Based on the limited information me and Vi had about the scum faction, we had no idea that there were additional members of our team, or at least, that the other pro-kira people from the show had the same win-con as ours, so I had pretty much given up on this game completely when both me and vi died in quick succession. To actually come back to a win is quite surprising. :D
This, except for all the stuff about winning. >_>

The idea behind the setup was cool, but I don't think it was practical to pit scum against its own allies by taking away their inside knowledge.

I also nomed Xyl for best performance in a losing cause and best replacement.

Someone should go second those

The scum were totally obvious if you knew what to look for... scum who don't know who their allies are get paralyzed, they're afraid to scumhunt because they might hit an ally.

The setup was interesting but I think it was marred by some flaws... uninformed scum is very hard to do well, the win conditions were royally screwed up, and then there's the classic blunder of putting every major character and most of the secondary ones into the setup. There was also way too much reliance on certain key roles, which tends to make the setup extremely swingy.

Me and m_o didn't have a problem with that; we thought we were the only ones in the first place and that there was a rival group out there.
So my plan was to scumhunt anyway and snipe Death Note holders at Night. So much for that.

I had ThAdmiral pegged as a M. Traitor for blatantly agreeing with me D2; it's the first time that's happened in a long time :(

Well, actually, Jebus didn't even tell me anything n1. I guess aizawa being his QT partner spooked him, and he decided not to tell me anything. So I was flying blind til Vi showed up, which I thank god happened because I was really worried about hitting a teammate until then. Afterwords, its as Vi says.

I loved this game so much I even watched from after I was replaced. It was pretty suspenseful on the last two days and it was exciting having the QTs still so I could see some of the things behind the scenes such as the "Starbuck Slip". I think that the town had most of the alignments figured out at the end (Lamont's lists were pretty accurate), but the scum definitely had the advantage due to thei win conditions and the amount of Shinigami. ZazieR had me figured out pretty early due to meta which was unfortunate, and I learned that I play better by only playing one game at a time. Thanks for modding, Gelus!

Oh yes. The trick in the quicktopic with aizawa was inspired by a player in a quicktopic in another game, who accidentally posted using the account for one of his alts and then tried to delete it... such a pity that Knight of Cydonia backed off so fast when Starbuck denied it.

That was really enjoyable and I doubt I would have used that QT for anything other than roleplaying.
Well played on your part, Xylthixlm.

Mod Notes: Receives 7% on investigators, 40% on other protown players, 90% on Shinigami, 100% on pro-Kira townies, 100% on those allied with Kira, and 100% on Light Yagami.

Hmm. Wish I'd seen 40% as a town result rather than a reason to suspect ThAd...

I had fun. Hard to keep up with because there were so many pages of discussion that was going nowhere. I also had a feeling MO was the daykiller based on his belief of a dayvig. I thought it was setting up for a fakeclaim, but, lo & behold, it was a pro-town role (Lamont).

Congrats to deathnote (and Llama?).
They have escaped into the mansion where they thought it was safe.

Yet…

Reading 100 pages and then being killed was harsh, but I thought the game was awesome. I only wish I stayed around a bit longer to enjoy it!

Yeah.. from my perspective the best thing I could do was lay low and survive, hoping that a Shinigami would pass me a note eventually. Sadly, I got a note the night I got investigated, and was vigged before I could nullify my own lynch and pretend to be an unlynchable townie. To pull that off, I had to claim my actual role, Demegawa, because the rolename (but not alignment) would be revealed upon my escape from lynch.

Fun game, thanks, Gelus.

MBL, I feel like you lurking hard here was in terrible contrast to your play in WoT, hence why I felt you scum here. Than it looked like you tried to lay low in WoT too, and I was guessing it was to take heat off from this game. Am I anywhere close in this assessment?
