This.

Starbuck -6 (Kairyuu, xylthixlm, Knight of Cydonia, DeathNote, mykonian, Llamafluff)
DeathNote -2 (Starbuck)
mykonian -1 (Stephoscope)
Not Voting: mykonian, zwetchenwasser, Gorrad

If you want the others to see me, have them touch the notebook.

With 10 alive, it takes 6 to lynch.
Because, no matter how you dress it up, that's what the world is. A community of idiots doing a series of things until the world explodes and we all die.

Starbuck protested as the mobsters gathered around him. "Look! It's impossible I'm Misa. I'm a male!"

"But you're ditzy and a complete idiot! Clearly you are merely attempting to pretend being male so that we wouldn't realize it was you Misa!"

Starbuck gulped because of fear of the Shinigami King's wrath with his next claim. "I...don't think this is against the rules (as I really want to avoid second degree agony), but I am pretty sure I can admit that I am..."

And with that, Starbuck's neck was lassoed with a rope. Unfortunately for his attackers, this did not stop Starbuck,
Sidoh
from finishing her claim with "a shinigami."

Tired and exhausted from the day's failed lynch, everyone went home disappointed.

Night ends in four days so send in night actions.

Stephen Gevanni kept his careful eyes on Teru Mikami. With Near dead, Stephen felt certain his deceased boss’ orders were correct. Certainly, Teru had to be acting as the current Kira.

L , on the other hand, had currently held suspicions on Misa. She was Light Yagami’s boyfriend, and though the lack of a notebook fails to pin him as Kira, he knew that it must be because somehow Misa was able to take the notebook and leave herself clear of suspicion by the large question mark of “Was Light really Kira all along?”

The plan wasn’t perfect so to assume this silly girl, who is certainly smarter than the average citizen but lacking the intellect of himself or Light, would do such a move isn’t beyond reason. Additionally, the criminals being punished were, for the most part, the same ideals as Light. However, recent deaths indicate that the rules have become harsher. Could it be that a second note was being used by a Kira supporter? Could then another Kira appear? If so, then who is the . . .

L dropped the spoon he was holding. “No…” he whispered as he followed suit and dropped to the floor. It seemed that all too soon stephoscope,
L
, would once again see Watar in the next life. However, how could this be true? It were merely Mu, and such a thought is merely a last moment comfort. Beyond this is nothingness, and throughout the agony of his remaining moments, L forced himself to confront that fact. He had no life left, and in the end, the greatest detective ever had lost.

Misa glanced at zwetchenwasser, or so she called herself, as she turned the corner. She knew that zwetchenwasser had been tailing her for a while, and so she stopped into a nearby telephone booth, and after looking at the spy once more for spelling, she pulled out small sheet of paper and wrote down the name. She then walked out of the booth without making a call and continued to walk down the street.

After about 20 paces, Misa had to hold in her joy as panic broke out behind her. The people on the street started to tend to the fallen woman, but Misa-Misa knew it to be to no avail because zwetchenwasser,
Naomi Misora
, was already dead.

“Huh?” kairyuu said to quietly to himself, “Did Teru… he never goes to the bank two days in a row. This could be it!”
Valiantly,
Stephen Gevanni
rushed in and immediately dialed a person who he knew he could trust: “Knight of Cydonia, get over to the main Tokyo branch of the national bank.”

Immediatley, Knight of Cydonia,
Shuichi Aizawa
, and his partner Gorrad,
Kanzo Mogi
, were quick to arrive. The entered quickly, guns at the ready, but it was too late. As they entered with guns held at the ready, the quickly fell over within seconds.

“Fools,” Teru commented, “I already know your identities, and with the three shinigami no longer able to confuse me, I am one brush stroke away from becoming the one who enacts God’s will.”

And at to meet his desired end, he wrote out the name of xylthixlm,
Misa Amane
.

“God,” deathnote said to the higher heavens, “It was chance that I picked up this notebook, and with it, I promise to save the world from the evil that corrupts it! I will be your envoy, and with this, the world will change!”

deathnote,
Teru Mikami-Kira
, wins and survives.
Llamafluff,
Rem
, wins and returns to the Shinigami Realm.
mykonian,
Ryuk
,loses and returns to the Shinigami Realm.
Starbuck,
Sidoh
, loses and dies because he no longer has a death note.

zwetchenwasser,
Naomi Misora
, died of a heart attack N5.
stephoscope,
L
, died of a heart attack N5. #

All others deaths are a result of being end gamed.

You are
Light Yagami
. You are clever and popular, with good intentions. You are also a bit of a control freak. You mean to rid the world of evil and be the god of the new utopia.

You know that Matt is not in the game.

You may converse with Teru Mikami, Kyosuke Higuchi, and Shuichi Aizawa at night, but you may only do so at the following locations, respectively: [link], [link], [link]. You may converse with Ryuk at any time, but only at the following location: [link].

You possess a Death Note.
Rules of Death wrote:
  • At night, you may anonymously give away your Death Note to any player. You may also choose to destroy it.

  • With a Death Note, you may kill once per night. You may choose whether to have the player die immediately or after a certain amount of posts, and in what way. If no specifications are given, the kill defaults to immediate and death of a heart attack.

  • If a human obtains a Death Note and he already has one, he must immediately give it away to a player of his choice.

  • The same rule applies to Shinigami; however, Shinigami wait until the end of the night to give it away.
If at any time during the day you post anything containing the phrase 'get rid of it' (capitalization and spacing don't matter, but it must be those exact words in that exact order, and it must be easily apparent, ie, not within hidden tags or in tiny font), you will automatically give up control of your Death Note to Ryuk.

If you no longer have possession of a Death Note, you lose your memory and appear as innocent to all investigations, but may no longer converse with Ryuk or those loyal to your cause at night. However, in addition to your normal win condition, you must also regain a Death Note.

You win if you are still alive when L, Mello, and Near are no longer in the game.

