This award is given to the moderator who, over the course of the past year, exemplifies the best qualities of a moderator in the operation of the game, including but not limited to quality and frequency of vote counts, organization of the game, dealing with issues that arise, keeping players active, and so forth. Judges may consider how challenging the games a moderator ran were, but they shall not penalize a moderator for only running more basic games. A mod must run at least 3 games to completion in the calendar year to be considered for this award.

: Also known as the “Don Corleone” Award. Awarded to the player who has the strongest single game performance as mafia. In rare cases, where a player feels an entire scumteam gelled to create a strong cohesive scum performance, multiple members of a team may be nominated.

: Also known as the “Kodak Moment” Award. Awarded to the player or players who were involved in the most memorable event in a game of mafia. Fake claims, funny claims, awesome exchanges, etc. may all be considered for this award

Game of the Year

: Also known as the “Player’s Choice” Award. This award is given to the moderator of a game. It is given in recognition of the overall excellence of a game. The Game of the Year award is a "catch all" award for the best overall game throughout the entire year, considering all aspects of the game from moderator quality, to the excellent design and composition of the game, to the performance and cohesion of the playerlist. A Game of the Year is meant to be the game that we can all point to later and say "This game was the best game the site could offer that year in terms of Design, Playerlist, and moderating capability." Nah. Sneaky, but she didn't really have the opportunity for some high-class manipulations. I'd say that if she keeps this up she might be in line for Rising Star, but her join date complicates that.

I probably wouldn't nom that in reality. more of a throwaway compliment, her scumgame has definitely developped from what I've read. Breaking Rising Star up into best improved overall vs best newbie would be fantastic imo but I'm just throwing ideas around in the wrong thread.

TGP played his part well, being in 2 sabotages and confusing town later with the right votes.

I really didn't do much manipulation. Mostly just kept under the radar and played along. It's easy when people weren't really asking me for reads. Besides I did do good at a scum game last year, but my partner was RadiantCowbells and we had day talk, so I'm not sure how that counts either.

And no risk of lynch meant less pressure on me. I don't cope well with pressure.

(besides, there's a high chance I'll finish up my current games and try to disappear again. Failed to do it permanently last time, but I might get away for six months)

I mean he should still just deny missions he isn't in at that point then maybe hammer mission 5.

To be fair this was an embarassing result for town. 6p vanilla resistance is town sided and we had 2 towns go in mission 1.

Pine didn't go on another mission until mission 3, and I was denied the chance to go on any missions based on blind suspicion.

TW what was your mystery plan for mission 2? I couldn't figure it out.

I was expecting TGP to hard spew his partner when he was leader, since it was pretty clear he was the saboteur in mission 2 (this was townconeum). unfortunately town kinda strongarmed the wrong missions + leadership mechanic wrecked VCA = I ended up annoyed and with nothing and basically just like

gonna suggest 6p is town sided but leadership mechanic quite substantially changes the way the game is analysed in a forum situation. I think I'd prefer to stick with the non leadership format tbqh but maybe me + resistance just = town loss?
