Devourer/Runeglaive, Hurricane, Nashor's, Rylai's and whatever item you feel if the game gets this long.

Most important thing is to not listen to the people that tell you to build attack speed (other than nashors obv)

Basically just go Devourer into Sorc boots/Nashors/Rylais/Rabadons/Void Staff.

With Devourer, she deals 100% of her AP every other auto.

So you basically wanna stack a crap load of ap and just walk up to anyone and destroy them.

Actually CD boots are better cuz CD boots + nashors + mastery maxes out CD reduction.

I think I saw somewhere that runeglaive kayle has like a 6% higher winrate than devourer

I'm trying to remember where

The more I play adc, the more I hate the role and want to go back to being a mid main. At this point the only thing keeping me from dropping the it is that mid is impossible to get consistently, and I don't enjoy jungle/support enough to be willing to spam them in ranked. Oh well, at least Vayne is fun. Maybe one day the ADCs I enjoy playing won't be terrible in soloqueue.

playing ADC can be kind of frustrating. Get fed... spend the next 20+ minutes trying not to die.

Which ADCs do you like, Gendaberry?

First bot game with chamber and friends, played Viktor and I really don't mind him. He seems like someone I wouldn't mind spending the time to get better if I knew how to last hit minions...at all. ARAM came next and that was kinda...eh. Playing Quinn and not really liking her short ranged auto attack... Ehh, not really my champion. Played Tahm Kench, sorta getting there after messing up his ult twice, W for minions is great, can't land Qs and E is nice. Built full tanky and yeah. We lost both ARAM games but eh... Did another bot game and really wanting to lane, I decided to play Darrius and oh boy I think I can get used to this champion too.

I feel pretty eh in general actually but still kinda enjoying it!

Kog/Twitch/Lucian/Vayne mostly.

I really hate playing Kog and Twitch with random supports, and despite my good Lucian winrate the champ isn't very good considering the amount of effort you have to put into playing him for pretty low rewards.

Vayne is good and fun though. However, she's the most popular adc in my tier by a decent amount which means she isn't open as often as I'd like, and I can't stand playing against her when I don't get her.

Lucian's range is as low as jayce's. There is something very wrong with that.

I like both playing and playing against vayne.

First time as support in awhile, especially Soraka.

My question is, what else could I/should I have built? I don't think Ardent was the right last buy, but I couldn't think of anything else other than something like Luden's or rylai's.

Also, I feel like I really need an overhaul of my masteries (well, and my runes but that can wait until I have the IP for them). Right now I just want to be sure that basic ADC/APC/support/tank/jungle masteries are correct and then go from there.

(and at some point in the future I need to ask for specific item sets and such to pull from for specific laners, but maybe another day.)

Why not just refer to champion.gg to get a baseline answer to your question, and the fiddle with the composition from there?

You could've went for the new Zeke's instead of Ardent. I probably would've also went for Warmog's instead of FH. Warmog's is really good on Soraka, it lets her spam her heal more due to the insane regen, while also adding to her survivability which is nice given that teams should be trying to focus her down in fights.

Voided, a mikael's would have gone great.

I also see sorakas building Warmogs but I can't attest to the viability of that, but mikaels is definitely a higher priority than say, frozen heart (they only had one real autoattack threat in jinx, and she wasn't even fully fed) Mikaels could have cleansed a Teemo blind or shen taunt.

That being said, I think Ardent was an okay buy considering your teamcomp- all of them are heavy autoattackers. It's stronger earlier in the game now, with the bonus magic damage on hit being unimportant late.

If you have been interested in a more defensive item, you could have bipassed the ardent and gone for a banshee's veil- Helps against teemo shrooms, ezreal poke. etc.

pedit-

Eh, I still think Mikaels

Crucible doesnt remove blinds. Also, nobody on your team went Righteous Glory, and considering your team was super dive heavy that probably also would've been a good pickup.

Meh, maybe notsomuch then.

I still say frozen wasn't a great build and ardent is better built earlier.

FH wasn't awful because both Teemo and Diana still autoattack a decent amount with the builds that they went, but still Udyr picked it up before Soraka did making the item pretty pointless anyways. I agree with going Ardent Censor earlier if you're going to get it at all. I don't see the item much, but I'd imagine that it's a lot more useful early on and not as good as a last item.

Consider Righteous Glory core on 99% on your supports. It's just too good to leave behind. Combined with Talisman it's actually pretty crazy

Talisman is amazing and I've been taking it on most of my supports. Sure there's more gold to be found elsewhere, but Talisman seems above and beyond either of the other two third tier items.

@Genda: I am an adc main as well and I think a lot of your difficulties with the role are being caused by your champion selection. The ability to carry with an adc in solo queue is entirely dependent on your ability to stay alive and dish out the damage. You need to be directing the tanks on what you want them to do. And if you need your support to build a crucible, you need to be forceful on that early with them.

Now to champions. When I play solo queue, if I am an early pick. I always go an adc with an inbuilt escape. I end up playing a lot of Cait and a lot of Ezreal. They aren't the strongest adcs but you can duel with them and most importantly kite with them. Trist is ok too, and vayne is ok provided you are very good with her. The next step is to not go hunting kills. Focus on your cs first and foremost. If you can farm really well, then you don't need kills. That doesn't mean ignore your lane partner setting up opportunities, but it does mean not taking risky engages.

Lastly, learn the limits of the adcs you play. Like I know that as cait, if I am playing very well and have good reaction times, I can pretty much always duel a fizz 1 on 1. Doesn't mean I do, but if I am ahead and we need a pick, I'll see if I can get a good position to do it in the mid to late game.

tl;dr Direct the tanks, play something with an escape from early pick, concentrate on cs over kills early, learn the limits of the champs you are playing.

Also don't be scared to take cleanse in to some lanes, especially if you have an escape.

OMG. TEEMO CAN THROW SHROOMS AT YOU NOW. Well on PBE.

Edit: For those that haven't seen, the range has been increased at all levels and scales so it's now 300/600/900 and if his shroom would land on a shroom already placed it will bounce 3/4/5 Teemos before dropping. So say hello to shroom skipping when sieging.
