fff the frog. Big's gifts were items from the trading sequence, it's so obvious.

I'm sad that you retracted the mason QT. I was hoping it would be an interesting read D:

Tee hee.

BTW, what did everyone think about the unique mechanics of the scumteams? IE, Poe scum get action multipliers, and Boss scum each get a unique way to perform the factional kill.

Nothing there. ^^

You were right that I was playing this game through the QT though. I hardly kept up with the game... since my other hydra head had no time to play the game.

Feelings had nothing to do with it.

It was scummy from a debating standpoint.

Also, we openly admit that we fudged a bit of the flavor in order to balance the game a bit more. But we tried our best to stay true to the game while also creating a fun setup.

3 masons, one PGO, one action-immunizer and one busdriver, confirmed to each other.
Something had to be done to weaken then.

The idea was that if a mason was driven up to lynch range he'd die automatically because the three of them becoming confirmed town was very very crippling to the scum (see, Poe scum never touched them because they thought the three were PGOs... seriously, 3 PGO and a reflexive CPR doc in one setup???)

Of course, if the mason decide to claim early and the scum goes all paranoid this kinda stuff was bound to happen eventually.

Also, you used the OoT at the worst possible time, so that didnt really help either (granted, you didnt know that).

ninja'ed, a lot.

Lots of things came into play to make the town lose on a twist.

I kind of wish I knew about being able to lynch the mod in this game...

I didn't realize one could do that... :X

The main change I would have done in retrospect was being around the night DGB killed Beef via Ythan and suggesting that we should focus on linking instead. It could have been a bigger bloodbath D:.

@Diddin: It didn't matter that we let DTM slide the last few days.

Our plan at least was to weed out the obv scum first, and let process of elimination yield scum.

I mean, D5 (or 6), we had 10 players, with 3 confirmed town (LLD, zwet and myself). You had 1 town out of the sages (AKR/mothrax). That left one town out of vezok, ythan, ABR, DTM and DGB.

So really, we couldn't go wrong at that point...

Deku Tree has the most convoluted role PM. I still don't get exactly what it does.

I have to thank Reckamonic for creating a game of epic complexity, and devotedly modding it to completion. Great team work, kids.

It was great fun for the players - the randomness and shifts and surprised were unpredictable, but quite a hoot. It was beyond the "trying to figure it out" range, so everyone was forced to wing it in a bizarro universe.

The Gandondorf role was fine for balancing the Masons IMO, but the Auto-hammer at 3 person endgame is more than a LITTLE bastardly.

But I suppose that's the name of the game...

P-Edit:
That QT was my personal hell for (was it 4 months?).

Let me re-state that. This game was my personal hell for 4 months.

I looked back at how I played the game in the early going. I'd of lynched my ass too. Reading my posts... holy shit. @_@

I'm going to have to apologize :S

lol. We trusted nika's original read on you being scum.

AAA CONFIRMATION BIASSSSSSSS

But in all honesty, there was a 60-page span in the game that both heads completely skipped.

Once you claimed though, I understood why you played the way you played.

Honestly, it took until after Day 4 for the town to actually lynch scum, so it's not like it was amazing play... I am moderately satisfied that scum won.

Basically, as the game went on, the Great Deku Tree could only target people from a limited range, and that range was centered around who he last addressed in a post before the day's end.
Kats wrote:In retrospect, we COULDVE won... had we realized mods were in the game.........................................
Except that the mods showed up in a votecount on D1.

I think you improved over the course of the game though. Apologies for the frustrations exhibited by both heads though.