You are
Misa Amane
. You want to help your true love, Light Yagami, rid the world of evil. You are completely devoted to him.

You know that Lind L. Tailor is not in the game.

You may converse with Rem at any time, but you may only do so at the following location: [link].

At night, you may search for your true love, Light Yagami, by PMing me the name of the player you would like to investigate. If you find him, you join his cause and may converse with each other at night.

In addition, at night, you may investigate one person with your Shinigami eyes. You will receive a copy of their role PM.

In addition, if at any time during the day you post anything containing the phrase 'get rid of it' (capitalization doesn't matter, but it must be those exact words in that exact order, and it must be easily apparent, ie, not within hidden tags or in tiny font), you will automatically give up control of your Death Note to Rem.

If you no longer have possession of a Death Note, you lose your memory and appear as innocent to all investigations. You will no longer be able to converse with Rem or Light unless you regain a Death Note.

You win if you find Light and he is still alive when L, Mello, and Near are no longer in the game, or if you are the last player alive.

You are
L
. You are the world's finest detective, the world's second-finest detective, and the world's third-finest detective. You've raised using alts to an art form. You enjoy
moonlit walks on the beach
interesting puzzles and sugar.

You may converse with Watari at night, but only at the following location: [link].

At night, you may recruit one player. This doesn't affect their role or alignment, but they will receive access to the above link. Your identity will be revealed to them.

In addition, at night, you may investigate one person with access to the above link (you may not recruit a player and investigate them on the same night). You will receive a copy of their role PM.

If you obtain a Death Note, you will automatically destroy it.

You win when all Death Notes have been removed from the game.

You are
Near
. Your only motivation is being the best. You don't care about anything else. You're barely human. The only people you respect are those superior to you - namely L.

During the day, you may choose one player to investigate. You will receive a likelihood that they are allied with Kira.

In addition, at night, you may choose one person to recruit into the SPK. They will be informed, and all SPK members may communicate privately, but only at the following location: [link]. If L dies, Mello, Watari, and Aiber will receive access to the above link.

In addition, every night you will learn who has been targeted for a kill before the night ends.

If you obtain a Death Note, you will automatically destroy it.

You win when all Death Notes have been removed from the game.

Mod Notes: Receives 2% on investigators, 5% on other protown players, 8% on Shinigami, 92% on pro-Kira townies, 95% on those allied with Kira, and 98% on Light Yagami.

You are
Mello
. You are one of L's successors, and you share his fondness for sweets. Unlike L, however, you tend to be motivated by emotions and make spur-of-the-moment decisions.

During the day, you may kill one player by Pming me the name of the person who you wish to kill.

If L dies, you will receive a link in which you may communicate with Near, Watari, and Aiber.

If you obtain a Death Note, you will automatically destroy it.

You are a Shinigami. You possess a Death Note.

You win if the game lasts 7 days or longer.

You are

In addition, at night, you may investigate one person with your Shinigami eyes. You will receive a copy of their role PM.

Best Sport of the game!
ZEEnon for not cheating when tempted!
Best use of the quick topic (or use of the conversation theme of the game):
ZEEnon and Llamafluff!!

An "*" indicates the topic was created later into the game because a death note (Light Yagami's) changed hands. There is no Ryuk-Misa topic because Misa had to instantly give away the death note.
WAY TO GO GUYS!

The fate of each Death Note

Light-kun's notebook was given to Misa who killed him, who gave it to Rem. Rem could hold it to the following night, and chose to give it Demegawa. Demegawa was investigated and day vigged by Mello. Upon receiving the death note, Mello destroyed it.
Misa kept her note book the whole game, but post game would probably grant it to Teru.
Rem's lynch randomly gave the notebook to Teru Mikami, who won the game using it because he became Kira.
mykonian's death note was given to a random person on his lynch. Surprisingly, I don't have a record of which anti-town actually got it, but that seems to be irrelevant at this point.

Mod notes on....

Pre-Game discussion:
This was probably one of the most exciting parts of the game. Initially, my biggest issue with this game is finding the perfect Light Yagami. Thankfully, Jebus proved to be outstanding in the role. His early talk with Higuchi, Ryuk, Mikami, and Aizawa was brilliant.
Aizawa's early attempt at an easy win proved futile in his conversations with Light and Misa. Oh yes, this little mix of having the lovers so close yet so apart was devised, but the real curiosity on my mind is whether or not Aizawa knew the two couldn't speak except through him.
Mikami has proven to be shrewd, and although I doubt he'll betray Light, questions he's asked pertaining to his role show he's going to bus him, hard, if Jebus screws up. Mikami is Seraphim, who actually thought a third party was watching the quicktopics (outside of the mods, which was interesting, but false.)
Higuchi seems less willing to bus Light-kun, but in both conversation Light has been careful. Higuchi has, incorrectly, guessed Jebus is Mastin. The most brilliant part of Jebus' interactions is that he has acted completely different in speaking to each person. Looks like cool, always the same playboy Light Yagami has become a master of disguise. Always fitting the mold, which is really amazing play and far beyond my expectations.
Ryuk has mislead Light as to his win condition. He claimed that he needed two DNs to be in play in order to win. Light rebutted Ryuk by claiming that his win condition was probably "kill Light Yagami after day 6." This is really remarkable on Jebus' part since Ryuk's win condition required the game to last to 7 days. Light's only downfall at this point is that Ryuk is removed from the game. When Light informed Higuchi of Ryuk's claimed win condition (about the dns), Higuchi realized that if that were true then Ryuk was not actually neutral and must help Light or else be useless. This was AMAZING. To quote Phate: "If people actually read the rules of my games, they would find them so much easier." Which is correct. Using the fact that Ryuk's claim makes him pro kira but the mod says he's neutral does two things: one- it unveils the fact Ryuk is lying and two-Light can now use this as leverage to control Ryuk, to an extent, until Ryuk confesses the lie. The latter probably happened, but the first one, that Ryuk lied, may not have been realized.
Misa and Rem quickly realized that, together (with Rem being utterly devoted to Misa), they were the most powerful group in the game. This is meant for two reasons: One-Misa could accidently kill Light, thus activating her second win condition which is slightly harder to obtain and two- mirror Light when he says "Misa is too powerful to be kept alive." Misa, should she find Light, will greatly ease his chances for victory. Ryuk is designed as a counterbalance to this speed as he could always try and kill Light or Misa should they win too quickly.

