On a more serious note, while I sympathize greatly - I’ve dealt with crippling depression and anxiety my whole life - that discussion doesn’t belong in the game. It’s manipulative and besides that it’s in the ruleset. You know I love you tons and I’m super happy you’re here so just do your best.

dunno why ppl join games to take them not seriously. It feels like it would be insulting to the mod/reviewers that put a decent amount of work in (and other players that are actually playing. It also breaks the spirit of the game rule, I think.

kinda? Bastard is just an umbrella term for certain mechanics. I think a mod can still make a "bastard" game and attempt to balance and try and make is a srs game, as opposed to "lol balance" trash games that are just a buncha roles thrown together.

The specific bastard mechanic here is non-random change in win-con. Knowledge that you may not remain with the same win-con can inform and affect your play, and it is fine for players to play as such IMO.

It's why I'm as good as they say I am. I take every game 100% seriously, no matter what type it is. You need to do that if you want to maintain a 80% winrate.
