Put that down, dad! Put that down.

Tabris looks around, filled with hope, to see if Death is near. It isn't. What happens, Tabris wonders, when Death is the only person you trust in the room? What happens?

DEATH straddles his scythe and rides around the scene like an imaginary cowboy intent on laying down some ol' fashioned "justice"

YEEEEHAAAWWWW! Listen here you cattle, I have things to say.

First, I think Tabris is making a fair point against our angelic friend. Why the sudden flipflop on a mistrust you held so close to your chest only moments prior? I listend to you intently in the bowels of hell as you rambled on like a lovelorn solioquist on the many splendord stenches of Mr. Odbody's character, and now you have cold feet. Now you are telling me my patience could be all for naught?

Perhaps you're ready for the business end.

DEATH rudely shoves his blade under the nose of The Angel. It smells of jasmine and the finest metal polish.

Second,

Turning to Tabris

Part of your theory is flawed. It is cleared stated in the laws of the great beyond that any and all Advocates on this plane of existence will *always* be chosen by the decepticons. It sucks I know, but life's a bitch and then you die.

So, the way I see it, the decepticons may have sent their false idol Mr. Odbody with correct information in a last ditch effort to save his miserable life. I believe the information we requested from the great beyond would be of some use to us in determining which of the ladies we trust.

DEATH runs his bony index digit along the hooked nose of the Crone and sighs

Of course, love, I know that the advocates are chosen by the decepticons. But - the decepticons aren't the ones whispering what the hints are, are they??? I thought not, but I might be mistaken.

Do we have news from the coronrer as to the recent spate of deaths, such as, are they the same manner of death? Were they evil and deserving to die?

You know the scent of jasmine makes my knees buckle.

Yeah, we cannot know for sure who is handing out the hints. I was under the impression that they came directly from the supreme being, but I may be wrong. The decepticons, of course, know everything anyhow, so they can choose whether or not they want to pass on the correct and full information of the supreme being.

The question here is if the hypo-decepticons Odbody and cueball are more interested in making themselves look good or giving us all syphilis through the wrong woman. It would be a great cost to them to pursue the latter.

Apparently our coroner is still carrying out the autopsy of the dearly beloved.

I thought the decepticons chose good/bad/whatever but the supreme overseer of all things chose the hints. That's my understanding. And my understanding is much like the AT field; impenetrable, at the molecular level.

My theory is this. The decepticons were humiliated twice. Surely, this will bring up long lost memories of being bullied as children, being made fun of because their AT-field was like Swiss cheese, because their nails were dirty and didn't learn to tie their shoelaces until they were 12.

Now, now they're angry. Now they have to take out the big guns. They might have been impotent, roll-over pasties twice in a row, but you bet they have now grown teeth and claw. Whatever they tried before failed spectacularly. We laughed. We mocked them. We kicked dirt in their unknown faces. We forced them to carry our waste in buckets to the farthest compost pile.

Now the decepticons must succeed. They hunger to show us what they are made of. They want to win. And frighten. And intimidate.

Today can't possibly be the cakewalk that the first two days were.

And remember, Death, my love; tomorrow is going to be easy as pie for us.

So today is the decepticons last chance to show us that they have testicles. Testicles that are connected to the usual hardware, but with thick walled, oversize diameter metal pipes that can take very high heat and pressure, shooting a super-concentrated ooze of syphilis bacteria.

Tabris gets all dreamy, then gets a hold of himself.

They're going to pull all the stops.

Like having two deceptions as our advocates. Or some other strategy. Whatever they do; you can be sure that they are sparing no expense in fooling us throroughly.

What point is there for them not to totally scumikaze this scene, when all but two decepticons are going to be dumped like useless ballast just before The Apocalypse? They're not running for mayor. They don't care for town cred anymore.

DEATH looks away from Tabris, clearly forlorn. Speaking to himself.

I...I...have never felt this way before. What is this aching in my bones? This desire replace the Spanish moss and dead oaks along the River Styx with sunflowers and budding willows? Is this the emotion mortals call love? Impossible. I am DEATH. It couldn't be. I, I must not allow it.

Returning his gaze to Tabris, maggots crawl from DEATH's hollow eye sockets and fall like tears upon the ground.