Unfortunately, the anti-kira, the pro town allies, have failed to utilize their pre game discussion and have far less information. Raye Penber, Mastin, has tried speaking to Naomi and has 9 posts to his own credit (giving away to anyone he's Mastin...). Naomi, Zwetchenwasser, picked up his prod late, but even then, failed to respond. Poor Raye.

The last thing to be mentioned is the Aizawa-Misa relationship, which has been hilarious.

Actually, I take that back. As I write this, I just realized that Aizawa (ABR) fake claimed ZEEnon. This could lead to: N1-> Light kills ZEEnon, rem interfers (auto), dies, and then Light should realzie that ZEEnon is Misa! He could then have a death note passed to her, and have Ryuk instruct her to give it back to Jebus who is Light! Aizawa's unlucky break!

Day 1 (under construction, complete during N1!):

Misa, ZEEnon is a genius. She has little "thougths" in red of unrelated goodness which is a perfect Misa-Misa role play! (Act stupid! Even if I'm pretty smart, I'll act stupid!)

Mastin: Eh...this strategy fails.

Kairyuu: He makes me laughs. His false dayvig made me check to see if he was Mello. He wasn't. MUTHAFUCKING GEVANNI!

Light, the star of today's show, has yet to appear at this point. Probably due to time zones, but I think this will only become more and more epic as time passes. I love this so much.

The Rem Misa partnership has proven to be the first to fully extend themselves and their ability to their fullest extent. The moment Misa finds Light, this game could easily fall into Light's favor. The detectives better get to work and never be fooled!

As suggested: some of the anti town talkative function have been paranoid early day 1. Magnus, Higachi, has been called out already for vote hopping. He might get out of it. Well see, huh?
PhilyEc in post 222 wrote:Deathnotes gotta give either Day Kills or Night Kills, Myk. They're powerful tools afterall. Maybe is Mastin is a shinigami, hes got conditions that match up with the anime?

Ryuk needs apples? Rem needs Misa alive and noteless? Sidoh needs to regain HIS deathnote?
Ryuk- WRONG! He needs to stave off boredom. Keep game going for 7 days.
Rem-She needs Misa alive!
Sidoh- OMFG! GET OUT OF MY HEAD!

ABR: Jester? Are you serious? Grr!

ortolan's huge post on page 21 (I think) made me realize a few things:

post 370 by LC really gives away the fact he day vigged Mastin cause he kept up with the he's a jackass (for making me kill a town player). Tough luck Mello, better luck next time!

ZEEnon's play, if held in isolation of all other's games, is genius. She (as Misa, Zee=girl) has successfully taken up the role and role played her to a tee where needed. The other interesting point of the day is the two very different styles of play between Ryuk (myk) and Llama (Rem). It makes sense that Llama would be acting a little more straight because Ryuk needs to delay the game. He's definitely setting himself up to be lynched eventually as to keep the game going a few more days.

I also realized that ortolan is one of the few players who actually read the game's rules. brownie points to ortolan.

Having just had it pointed out to me, the Seraphim and Spolium interaction in posts 386-7 is hilarious. I actually laughed out loud. So much so, that I stabbed Phate. In asking why, I explained "Cause I can lol." The judge found me not guilty.

@Gorrad - Why did you want a flavor claim?
I said. When I made the Death Note mini, I was VERY hard pressed to find protown roles. There aren't a lot of them. So I'm assuming that Phate had the same issue.
MOD KILL! (This is Light-kun, the uncredited Mod. Thanks!)

L and Light
L hasn't impressed me. The only comment on both is that they have said little, which puts them at equal odds directly.

Shinigami:
Ryuk is playin too risky for Light's taste, even if Jebus won't realize it. There is a chance that Rem could end up with Ryuk's notebook, and thereafter, give it up. Rem and Misa could successfully juggle the notebooks by abusing get rid of it, but if Rem were lucky enough to get it and Light targets Zeenon (Rem), there could cause issues.

Pro-Kira
Magnus is very lucky that Mello's murderous attack on Raye saved him from suspicion. ZEEnon is under suspicion for reasons that I don't understand. Yes, ZEE is Misa, but I find that the pursuit of her is a short run advantage to the Anti-Kira faction which could ultimately lead to a long run disadvantage. It really depends on ZEE's play and counter attack.

When Jebus finally joins the fray, we might see one of those grand sweeping moves that saves the weaknesses in the Pro-Kira faction. He might turn the attack back on Magnus, which could easily result in the death of a pro-kira member who doesn't have a note book. It is very unlikely that ZEEnon and Llama (Rem) least of all will be his target, but if so, Jebus can very easily remobilize. Rem will definitely claim Misa, which should buy Jebus and Misa enough time to reorganize death note placement. The new Kira faction would then be Higuchi, Teru, Light, and Ryuk. This would be great for Ryuk, and Light should be able to manipulate this situation. Misa would be okay with dying on that third day cause then Light is very likely to win. Rem would have the biggest issue becuase Misa would be dead, but even in this situation, the Pro-Kira team could annihilate L, Mello, and Near in a matter of moments.

Anti-Kira
Mello is playing strongly and not suspected of being the killer of Raye, and therefore, is not in danger. Well done sir! (However, Jebus' thoughts on who killed Raye haven't been told to Ryuk yet, so who knows if Jebus caught something Misa doesn't. Misa thinks PhilyEc is Mello, and will remove him N1.)

