Insiders, huh? Interesting. Does that mean there are Outsiders as well? If there are, we might as well double our scum hunting powers.

The problem with this stance is that it's generally not how mafia work. With cj in particular, who looked so bad, I imagine there would be a fair bit of distancing. If I was scum-partners with him I would have been on his wagon, and I think it would be fair to say there would most likely be scum on his wagon. Furthermore the other scum team (assuming there is one) would also have been happy to jump on his lynch.
If anything looking at the people who did vote for cj is probably going to prove more fruitful.
With that in mind...

Honestly I would be ok with the lynch of any of them, as my impressions of them from day 1 range from bad to nothing. I'll go with lance since I like nexus' suggestion that he was being insincere.

Could someone be a little more specific on what I was supposedly being insincere about? Was it the comment about Forehead7? Look, I didn't care for the guy, but CJ Miller's flip removed him from Mah Fave Five and scooted him over to my Town reads. He was one of the main proponents of lynching CJ, and even though CJ was kind of worthless, I find it hard to believe that Scum would bus one of their own so heavily on day one. Guess I disagree with ThAdmiral on that point. I'll believe that there are two different Scum teams when I see dead bodies from both of them.
Am I disappointed that Forehead7 died? Not really, no. Am I disappointed that a Town read died? Yes I am. That's really the only thing I can think of that could be construed as insincere. I hardly think that's worthy of suspicion, though.

Alright, here they are. I said pidgey was maybe scum because of his early play. Internet Stranger was lurking for most of the game as well as saying he didn't like the CJ wagon which, guess what? Was a Scum lynch. Town reads are because I trust them and Null reads are because 1. I don't trust them, and 2. I haven't played with them yet.
I have a gut feeling that Internet Stranger might be lurking Scum. Any responses?

This is my thought to.
↑ Lance wrote:I need to do some rereading to see who opposed the CJ Miller lynch the strongest. That seems like a good place to start.
Why is that a good place to start? Where do you think his teammates would most likely lie:
1) At the front of his wagon, pushing from the outset?
2) Hopping on when his lynch became inevitable
3) Ignoring the whole situation while pushing other wagons?
4) Actively opposed to it?
I'd say 2 and 3 based on my experience. What do you think?
↑ Yates wrote: ↑ I Am Innocent wrote:Also, if your vote is on CJ, I want to know if you find him scummy or at this point it is a policy lynch?

Why? Because I thought CJ was town and I wanted scum to have to take a stance on whether it was a policy lynch or not?
Now that he has flipped town, why is this anti-WWE. Is it because you think I was defending a scummate?
Also, why did you never change your RVS vote D1? And why didn't you ever vote CJ?

If this is multiball, and CJ only had 2 or 3 likely teammates, I don't know if I see him vote hopping on one of them.
Of people on his wagon, he did vote pappums, Pidgey, and PM, so I okay with leaving those 3 alone for now.
Lance and Elmo are great targets on the wagon.
I am fine with either, but early play D2 points to Lance.

1 and 2 are really the same question and my answer is yes. I like ThAd's idea and consider his tact to be perfectly legitimate. I'm coming at it from the opposite side of the coin, though. I agree that there is likely one bussing scummate *IF* there are 3 scum on his scum team. My only concern is that it is too early to know what we are dealing with here and I don't think "Insiders" are the main scum group. I don't actually know what "Insiders" means per Randy Orton's flip but it certainly LOOKS like we are dealing with multiball and likely a vig kill.
Anyway, that's what I'm thinking so I am approaching it thinking that I can find 1 or 2 scum off the CJ wagon since even in multiball teammates likely don't want to take too many actions together in order to avoid associative tells. By my math, ThAd's pool is 9 and my pool is 7. So I like my odds better.
↑ I Am Innocent wrote:Also, why did you never change your RVS vote D1? And why didn't you ever vote CJ?
These two questions are the same also. I was indifferent about the CJ wagon. He didn't scream scum but certainly didn't do anything to make me think he was Town. I'd still be ok with a DavidX lynch, tbh, but he didn't take an active role in attempting to stop the CJ lynch and you did. That's what ultimately nudges you ahead of him in my scum list early this morning.
Tell me this, what is your response to the question I answered for you at the end of the day yesterday [where you asked if anyone had seen scum claim VT Day 1]?

Being confused about someone else's accusation is scummy? How, exactly? You accuse me of being insincere, I ask where you're coming from, and your only response is "Ha, gotcha, Scum!" Your logic is questionable.
I like the part where you don't answer my question at all.

Hrm. That's a good point. Thanks. I do have to wonder, though: I fall into category #1, but you're voting for me -- why is that?
Looking at the wagon, I'm beginning to suspect PMysterious. He fits category #2 so accurately, it's scary. He had nothing to say about CJ Miller for a good portion of day one, but once it looked like the CJ wagon was gaining momentum, he was totally on-board and suddenly thought that CJ was Scum (ISO him -- Post 394, 409, and 422).
I'm waffling between Nexus and PMysterious. I think PM gets the rub because there's still a chance that Nexus is just misguided Town.

But, that was true. CJ Miller was Scum. That doesn't mean I was scum trying to bus one of my own members. Look at Internet Stranger, he wasn't on the wagon at all. Not to mention that he made the least amount of posts in this game excluding replaced players.

True, Internet Stranger has been kind of worthless so far, but worthless does not necessarily equal Scum. You're not trying to deflect attention elsewhere, are you?

@ lance: I can't speak for nexus but this is why I don't like your post.
1) You spoke way too much about the night kill and the fact that it was a failed lynch. This is a pretty decent tell. For some reason scum are just more likely to talk about the night-kills/yesterday's lynch results.
2) You then go on to say: I'm going to go look at the people who opposed the cj lynch. First of all, iirc, YOU were more or less against the cj lynch. You eventually voted for him but you apparently did this because you felt "damned if you do and damned if you dont" (
407).
This also looks bad to me because it is you advertising how "pro-town" you are planning to be by "actively hunting for scum". I feel if you actually were town you would have just done it.
