These last few days have been especially tough on the old bird.

They framed him well. He's gotta the credit where it's due. No one would think to cross check the evidence from two seemingly isolated incidents, or draw the dots together. His gun was the only one that had a bullet fired that was unaccounted for, and naturally, his only alibi was conveniently Jenny Otter, his romantic interest at the time. Now, the criminals were going to unleash the caffeine in the streets like no one has ever seen before.

"Get up, Penguin." The jailer's harsh office rang out in the cell. "You've got a visitor."

Penguin blinked three times in confusion. No one would know he was here.... unless...?

It was his old partner and girlfriend, Sarah Fox.

"Oh, you dumb, stupid, weak, worthless, pathetic piece of avian garbage." Sarah Fox exclaimed. "Look what you've gotten yourself into, you moron."

"Sarah listen-" Penguin desperately started. There wasn't much time. "It wasn't me who shot the-"

"I'm fully aware, you thankless dimwit." Sarah cut him off. "I have the evidence compiled, along with your reconstructed alibi... you should have told me everything before you ditched me."

Penguin looked amazed as jailer released him from his handcuffs and let him go.

"Sarah, I.... I.." Penguin stammered his words. Sarah did not look impressed.

"Look. What happened, happened. I get that you probably had some reason for your crazy venture to fogtown, but we have a job to do." Sarah tossed Penguin his old gun. "We can talk after we catch the bad guys."

Penguin caught the gun. He's going to have a lot of explaining to do.