Near is played by semioldguy, who has mostly just avoided the game's core. This is intelligent because, as Near may have guessed of himself, he is the strongest investigator in the game. He has the best chances of tracking down Light...as long as Commander Rester doesn't die.

Kise is Commander Rester, and the odds that he will be targeted by Light's swoop is generally high. Managing to lynch Commander Rester, or even forcing his claim, will push the advantage to Kira's side.

L, Stephoscope, is staying quiet. This may be intentional.
Near, Semioldguy, has made his opening move. It was a waste, actually, because he investigated Zwet, the claimed Naomi. Since no one counter claimed, it seemed obvious, and Raye, who is more obscure, was in the game... eh, Guess it comes down to personal opinion.

The replacement of Light, Jebus, for Vi.

Okay, to start off with: Vi is a fantastic player and in any mafia game I would say that 90% of the time, I would LOVE to have him on my team.

However, his initial talk in the quick topic shows he will play the role in a very inferior fashion when contrasted against his former, Jebus. He even admits this, but I know, 100%, that Light-kun may end up completely destroyed if left to his own devices. Thankfully, since he replaced in during the day, mykonian, Ryuk, will definitely try and prevent him from erring that badly. So long as he does not speak to Aizawa, he should be fine.

Mykonian is a genius, but Llama's plans as Rem may leave the entire anti town faction screwed. The game is going as planned, but may have a sudden turn for the worst if Light-kun screws up.

Night 1:

Good news, Light doesn't screw up. Also, Llama has asked a few interesting questions, and has been correct for the most part. I am personally loving how twisted and all around fucked up player's intentions have become, even among the same faction. The loss of 1 death note was simply tragic for the pro-kira team. However, Misa has made tremendous ground in finding Light, as the night actions will soon reveal, and the faction has recovered. The anti-kira faction is actually in serious trouble as the most powerful piece, Near, has been eliminated early. Mello, as his day play shows, puts him in serious risk (L_C). L_C has bee rash, blunt and all around role playing Mello to a T. The only downfall is the unbelievable suspicion he is hoarding, and when he claims, Light will definitely kill him. In fact, Ryuk's lack of a DN will prove to be a very painful loss since Light is approaching a potential win situation with unbelievable speed. Honestly, I was only mildly worried about Ryuk losing his DN day 1. I figured anyone would save a self lynch (as Ryuk) until the game would be nearly over. The Shinigami eyes were meant to help Ryuk *more* than it helps Light. I suppose mykonian can still lie to Vi about what he sees, but it will all come out in the wash... still, definitely to myk's advantage to lie seeing as how this game could quickly favor an easy Kira victory. Misa might actually lose this game with Rem and Light winning. that would be one of the most unlikely scenarios, but definitely possible. (Also, this last line should hint on some of Llama's questions. No offense Misa (ZEE/Sir Tornado), but Rem is looking out for what's best for her by doing what's best for you. However, Llama's not a douche, I'm sure the above wouldn't be done unless Rem was worried about personally losing, so yay? I love this game!

Tell the town that cateraction (Touta Matsuda) is dead and reveal rolename (mauled by a lion (lol (I suggest a nearby zoo))). ZazieR (Halle Lidner) is also dead, having been beaten to death by Takada's thugs in an alley. Then have a line break, and tell them with x alive, it's y to lynch. Day 2 begins!

Note: why are we having ZazieR die to Takada rather than Light? Didn't we talk about nonDNkills taking precedence over DNkills? And populartajo sent his kill in first. Doctors protect against the first kill. If there' s a legitimate reason that I've forgotten about, go ahead and use 'beaten to death' for flavor, but otherwise use 'found dead of a heart attack'.

Day 2:

Good lord... Okay, first of all, I hate replacing people with a passion.

For the most part, I felt scum was winning by amazing strides today. Mello is very scummy, and he will definitely be claiming soon. Sidoh is about fucked. Ryuk is almost completely fucked, and L is totally fucked.

The night looks great for scum, but a few things that pissed me off:

Gorrad, Mello isn't town. He is ANTI-FUCKING-KIRA. What part of lacking a "pro-town" category are you not understanding? Dammit, the neutrals are Shinigami, the pro-kira need a kira to win, and the anti-kira need death notes gone. End of subject. <---Angry cause he kept insisting Mello is third party. Which, by the way, further fucks the town.

MafiaSSK, oo...tough break. I would have claimed random chance miller, not just miller. Plus, mentioning that group wasn't a smart move. I would have not said anything, but that's okay.

stephoscope, you didn't know it, but town would have had made unbelievable strides toward winning if you died. I would have played super jester all game and gotten myself lynched with a bullshit claim or something. However, I know all, so I know the best town strategy. You were completely unaware of this... however, your claim...gah...that just was twisted against town. Very bad. (Town=anti-kira people)

Lamont...fuck...I can't figure out why everyone thoughts M_O was the day vig and not you... everyone you didn't like, gone. Also, too trigger happy. Killing mastin (though relieving head aches) wasn't great. However, the death of Rester wasn't a huge loss either. He was useless once Near died.

Near's death: Misa's epic win! Llamafluff is a genius. I cannot believe it happened!!! ZEEnon listened and just...good stuff.

Night 2:

...
Oh...my...God...

I must pray that someone explained how it could fall apart:
L lives...Watari doesn't save him, Soichiro did. (WTF, Watari!?)
Misa KILLS Light Yagami. I mean, Vi looked town, but Xyl just replaced in. I would have asked Llama, who needs to die, and Llama would have probably said the claimed L figure. I feel terrible for Misa, but what can you do?
So, Xyl becomes serial killer, and the ungodly strength of Rem+Misa begins its rampage. Misa must now be the last one standing. This does not include the death or removing of game of Shinigami since: A: Rem's death is detrimental, but doable. B: Sidoh must be given a notebook, which is also conceivable, but like a side note, and C: Ryuk must make it 7 days.