Your oration is quiet beautiful and persuasive. I must say, you are not like any of the slack-jawed meatbags I have known before.

Wiping away the maggots now.

You know, I believe you may be on to something, especially given that you and I, my boy, seem to be the only ones speaking and trying to reach a decision. The rest of our compatriots seem content to stand as silent as the statues from which me must choose.

Jesus Tabris calm yourself times twenty. Basically you're saying that we shouldn't trust that we're being fed the correct information right?

by GoofballsAndBaloons
Yes, I think that the decepticons aren't allowing to let themselves be robbed of glory a third time. They have found that subtle deception is failure. Today is their last chance to go with the BIG LIES.

Therefore I... I...

Tabris spots a maggot crawling near his feet. He looks up. He sees what appears to be little red candles in Death's eye sockets. They glow and flicker from the breeze of maggots crawling out.

Had Tabris not drunk the love potion in big gulps, he might have found the scene to be comical, much like All Saint's day. But instead he looked adoringly at the magnificent skull, so old, and so wise; weak for having no muscle tone, yet so strong; and the scythe, the scythe with the curious scent of jasmine. He longed to kiss the bare teeth as if they were luscious, hungering lips.

Where was I?
Tabris asked, caring about nothing else but finding himself in the silken embrace of the Grim Reaper.
Oh yes. I think I remember. I think that the probability that we are being bamboozled is so high as to go the opposite way of what is suggested.

Suddenly, it struck Tabris. The Crone represents wisdom, repose, death, and endings represented by the waning moon. The Crone. And death. Death. Irresistible Death.

I wonder what maggots taste like... they must taste of...

*and Tabris' voice tapers into an inaudible whisper.*

In case you've forgotten Tabris we all have equal billing so quit the dramatics and hogging the limelight if you plan on getting any sort of job after this.

Back to the important matter so what are you suggesting we pick the Crone? I can't understand you when you muddle your lines with unnecessary fluff.

DEATH slap the Count. The outline of a skeletal hand is clearly seen upon his pale skin

You shut your mouth you whore! Tabris is but a boy with an idea and a dream.

I don't even think you are really of the nobility. What country are you from? Who's the king? If only I had the skin and facial muscles to squint at you.

Besides, what ideas have you proposed thus far? Do you trust the soul called Odbody? Cueball? SPEAK DAMN YOU!

We should pick anything but what the scumbags are telling us to pick. I don't think we're getting reliable information at all. My thinking is that whatever the answer of the no-brainer kindergarten obvious puzzle they are feeding us, is incorrect. I think they got together to make sure they win this point after they lost the other two, and have little hope of winning the fourth.

Since whatever alternate choice is WIFOM, you've already mentioned a preference for Crone, and Crone is my beloved Death; Crone is fine with me.

Death do you honestly think that I trust anybody? No. Such an idea is preposterous. I think for this round I shall go with whatever the majority believes is the best choice.

I think I'm standing on the edge of a platform with a noose around my neck and some pushy people standing behind me. I think if I voice my opinion that I think we should follow the Mother because I trust the information that was given to us and I am wrong I will be the first to go. So for my own personal safety, I have reserved my opinion until now. I don't quite care about whether or not I'm a leader or a follower right now. The group decides that the Mother is the wrong one to follow then I shall follow the group.

During the Between-Scenes, you seemed resigned to the fact that you were going to be lynched. I wish I could quote you from then, but you were like "well, it looks like a whole bunch of people want me to die." Don't go acting now as if I'm the only one now. Of course, Mr. Ito and Glork *did* conveniently die overnight.....

Tabris, I already stated that if I had to pick now, I'd pick the Mother. Please pay more attention next time. Also, Uncle B and I don't really talk anymore. Last Christmas, he sent me a serpent. It nearly swallowed me whole. I'm still quite upset about it. Why can't he get along with the rest of the family?

I'm not really sure what you mean by "settle for four defeats in a row." You're doing your crazy backwards logic that manages to piss someone off without failure. I'm looking at a double-victory from yesterday, and I aim for a double-victory today.

