also, this is a random thought, I'm not necessarily trying to apply it to marci specifically, but I remember Smart saying it was townie in a general sense for someone to have a lot of proposals out because it doesn't feel like an agenda, and I dunno if I fully buy that. because the advantage to being a scum!Gent with multiple proposals is you get a lot of muddied associatives for free.

For example, if scum!marci knows she can't be endgame scum, then by proposing to players she sees as strong (LLD, GL), assuming we are town

a) we either accept her proposal, at which point our pair

must die

for town to win by LIMLO and you can either coast to endgame off a power town or take out the inconvenient town!Lady that way,
or
b) we reject her proposal, which means if she redflips later then we had a potentially weird interaction with flipped scum and it might be writable by buddies as a distancing play/narrative because our slots are associated now.

It could also create some cover for scum to propose to one of their buddies amongst a group of three, if people are of the mindset that "scum won't propose to a buddy like that" or anything similar.

so yeah, I'm not saying it's inherently scummy for someone to have multiple proposals, like I wouldn't point to this and say it makes someone scum, but I can see a lot of potential advantages for a scum!Gent to play that way and I wouldn't say they're especially unlikely to do it.

that my best endgame pair atm is Shiro and HQ. They're the only two that don't make sense in any scenario.

i didn't really think anything of it, especially considering at one point, i think shortly after the first dance started, i started thinking which pairs would be my most comfortable endgame pairs (not taking into consideration my own pair and the ic pair). i came to the conclusion that it would've been std/titus, and i was like "holy shit that is actually sad LMAO"

so i can relate to the sentiment of "this is currently my most confident endgame pair but my god i don't like that"

i mean, marci said that the fact this post exists somehow means that the peeps who attacked norwee for not autoaccepting the ic is Bad and Scummy because he laid out what he was gonna do beforehand, but... that doesn't change anything??? like i don't give a shit that before the Official Proposal, ic was like "ay yo norwee would you pair with me" and norwee was like "maybe but i don't know", that doesn't unvalidate my point

like the fact itself that this posts exists is already a red flag for me because ??? it doesn't mesh with what i know of town!norwee at all so it still feels like scum!norwee realizing pairing with the ic is a death sentence and going "oh shit oh fuck i need to give reasoning for not pairing with the ic uhhhhhh"

all of a sudden, in 3595 and 3598, she's accusing me and guiltylion of doing what's "easy" when we're attacking norwee - she didn't

and once again, in her towncase of 3975, she's once again pointing out that we are being big mean bullies in attacking norwee for this. now, she did link guiltylion's 3574, so it's possible that her opinion of him changed from the individual and pairings readslistlist up until now

but, she also links my 1275.

how the hell is she taking THAT to be a point against me and a point in favour of norwee, when AFTER THAT POST (2459 and 3091) she not only puts me as townier on her readslist than norwee, she puts me/gl two slots above her own dance pair in terms of pureness?

This feels like highly complicated scum play that I wouldn't expect most people to be thinking about. I think if scum made multiple proposals it was less likely "let's take down a strong townie or else make our interactions odd if they refuse" and more "haha dancing go brrr", which is why I gave marci only mild +town points for that.

Regardless I think Datisi's find and marci's supposed desperation add to the already numerous strikes against that pair. I'm willing to hammer, but I would like to hear marci respond to some of this stuff first.