Since it is going to be Day 3, Misa has 3 death notes, 2 kills: She will definitely automatically check off the Shinigami almost instantly, so if she wins, she just passes the note to Sidoh (getting rid of the death note juggle or as an option over trusting Demegawa/Teru/Takada with a death note). Misa's life got harder, but definitely not impossible.

Vi's death scene, post 3107:

As Vi walked down the street, a red car passed on the road. The disappearance of Soichiro bothered him. A blue car passed, gun fire...
Light looked into the street and saw the filth he judged. The world wasn't changing quickly enough, it...
Light's thoughts fled as the first one glazed his side. He gritted his teeth fiercly, and his body contorted slightly at the pain. However, this moment of temporary feeling would not last. Another bullet, and then another, and then...nothing...

There is no Heaven or Hell. No matter what you do while you're alive, everybody goes to the same place once you die. Death is EQUAL.

...
D...Damn it...

With 16 alive, it's 9 to lynch.

Day 3:

Hm..no major notes yet. Just first:
Starbuck (Sidoh) your would be case against Light was stupid. You knew he had a note, so I would have dropped it, and just targeted him for the rest of the game with your "help" ability. Odds are, you would have hit the jackpot eventually. *sighs* unless Rem is lynched with two note books, Sidoh's odds of winning are generally low. Hm...
Wonder when she'll be revealed...

A lot of discussion from Light Yagami's death color sparked my interest:

Why is Light a serial killer?

Well...yes and no. He techinically wins with the pro-kira faction. However, his role PM requires that HE be alive. All other pro-kira players just need any Kira alive while Near, L, and Mello are dead. I would also like to note that any player can become a Kira as long as they have a Death Note, with one exception:
Misa is not a Kira as required by the pro-kira win condition.
Shinigami are not Kira as required by the pro-kira win condition.

Notes of interest on Misa/Rem:

I decided that Rem's protection over Misa is slightly underpowered. Indeed, those two together are unbelievably strong, but Misa's win condition just got screwed. I think letting Rem protect Light if he was about to die would have been better. But now...I feel this would only be fair if Misa and Light were already in contact. I suppose in this game, it would not have mattered, but...whatever.

No Kira exists at the moment, which is...mildly unheard of.
I *never* thought it would happen, but in the end, it doesn't matter. Why? Well, if Near, Mello, and L are dead, and Misa thinks to give the notebook to Demegawa/Teru/Takada, the Pro-Kira side automatically wins. It's a pretty interesting mechanic, one that Misa may or may not figure out. Sidoh might have just as well a guess at it, but that isn't important.

Rem has brilliantly moved the wagon over towards tajo, though it did need the help of others of course. Hm... DeathNote is doing okay, and his crossfire with MBL will make him a side note. Minoring oneself as scum isn't terrible play, and with fifteen still alive, it could go unnoticed.

Xyl could systematically break down everyone since she has complete control. Also, the theories buzzing around like: The moderator wouldn't do that OR this seems logical crack me up.

I cannot wait for endgame reveal to see what everyone thinks.

...Wow...Lamont_Cranston called me the junior of the Gelus account. I think I should mod kill him. (JUSTKIDDING!!)
At Lamont: Couldn't save myself that game. Too big a hole, and my understanding of the design was weak since I read the first ten pages and skipped to where I entered. Bad? Yes. But as I noted the flow of game, I realized reading was a huge waste of time since I couldn't save the position.

As this day comes to an end, I have to say a few things about the play:
Tajo, brilliant fake claim. I highly doubt it will save you from death, but you really did the best with the resources you had available. I feel sorry for you in that your position lost a dramatic amount of power.

Xyl's influence over the town is stronger than ZEE's, but it looks like it is weakening by the end of this day. I think it would be because the star effect (or replacement effect? A mix of the two?) is starting to wear thin. So long as he has Llama though, could remain strong.

Lamont's speculation about Tajo's message is hilarious. Honeslty, it is probably a time waster, I don't know, but Tajo has definitely done a huge favor to scum with this time waster.

Sidoh (Starbuck) is hilarious. She isn't even hiding the fact that she wishes to lynch anyone. Like a lyncher of sorts, yes.

Optimal play for the night:

Grr... tough question. Misa should go for the Death Note Juggle, but that may not occur to her. She may have Rem give the DN to DeathNote OR, much more likely, Demigawa. This would backfire the moment Mello, that is, Lamont, dies. Stephoscope *not* dying is too tough, so Misa or Llama OR both will kill L tonight. If not, Llama is found out and their's an end game for Llama. If that is their worry, a Death Note juggle is out of favor, but then Misa, the most powerful scum in the game, is in zugzwang. She could trust mykonian with the notebook should Rem die, but this isn't too hot an idea. Far from impossible. Wonder if there will be delayed kills. No, not on L anyway.

Gah! I can't wait to see how the active players will think their way out of this one.

Night 3
At this point, it is clear that my concerns of the investigators being too powerful comes to light. However, the real issue is Misa's devestating blunder of killing Light. If still alive, the scum team would probably be winning in the next four phases, but that's just my opinion. Can't be proved or disproved.

WOW! This is so exciting. Misa could win the game for the Kiras, but if no action tonight....gah, this is too early to call. Depends on play...

Well, we'll look at this later.
Rem has brilliantly placed pressure on both L and WeyounsLastClone (Watari) by turning their conversation (of mixed company) as an offense to strike at their emotions and perhaps deliver a greater impact from her opinions than first given. However, the actual impact has yet to be noted.

Ryuk is absent. He may require replacement or more prodding. (Note to self)

Xyl has dropped a claim to Aizawa, as Misa, that she is Starbuck in a fashion designed too look like an accident. It was actually quite notable and definitely worth doing as an attempt to derail the town's play for the next day. Unwittingly, she might reveal Sidoh, but that would work to her advantage since Sidoh is a fine misvig or mislynch. Though, Sidoh's claim may give Starbuck more, not less, voice in finding scum, as all she wishes is to have a death note by any means necessary.

