I like the word ensorcel. Thanks for replacing, petroleum.

Big oops on targeting c_d for a NK. I believed his vig claim and thought he was the most confirmed.

I'm also surprised farside didn't use her safe claim. I never needed mine since I was never under enough suspicion to claim, but she was - when she didn't, I thought maybe I was given one but she wasn't.

Elmo, if you were 90% sure I was scum, you should've made a better case. If c_d hadn't killed me, I think this game would've turned out differently. Was fun :)

Elmo nailed C_D. Otherwise we'd have let him live, lynched Elmo, and I'd have pushed for C_D's lynch the next day. I was very sure Yosarian was town. I couldn't actually say that I'd push for C_D's lynch the next day, though, because he'd have killed me.

But the credit for figuring out that they were all daykills goes to Elmo. Otherwise this game would have taken longer and probably not turned out so well.

"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

If this affected C_D's choice, lots of cred to Elmo!
Well, it was basically a last-ditch effort; the sheer hilarity of it actually
working
is only just sinking in, if it did. That would be so awesome if it actually worked; I was going to be lynched, but got the serial killer to daykill the last mafia member and then got the serial killer lynched, ahaha. 8-)

I have, like, no idea why she didn't. I think she might have ended up lynched anyway, Priestess is quite a weak nameclaim, but it's certainly better than claiming vanilla and getting lynched for sure. Perhaps she figured you'd need it later, I don't know. I'm sceptical she would have survived to endgame, anyway.

I was pretty sure c_d was a SK from the point he claimed; I was just wracking my brains trying to figure out what his killing mechanics were, and how best to prove it. (I got bitten by the assumption that Serial Killers always kill at night for a while.) I was just staring at the list of kills on the front page for a while, then I noticed it; I thought it was a mod mistake at first! I don't think c_d would have survived day 4, I really don't, regardless of what happened. (I still have no idea why anyone bought his claim, but eh, no complaints.) We actually had some very good luck and very bad luck in role assignments.. if either of Samruc or Porochaz weren't masons, if Antithesis wasn't the weaponsmith, if Yos had been the SK, etc. Hrm, interesting.

Yea, I should probably have tried harder to get Setael lynched, I figured more people would see it. I suppose I had one of my ZOMG GUYZ CAN WE JUST LYNCH HER BECAUSE SHEZ SCUM PLZ moments. I was also worried about Yos being her partner, so I wanted him to comment on her first without knowing what I had on her.. I don't follow why he didn't, but I should probably have just made it and tried to figure out Yos later. Ironically, if I'd got Setael lynched that day, Bookitty'd probably have been in the same spot I was! :P

p.s. Bookitty, iirc, I never said anything about you not following my Setael case, she was good scum; I'm sorry if it came across like that <3. Hm, I think I managed to piss off pretty much everyone in this game at some point. :?

Awww :) I was never mad at you, Elmo :)

I thought you were scum for a while, but it was never personal. <3

And by the time you were questioning me this last day I was pretty sure you weren't scum. So at that point I wasn't going to vote for you regardless.

I still want to know why C_D didn't use his safe claim.

Elmo is right. I didn't use the claim because I figured I would be lynched no matter what at that point and decided to leave it for Setael to use if needed. I wasn't imaginative enough to really go with it anyways. I had hoped reading everything that Setael would be safe for a bit and wittle people down. I was surprised she tried to NK C_D instead of one of the claimed mason's, but I guess that was to add to people's confusion. Overall good job to all.

Woo...that was fun. Man, I thought I was about to get lynched yesterday. It's a good thing Bookitty and Elmo were willing to be open-minded and were willing to consider changing their minds about me once I started really defending myself, or we probably would have basically lost right there. And then, instead of getting lynched, I managed to figure out all the scum were, and I was right about everyone except for Elmo. :) Man, I love a come from behind town win like that.
I want us to win just for Yos' inevitable rant alone. -CrashTextDummie

Ether wrote:I was a lot more worried about Farside and Setael than about C_D; the actual timeline was surprising. The crosskills were lucky--C_D, were you aiming for mafia when you hit Setael?
I was aiming for town. Killing mafia would screw me over. For my protection, the only way to win was to keep town at LYLO with the mafia win hanging above them. In that way, it didn't matter if they suspected or had evidence on me being the SK.

I didn't use my safe-claim because it was a name. I noticed that I could practically use any kind of role name I wanted. All I had to do was claim any misleading role name and one of the kills; after that, the explanation in the above paragraph would last until the end of the game.

I never noticed the day 2 result and I was thinking of ways to get out. My final explanation was to just lie, claim lyncher, and say that setael was my target and I already won the game. However, it was ridiculous and I just gave up and waited for the lynch.
