The makeshift garrote around Seraphim was undone and put around orangepenguin. You decide to just search his person for now. All you find is his wallet, which contained $5.93, his drivers license, and his credit card. Not unusual at all.
You hear a small plane take off from about your 2:00 direction. You look, and realize that you only have a few seconds or so to live. It reminds you of that annoying and disturbing noise from city hall.
Tick... tock... tick... tock...
The Mafia could not be eliminated before the powerful explosion put the once peaceful town Puerto Morado to an end. In its place were the blackened remains of the buildings and people that once were. In Puerto Morado, time was the Mafia's friend. JamesBond and Konowa had already left to get a safe distance away from the town shortly before the timer went off. They're still breathing, off to terrorize someplace else.
As for everybody else... well, they tried everything in their power. Only so much can be done when a third of your population is engaged in organized crime, as they've learned the hard way. Perhaps the higher beings they believed in would award them for theirs effort and courage, because it was clear that they had a big challenge in front of them.
Remember the town of Puerto Morado...

I left work due to a stomach bug of some sort (after only half an hour ><), so since I'm here I'll leave a few mod notes and let you ask me questions about the game.
I've actually had Time Bomb Mafia in my head for quite awhile before I had started it and was playing with how exactly to run the game in my head, especially with the times. When initially conceived, I was playing with the starting amount of time while adding or subtracting a week per lynch. When it first went to my reviewers, I had a 21-day timer and a three-day bonus or penalty, then the initial timer was changed to 30 days (by my own decision, not by a suggestion).
I'm curious as to the biggest contributor as to town losing in your opinion. Was it the town? a good Mafia? the setup? me? Why do you think this, and if one of the latter two, what could I have done to make it better?
The other thing I have in mind right now is JamesBond. Though I knew what he was through being the mod, he actually didn't seem scummy to me until the last few days of the game, when he was voting pretty quickly without putting much up to go with it.
I hope the Mafia doesn't mind me linking to their QuickTopic.

Not how I thought that this was going to go down pre-game, but I did not account for llama coming out and dropping a huge clunk of a post like he did. It worked all to our advantage in the end though.
How many people long for that "past, simpler, and better world," I wonder,
without ever recognizing the truth that perhaps it was they who were simpler and better,
and not the world about them?

The lack of participation from some townies really hurt the town. OP and ThAdmiral not being around really put a crimp in things I think. From my standpoint, Konawa really won the game by not hammering OP.

At that point I wanted to get llama lynched first. I figured by derailing it when I did, Friday evening, it would take more than three days for llama to be lynched thus netting us more time lost.

Well, some of my intuitions were correct:
-Seraphim played his town meta;
-OP was town because of OP vs. Santos wagons;
I was definitely wrong about don_johnson, even though everything about him screamed scum.
I agree that ThAdmiral and OP should have participated more. This was the most annoying part, since OP was more or less confirmed in my eyes after Santos flipped scum. ThAdmiral came off as a strong player but being V/LA through most of the game created unnecessary suspicion.
I hammered OP because I wanted to end this teeth-pulling experience. Good game all.

isn't that always the case?artem wrote:I was definitely wrong about don_johnson, even though everything about him screamed scum.
good game scum team. i had my suspicions of jb, but konowa glided nicely under the radar. unfortunately, the lurking townies really hurt us. this was certainly a game where that whole dynamic came into play. TA and OP should have replaced.(no offense but noone was really obvtown here, except kreriov.)
town 39-32

I think both Konowa (well played mate) and I scored major town-points by bussing out two pals the first two rounds.
Me nagging about the time was something I defenitivly would do as town also, because town was playing this way too slow. It would have been an easier win if I hadnt tried to stress things up, but it also would have been not at all as much fun.
Strangercoug, I think the setup was awesome and very fun. I think though that the scum had a too big of an advantage, the timeframe in the endgame was too bloody, and then we bussed out Santos even though I think we didnt need too. I cant say if it is because of players lurking too much, or if the timeframe would have been impossible to beat anyway.
I wanna thank everyone for an awesome game

I got buried by my teammates in the beginning. That helped them look very town, especially Konowa. But that was the plan all along! Great job guys!

Yes, I am a bit surprised that all three were on the llama lynch. Just from the way it went down I thought that even if they were all trying to bus him one would have been left off. My first instinct was that JB and Santos were scum after that lynch. JB was always scummy, just never quite scummy enough to me to push him over Sera and Sabre. I should have just stuck to my guns and only voted for you, Sabre, or OP after the Santos lynch. Yes, all three of you were town, but I really would never have seen Konowa as scum over you three. And being convinced one of you were scum, the trade off is still 2 town for one scum when 2 scum are already dead. Good trade. (Until it would have failed, of course, but still would have been a better tactic.)