...um...wow... the night actions went rather well. L is alive, which surprised the Misa group. Misa has dodged a bullet though. Rem has been caught by L, however, this is really irrelevant when L will most certainly die soon. And L's death no longer assists the anti-kira faction as only Mello would enter the group. As always, Lamont is in a sticky situation. I am most interested in whether Misa will retrieve the note book that Demegawa has or if the town will successfully lynch scum under Kmd's investigation.

Hm...

Day 4:
As expected, Kmd is attacking MBL. Hm.. Lamont is getting a nice attack by Xyl (misa). I wonder how the day will roll from here. Hm... so many 1-1s. Some of which are caused by misunderstanding. Seems the only free scum at the moment is DeathNote, and the way he can win is by getting Misa's Death Note. Interestingly enough, if Misa starts off the night by giving away her Death Note instantly, there will be a 0% chance she is Kira, which would be the best move for her in terms of having Rem win. (Rem's loss her is my number one heart-ache...)

However, Rem could win the game for herself by killing L and Mello and giving the Death Note to Deathnote, Teru Mikami. Misa doesn't have a strong strategy to avoid lynch or to win, but her fake claim could have actually saved her:

She claimed her safe claim, which I would like to note her (if written by one of the mods) would be:
You are Lind L. Taylor. If ou are investigated, you will show up as if you were L.

Xylthixlm proceeded to ask me a question that really required some thought to answer. I wanted to give an answer that could conclude what Xyl needed, but I couldn't spoon feed her the answer. She asked (also, Xyl=misa, which is why I refer to her as female):
If, hypothetically, my role was Lind L. Taylor and my ability was "You show up to investigations as if you were L" or similar... and I was investigated by a role which could detect if someone could night talk... what result would they get?

Let's suppose that our night chat cop does exist as this is the only way it would be relevant. Well, I can state right now (post game) that the answer is:
They would know/think you have a night chat capability.

However, I cannot say this for one important reason: It tells Xylthixlm with absolute certainty that L's role has a night chat line. Even though Xylthixlm can infer that, Misa doesn't have solid, mod confirmation. So, I had to think of another way to answer this. I cannot say they will or wouldn't, but gave a cryptic response:

If a role does not have a chat that is active during the night phase, the role would not be counted as having spoken at night. However, this would only be relevant is a role which could investigate night talk activity exists in your hypothetical game.

I never state what the hypothetical cop would get, if the hypothetical cop exists, or anything to that nature. I was saying "If a role does not have a night chat, the role would not be counted as having spoken at night" but excluded giving a direct answer. Xylthixlm later complained of every role being in the game with obvious alignment, but to be honest, I couldn't believe some of the people who did get lynched from their fake claims. In fact, Demegawa would have been awesome to claim David Hoope because his actual role ability would have pointed at that truth. (President David Hoope makes perfect sense as a magistrate.)

Anyway, the whole ordeal lead me to a great deal of thought, and since he did have a point, I reviewed that part of the game, and decided to send another PM relating to the question which said:
After looking at the game, as you requested, I decided to inform you of a misunderstanding:
My response to your "stupid question" does not give you an answer to the specifics of your hypothetical.

I think this clarification is justly due because of poor wording on my part.

Sadly, it failed to inform misa (Xyl), so I have decided to let it go. *Shrugs* She can't win, but she can screw town, which is always a victory in my book!
*Kill L, and pass deathnote to Mikami! That would be excellent!

Huh, looks like Xyl used it. And Lamont thinks it gives me a "bad name." Hm... well, the issue here is that if I answered Xyl's original question "yes," then the fact that L had a quicktopic becomes instantly known. I never stated my original answer had anything to do with Xyl's hypothetical role, but suggested that a detective who can see night chats may or may not exist. I suppose Xyl's misstep in logic could be attributed to seeing a statement that had no strings next to one that did, but he could have checked up. (I know that I, personally, would have asked about the answer's lack of specifics on the Lind L. Taylor role, but whatever.)

It is also possible to have responded "He would get whatever would be true for the role of L, but this was self apparent in his initial phrasing, so I didn't see the need for it. I do suppose people just want affirmation of what they already know? Not sure. However, he's been able to brilliantly twist this to his favor, which has been surprisingly effective. And though Misa wouldn't think of it, she could give deathnote a strong chance at winning by passing the deathnote. For the pro-kira side, the winning move is:
Lynch Misa, Rem sac=-1 DN
Misa kills L and passes the DN to Mikami.
Lynch Misa
Mikami kills Mello (Lamont)

HOWEVER!!
It would lead to:
Day Vig Misa
Lynch ???
If alive, Mikami kill Mello.

In a mass claim, Mikami would win by SECONDS. It would lead to:
Day Vig: misa
Lynch: DN !!!
DN Effect: Kill target? LAMONT!

Which would be a spectacular scum victory.

Ironically, Misa would have to lose for this ploy to work. Which means she *decides* who wins without any incentive to decide in either sides favor. I suppose town would win because it is easier...

The xyl question popped up again, and so I just parrotted back the role...and that's what he wanted... You know, on on hand, I really see his point, and on the other, it makes my head explode. *Sighs* I'll just chalk this up to a misunderstanding or something. I'm really not sure.

Anyway, I wonder how things will play out from here. Should be most interesting.

Hm... after all that excitement, it appears that Rem was the lynch afterall. This is a poor situation for town at the moment:
1/7 shot Sidoh wins. (Helps town!)
1/7 shot Mikami gains the Death Note and becomes Kira.
2/7 shot Rem recovers the Death Note (Misa/Rem)
3/7 shot Town destroys the Death Note.