DEATH, I've already gone over why I think we should trust Mr. Obody and Mr. Locke today.
If either one of them dies as scum and their information is INACCURATE, I have won. I have successfully shown that scums who are to die will do whatever they can to mislead the town before they die.
If they both die as scum and their information is ACCURATE, the remaining living scums can shove "Gaspar said they'd mislead the town, but obviously Yos/Elmo didn't" down my throat for the rest of the game.

I don't think the scums want to prove the point I've been making for basically the entire game by giving inaccurate information here. If Obody/Locke are town, they are telling the truth. If they are scums, they may or may not be telling the truth, but lying basically confirms what I've been trying to say ALL FUCKING GAME, which I'm guessing they don't want to do.

I'm not really sure how I can put that any other way. Either you understand it or you don't. But please quit harassing me with unnecessary dumb questions that I've already answered.

Tabris, a quick question: What happened to your recent certainty that Mr. Obody and I are not of the same good/evil nature? You expressed this with great certainty just a short while ago, and now you seem to think that Obody and I are in cahoots together. Is it simply because I think the Mother should be chosen?

Yes, Angel. At first I thought only one of you was a decepticon. But now - now that you are covered in the pestilent muck of accepting UNCHALLENGED and UNQUESTIONED the twin claims of two of the most dubious characters in the Evangelion universe and whatnot, I can only conclude that you are all in cahoots.

You were too quick to conclude. Too quick to accept. To quick to CREATE A MOMENTUM and you hope other players will follow. You planned it all to look so obvious. A no-brainer.

Was failure to get the momentum to swing in your favor the problem in the first couple of scenes? Yes, it's payback time today for the decepticons, but I will have none of it.

Posted: Thu Sep 24, 2009 1:50 pm
by GoofballsAndBaloons
What I mean is that they've had 2 defeats in a row already. Tomorrow's scene isn't likely to swing in the decepticon's favor. Therefore today is the day that you and your demonic associates have to wrestle at least one point from us.

Every sentient meatbag out there knows that this isn't backwards logic. You are using rhetoric and hyperbole to discredit my fine argument; you know very well that rhetoric and hyperbole is the tool of Satan himself.

For a moment, Tabris recalls that he was bullied as a child for his uncontrollable use of rhetoric and hyperbole. Yes, thinks Tabris, this sure is rich coming from me.

And Death surely WILL NOT FAIL to notice that YOU FAIL to mention the high probability that the decepticons have sent off two of their own in an act of despair, wasting little more than two of their members are are so tainted as to be UNSALVAGEABLE.

I cannot imagine a town-Angel wilfully ignoring this very real possibility.

You are right, Angel is acting quite inconsistant. Earlier, he was trying to claim that scum would sacrifice themselves for little gain, now he's claiming that they would not for anything? ANd that earlier stance was also inconsistant from what he was saying before then.

I will say that your logic is incorrect, though; if there are currently 5 people who can not be trusted, then if 3 of them are removed, then none of what happens with any of our decisions matters at all. So it wouldn't make any sense for them to trade 2 of their own for a on-scene decision. Also remember that we are dealing with 7 choices here; I would expect the amount of resources they are willing to sacrifice for any one choice are quite limited.

Personally, I'm quite convinced that the only reason Angel keeps contradicting himself is because the only reason he ever claimed to believe that the scum would sacrifice one of their own for such little gain was because that way he could continue to try and attempt to destroy John Locke, when John is clearly a trustworthy fellow. The fact that those who can not be trusted apparently forced Locke into a position that seems designed to make him look worse fits well with that.

Maybe some actors are no longer considered as 'resources,' maybe they're dead weight. Worthless cannon fodder.

(shrug) Anyway, based on what Locke was saying and the format he was saying it in, I'm pretty sure he's telling the truth.

Plus. if Locke was scum, that would mean that the scum currently have a LOT of power, due to his ability that I can't really discuss right now. He's the last person they would want to sacrifice; they'd probably do their best to keep him out of the spotlight, in fact.

If you guys are hoping for some Divine Intervention to get rid of Mr. Odbody somehow, then don't hold your breath.

Some undependable helper didn't delegate properly and now God is angry with us and will not do any favors for us until the delegation is fulfilled.

Locke McSlop can be fired. Also, after Scene 4, he will be of no use at all. No sale.

Say, can someone let us know whether the dead were decepticons???

Also, were anyone slain by claimed god-appointed vigilantes?
