Oh well, as I said I think he's talking pretty freely in the posts I just quoted. He seems scummy because he has done mostly nothing and has been hypocritical, but most likely he's just lynchbait

See that's where it gets interesting. A 1v1 battle would bring a good deal of honor and my name would grow a nominal amount. Depending on the target of course.
Battling 2 others however help achieve things faster because of the added danger involved for facing 2 instead of 1.