Night 4 Commentary

AMAZINGLY, Mikami gains the death note. The perfect game from here:
Mikami kills Kmd (probably worried about second guessing Misa, so it's easier to eliminate an immediate threat and assume Misa will attack L for outing Rem)
Misa: Kills Lamont because the failed attempt on L is bizarre. Plus, she knows he is the day killer, which is too powerful to let him exist.
Everything else is irrelevant!
Mikami: GET LYNCHED!! Choose to venge kill L and...
GAME!
Mikami is Kira, so unless he is night kill, his venge kill (with Mello or L dead) enables him to win one second prior to the activation of the lynch itself!
Hell, it would even be in Mikami's favor to be investigated and found guilty *if* he successfully kills L or Mello tonight. Hm.. I suppose that better play is to just kill L, but that's just from an omnipresent point of view.

You win when all Death Notes have been removed from the game.

Killed:
Kmd4390 HEART ATTACK
Lamont_Cranston HEART ATTACK

Lamont_Cranston had mentally outwit Kmd4390 in gaining information. He bit into his chocolate bar and continued to give little information on the case where as the other had kind of babbled endlessly about his work. However, Lamont_Crantston, [/color]
Mello
, was surprised when Kmd4390,
Hirokazu Ukita
, suddenly died of a heart attack. Unnerved, Mello stood and walked briskly out of the little café. He knew he couldn’t risk being caught with a dead body, not when he was so close to finishing what Near couldn’t but “My…arm…” Mello collapsed in the street. Quietly, he passed away in a painful manner.

Kmd4390,
Hirokazu Ukita
,has died of a heart attack, N4
Lamont_Cranston,
Mello
, has died of a heart attack, N4

Day 5: ...mrr....I can't believe how swimmingly the day went... Misa has an excellent chance at winning given this play (if only her plans could be fruitful and not fail as they are obviously -to me- destined). First, the DeathNote wagon should have ended with a self hammer (if possible) because the super mega ultra awesome Teru last second win (by venge killing L) would have been the best ending ever instead...

Night 5 analysis:
Xyl plans on killing L and thinks that DN will kill Gorrad. Unfortunately, Xyl hasn't realized that DN is Kira now and with his win condition fulfilled, the winners circle will not include Misa Misa. Llamafluff though..he utterly wins. Done his job brilliantly, really.

DeathNote's play has been...well...aside from his first deletion, he has played ideally. He was a little obvious to be scum, but at the later points when it took notice, it was ideal play. Just..too good? Or maybe Starbuck did look like a super bluff. I have no idea. The end of subject is that Teru Mikami wins unless Sidoh decides to help L and then it lands on protect. (However, if Mikami and Xyl both kill L, the point is moot.)

WOULD BE Night 5 actions (irrelevant as Xyl didn't kill deathnote and no one protected stephoscope):
(Would be) Night 5 Actions
zwetschenwasser – Naomi Misora tracks Xyl to himself. No result would be sent.
Kairyuu – Stephen Gevanni checks deathnote for a topic. Despite the fact deathnote had a topic, the result would be negative because he no longer has one that is usuable.
mykonian – Ryuk shinvestigates stephoscope
Gorrad - Kanzo Mogi ----
Knight of Cydonia – Shuichi Aizawa ----
Starbuck –Sidoh shinvestigates Llamafluff
DeathNote - Teru Mikami DELETES Stephoscope (L). If DeathNote doesn’t die, he wins!! (#)
Stephoscope – L investigates Starbuck and invites zwetschenwasser.
xylthixlm – Misa Amane shinvestigates mykonian and kills zwetchenwasser
LlamaFluff – Rem shinvestigates kairyuu

NO RESULTS ARE SENT!!

Gorrad wrote:
Kise wrote:Zaz... do you believe that all killers in this gave are anti-town?

On Night 2, you gain the ability to track one person each night. You will then be able to find out if this player is conversing with anyone. There is a 10% chance that you will be detected, and while your tracking will be completed, your identity will become known to the person you are tracking.

You win when all Death Notes have been removed from the game.
Misa checks for Light in Kairyuu...but Kairyuu is not Light. She shinvestigates ThAdmiral and gets:

With 16 alive, it takes 9 lynch.

Quietly, he passed away in a painful manner.

Gorrad wrote:
Kise wrote:Zaz... do you believe that all killers in this gave are anti-town?

@Gorrad - Why did you want a flavor claim?
I said. When I made the Death Note mini, I was VERY hard pressed to find protown roles. There aren't a lot of them. So I'm assuming that Phate had the same issue.
MOD KILL FOR STUPDITY!

Near
, one of those leading the investigation against Kira. What a tragedy!

Votes have been reset. With X alive, it will be Y to lynch. Carry on.

What you actually need to do:

PM Kmd4390: There is a 40% chance that ThAdmiral is allied with Kira.

PM LlamaFluff: [quote="Skruffs' Role PM]You are Shuichi Aizawa. You desperately want to do the right thing, but you're not quite sure who to trust.

You may converse with Light Yagami and Misa Amane at night, but only at the following locations, respectively: [link] and [link].

You win if Kira is alive at the end of the game.
PM zwetschenwasser: You have heen recruited into the SPK. You may now communicate with other SPK members at [link] during the night. Your role and win condition do not change.

You turn to Kairyuu...and... a life span. Kairyuu is not Light Yagami.

You know that David Hoope is not in the game.

Once per game, you may stop one lynch from occurring. To do this, PM me to stop the lynch from occurring during twilight. If you do, your role will be revealed and the lynch will not occur.

You win if Kira is alive at the end of the game.
Sidoh shinvestigates Vi and receives:
Vi's Role PM wrote: You are

Trackers
Naomi Misora tracks Stephoscope. Receives:

Stephoscope targets Llamafluff. Stephoscope targets WeyounsLastClone.

Gevanni tracks L_C. Receives:

Lamont_Cranston is not speaking to anyone during the night.

Invites
Stephoscope invites Llamafluff to his group.

Investigations
Stephoscope re-receives WLC's PM

As the town awakens to the rising, Magnus_Orion falls out of the window of the Yotsuba building, and now, his broken body is lying on the floor.
Hyosuke Higuchi
has died of a heart attack.

