Here's how this works; each Player PMs me
a mafia mechanic
after /ining. This mechanic could range anywhere from new roles, all the way to whole new concepts nobody has every seen.

THEN; I will try to fit together 5 of these mechanics into that game, all at once, while also making it as balanced as possible. A few of the mechanics will be made public, some will not. It depends on what it is.

This is the first of my experimental series of micro games I'm going to run, in order to test out things and ideas for future, bigger and broader projects. Enjoy!

No pre-deteremined roles. At the start of each day, you're randomly designated the Secret Santa of someone else. There's a pool of abilities available each day (listed below) handed out on a first come, first served basis. It's up to you whether you want to give something good or something crappy. Mafia team and voting work as usual.

List of available abilities:

I had a set-up for 13 players in mind, but I'm not sure if it works or if it's fun, so I wanted to try it out as a micro.

Traitors don't know who the "real" mafia are.
Mafia don't have factional kill.
Every player has an optional vengekill on lynch.
With even fewer townies in this 9 player version, I'll have mafia kill each one of them in order to win.

Edit:

This 9 player version has one problem the 13 player version doesn't have, so I added an alternative win condition for town: they can win by killing the real mafia OR all of the traitors.
