No, we are talking about if it is worth it to kill ceph while he is still human, to let manatee start desharding people since she is already a demon.
Turning ceph would take too long, and just lose us the game.
would it? assume we are at 6 now.
have unwnd shard me (positive side effect of proving unwnd's role).
can scum win that night?
maybe that doesnt work idk. im not really excited about betting the game BOTH that manatee is town and that we're setup speccing correctly

I think it's ridiculous to rely on the assumption that Manatee's backup is for the desharder
If we want to lim CephTD regardless then I guess that would be a bonus but I do not subscribe to limming them just based on the hope that the backup is a desharder
Also I'm posting too much without having caught up so maybe you should all ignore me

Oh. Fucking derp.
No. We need to elim scum using ffery's plan. That locks out their conversion and hopefully kills somebody.
I was thinking that if we were to do this, we might want to think about killing the dragons with ffery's plan, to kill off 2 people who are still human.
But. This is new info, and I want to think on it more

If we miss on the corrupter today, then the scum team can corrupt 1 person and then turn them + the fishes. So 6->8 or worse, 7-> 9 x.x
So, I think either way we decide to do this, either killing whoever we think is the corrupter or killing the dragons, I think we should always use the fishes to do so ?

I feel like I'm jumping up and down waving my arms and no one understands.
Guh.

I think we should aim for the corrupter, personally.

this looks true, i think?

Sorry Rhea.
I know you're talking about order of operations, but I'm not groking how that helps us :/

If we are at seven or more demons the non-corruptor scum could hammer ffery/Bell and corruptor can win next Night.
Don't know how likely it is we're at seven though
I'd still probably rather just outright try to hit the corruptor instead of trying to get fancy
Luckily I have provided a phenomenal case for why I believe AA9 to be the corruptor which is getting overlooked by some folks

EXPLICITLY MECHANICALLY, the corrupter is in this list of names, if it's able to act while human:

Like, I get the case is reasonable. I do. I just REALLY cannot reconcile this with the knowledge that it would mean scum-AA9 somehow managed to convincingly be so confused about the game state while knowing pooky's plan all along, that she could post a three-scum team guess today.

Then we can rule manatee lass out due to Rhea's night result, I think? Depending on the exact timing.

although i suspect your analysis here is right, i do think there are some assumptions you're making to where "explicitly mechanically" might be a stretch

It's something I checked for my role, so I'll just say it.
Demonification occurs at the start of the next phase, checking for shards gained in the phase before. So if you gain shards night 2, you don't become a demon until Day 3.
Which means.... if the desharder works as I expect, it would activate the same timing as giving shards, and nullify. If you had 8 demons, a desharder fixed one and a sharder corrupted another, it wouldn't be 9, then 8. It would be 8.
Everyone clear?

Scum are multitasking, as in factional plus individual role, sure. But unless the corrupting thing is a "lol BONUS factional ability not in the role PM" thing, it's got to be in lieu of other actions (as in could be a joat thing) so anyone with proven night actions is cleared from corrupter status.

Got it. That gives a little wiggle room but i'm still loathe to act and get fancy on it instead of trying to solve the corrupter with ffery's "lol nah to us becoming demon bruv" plan.

I literally welcome you to point those out, I don't want to let anything slip OUT of the pool.

The void filled by Medea paranoia has been filled. This is my roundabout way of saying no, I don’t have a case, I just feel like now is the time to be like tenet Brian.

I feel like it is almost impossible for AA9 to be this uninformed at this point especially when it was made pretty clear to her D1 that she was already misunderstanding the setup. To the point where I feel it is likely she is faking her lack of setup knowledge to get out of the hot seat.

I kind of really like the manatee plan. It feels like we are in Elo, but there are just too many people alive. Normally at Elo, even a random shot is 50%. But we are at Elo with 2 scum in 11. Shooting for scum feels really bad to me, and I think I would much prefer the game state with some flips. Even town flips. Have so few flips makes it hard for me to feel confident in much of anything.
That feels like the only path towards getting this game to a state where I feel like I can get a handle on it.