Also, ThAdmiral has disappeared. Based on head count, it appears that he is
Soichiro Yagami
.

With 16 alive, it takes 9 lynch.

Light Yagami
has been gunned down day 3.

Night 4 Actions
zwetschenwasser – Naomi Misora
Kairyuu – Stephen Gevanni
mykonian – Ryuk shinvestigates Gorrad
Kmd4390 – Hirokazu Ukita DELETED! *Results are irrelevant.* Would investigate: Knight of Cydonia, 40%
Gorrad - Kanzo Mogi ----
Knight of Cydonia – Shuichi Aizawa
Starbuck –Sidoh shinvestigates Kairyuu and helps (protects) Gorrad
DeathNote - Teru Mikami DELETES Kmd4390 (Ukita)
Stephoscope – L investigates Lamont_Cranston; Invites Starbuck (Sidoh)
xylthixlm – Misa Amane shinvestigates stephoscope and kills Lamont_Cranston
LlamaFluff – Rem shinvestigates zwetchenwasser
Lamont_Cranston – Mello ------

mykonian gets:

Once per game during the day, you may choose a player to investigate. You will receive a likelihood that they are allied with Kira.

You win when all Death Notes have been removed from the game. PM

Kmd4390 gets nothing (dead).

Stephoscope gets:
”Lamont_Cranston’s Role PM” wrote: You are

. You are one of L's successors, and you share his fondness for sweets. Unlike L, however, you tend to be motivated by emotions and make spur-of-the-moment decisions.

During the day, you may kill one player by PMing me the name of the person you would like to kill.

If L dies, you will receive a link in which you may communicate with Near, Watari, and Aiber.

If you obtain a Death Note, you will automatically destroy it.

You win when all Death Notes are removed from the game.
Send me a confirmation PM that includes your rolename
Xylthixlm gets:

At night, you may recruit one player. This doesn't affect their role or alignment, but they will receive access to the above link. Your identity will be revealed to them.

In addition, at night, you may investigate one person with access to the above link (you may not recruit a player and investigate them on the same night). You will receive a copy of their role PM.

If you obtain a Death Note, you will automatically destroy it.

You win when all Death Notes have been removed from the game.
Llamafluff gets:
”zwetchenwasser’s Role PM” wrote:

Starbuck gets:

On Night 2, you gain the ability to track one person each night. You will then be able to find out if this player is conversing with anyone. There is a 10% chance that you will be detected, and while your tracking will be completed, your identity will become known to the person you are tracking.

You win when all Death Notes have been removed from the game.

Grrrrrrrr.

Apparently, the pro-Kira players changed win condition when they got a Death Note, in a way that wasn't written into their original role PM.

I call shenanigans.

I just spent like 20 mins trying to work out the setup. Pretty damn complicated for a mafia game, but props for the setup design.

I didn't read the whole thing, mainly the section after I was replaced and then had a brief look in from time to time. MafiaSSK's claim was a bit silly I must say. First of all our role wasn't even a miller. Miller = investigates guilty, this role = random investigation result. Furthermore you actually find out not only when someone investigates you but what result they get. So optimal play I determined was just to wait until you get investigated (well better still would have been not to get investigated at all which was what I was aiming for) and as soon as you get notification, you can just claim e.g. "I know someone investigated me last night and got so and so result" (if the result is actually scummy) thereby avoiding outing the cop and hopefully avoiding getting lynched, because that's a strange ability for scum to have.

I didn't think I was too bad in this game when I was in it. I was wrong about tajo and MrBuddyLee being town, props to them, but I was right about mykonian (even though I stupidly unvoted on the balance of probabilities before he was lynched) and Vi being scum.

What were PhilyEc and Benmage's roles btw? Contacting people outside the thread is very poor, btw.

I will also add that I think mykonian had a pretty difficult win condition and it seems strange that an SK (Xyl) can lose due to another faction achieving their non-mutually exclusive win condition.

Wonder when she'll be revealed...
Now, it wasn't stated if I could make my target as their forum name or their character name. Had I known that, I would have easily just used the character name. I thought I would have to find Light first then target him.

My win condition was pretty much impossible.

I'd like to give major props to Light-kun for taking over and modding when I could no longer contribute on a regular basis. He also was an invaluable aid when brainstorming for the setup. That said, I retained full creative control for every aspect of setup design. He had a lot of good ideas which made it in, which I won't list because there were a lot of them and I don't remember them all, but address all "OMGZ0RZ SHITTY SETUP" to me.

Xylthixlm, the Kira win condition was "kill L, Mello, and Near". This never changed. They just weren't aware of their win condition unless they were holding a Death Note. Light's was slightly different in that he also had to survive. You turned into a serial killer when Light died, and you would have known it if you had read your win condition more carefully. The two conditions that end the game were the death of L, Mello, and Near, or the destruction of all Death Notes.

The PM sent when a pro-Kira player received a DN was just "You have received a Death Note. [Rules of Death] You win when L, Mello, and Near are all dead."
I will fuck up your name and gender. Deal with it.

PM me to replace into Infection Mafia, a semi-open Mini Theme.

I did read my role PM quite carefully.
You win if you find Light and he is still alive when L, Mello, and Near are no longer in the game, or
if you are the last player alive
.
My win condition wasn't even worded "at the end of the game..." I was endgamed while it was still possible to meet my win condition. I find this extremely unfair.

Xylthixlm, you assumed falsely that there were no 'game over' triggers. I'm not sure why. It's pretty apparent that even though your win condition and the town's win condition are not mutually exclusive, if all Death Notes were destroyed, town wins and the game ends. The pro-Kira role PMs had a similar win condition - I don't think it's unreasonable to at least consider the possibility that the pro-Kira condition similarly ends the game.

Edit: In fact, Light-kun informs me that you didn't even ask.
