Then read most any game we have played together. Weather Mafia is the exception because my pr made me suspect him and even then I couldn't hold on to the read. We teamed up for Team Mafia.

This is just how it is. In recent times we have come to accept we just can't read each other and have stopped fighting it.

This. The alliance was made outside the scope of the game thread, with no knowledge of role/alignment, etc. It's a direct violation of the site rules, which unfortunately I cannot grab because I'm posting from my phone right now.

Kuribo, this has NOTHING to do with this game. If I'm protecting anything, it's general game integrity. When you start agreeing to "team up" and Lynn people you dot like before a game even starts, the game stops being Mafia and starts being about a clique or group of people bullying someone else for their own amusement.

I'm especially pissed and disappointed because I had a good deal of respect for both Amrun and Kuribo, but te fact that I like them doesn't mean I can sit here and watch this continue.

People agreeing on policy lynches happens ALL THE TIME. Like literaly all the fucking time. I've never once seen anyone say this violates any rule EVER. If so, all policy lynches would be against site rules, because they don't happen for things that occur in one game only.

In this game, I chose to give Slandaar the benefit of the doubt and did not open up voting him. I was, however, quite delighted to actually suspect him for awhile.

After I decided kuribo is town, I asked him to have a voting bloc with me. I do acknowledge that I almost always think kuribo is town - but you've seen evidence that it's NOT always.

I've done nothing that breaks the rules, and if talking about a policy lynch candidate is against some obscure rule I don't know, then I've never once seen that rule enforced and that rule is broken so ubiquitously that I didn't know it was a rule.

And I didn't even try to policy lynch him. Lol

I just don't really get it. We, all three of us, talked about disliking Slandaar in the sign up thread. Chesskid entioned policy lynch. Kuribo and slandaar attempted the policy lynch. I asked kruibo to be in a voting bloc due to reads.

I really DON'T understand how this breaks any rules whatsoever.

I don't see any reason why this "out of game" alliance could not have been made in-game.

The flaw in this site rule, at least with respect to "alliances" is that it is easily circumvented. So you shutup in the sign-up thread, but once its open you still start off with

"So I hate X, you hate X too and feel like he is a liability to his alignment? Let's lynch X."

It has always been my belief that that particular site rule was enacted to prevent people from LITERALLY forming alliances and making a pact to "never vote one another regardless until other people are dead."

I have never seen this type of alliance take place. I have seen it attempt to start that way but the nature of the game and paranoia always breaks it apart anyways as players are loyal to their win con above any fabricated "alliance."

I see no evidence of an alliance in this thread. I see players with no alignments talking about their mutual opinions on another player's playstyle. And then, once the thread opened, those players now with alignments using those opinions to further their own win conditions which is in spirit with this game.
