtle is just waffling as scum and trying to exaggerate a townie mindset. Mr. Turtle, are you worried about being wrong? What's keeping you from making commitment? Don't worry about being wrong, you won't be judged and I think it's a skill to not be afraid to be wrong. If we all played in such a guarded way where we had to back up our thought processes with another scenario in our head just to double-check, it'd be really hard to determine what people mean. Any speculation you feel can likely be solved through interaction and again, asking questions. Do you suspect Mikul? Why? Try to summarize it for me and don't worry about it being gut or anything like that. It's perfectly fine to just have a feeilng, I certainly just have one with Lunar and am just leading with it.

I think this is fair, and I can tone it down.

I do think at least some of the questions help solve the game. For example, tomorrow I’m excited to get the mechanics breakdown of BBmolas play. I think both the breakdown and the way people go about justifying or hating it might be telling. Also, it feels like some of y’all are playing with this mechanical information in your head. I don’t have it, so I have to ask.

Also, I do think that talking about the ringers/newbies thing helps solve the game. People have soft declared what they want their playstyle to be. I’d like that codified, so if it changes, that informs my position. Do ringers plan to be more passive or more controlling? What was the purpose of joining this game, and are newbies willing to step up and push agendas, cause if we’re not, ringers have no choice but to step in.

I’ll put a hold on all theoretical questions for the rest of day1, but given how long the days are, I’ll probably start them up again for the first few irl days of tmmrw. Unless everyone thinks I should save them for postgame-I’d love to get some feedback then. This has been super fun.
do what you want to, i'm just saying your current approach looks like you could be scum filling the air with words about whatever to appear to be contributing when it's a generic subject that doesn't hep read people or take stances anywhere
