It does exist. Not sure if normal. I’d have no objections to that one being normal though. It’s solid.

Out of curiosity, who has final say in creating new Normal roles?

I would love to see this Neighborhood Cop be created soon. Feels perfectly balanced to me.

I feel like a modifier should be made that, when an action successfully targets a play, that player is notified that "something happened." Doesn't reveal what happened, who targeted the player, or how many players targeted the player.

Just adds that teeny tiny bit of information that could maybe be used later. Doesn't reveal alignment at all.

I kinda do want the "neighborhood cop" and the modifier.

Considering the modifier is a weaker version of Loud/Announcing, I think Noticeable is a good name for it.

Would a modifier where you could only target any given player once per game be useful?

personally I like that modifier, I wouldn't know what to call it.

Maybe Overconfident might work, as they're sure their ability worked fine and that they don't need to try again? Though an Overconfident investigative role might be confusing flavor-wise.

Is it also possible to add to the Normal wiki the role/modifier we discussed earlier?

The Neighborhood Cop and the Listening modifier?

Couldn't we have a modifier that only allows you to target people you share a PT with

I could see a "PT doc" being a role

Is it possible that Mafiascum could make a new section where we can play Normal games BUT trial new roles and modifiers to see how they interact, and if they could be whitelisted?

I'd like to see the modifier that's the opposite of Loud enacted.

And I was thinking a "Delayed" modifier would be neat.

Also the Neighborhood Cop should be added like now.

I think it's Reflexive Watcher, though it's not an "opposite" exactly.
"Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? Power? Something worth causing the prince so much pain for?'"
"Well, I..."

By opposite do you mean a role that knows what action it was targeted with but not who did it, or a role like Ninja that can’t be Tracked?

Pretty sure the “can’t target the same person twice” modifier is called Hideous.

can someone link me to a write up of any sort where they've explained how to balance closed setups? Mafia is played casually on my home site and the mods there have a history of making scum sided setups. If I post an example here, you lot won't be able to stop laughing. Thanks in advance!

Maybe make a thread in the open setup forum where you can post examples and we can point out the flaws?

Does your site focus as much on day play as this site?

Okay, I'll do that. On my site there is a philosophy problem when it comes to balance. Most think that town and scum should have equal power. e.g. - If town have cop, mafia must have godfather sorta thing.
My site puts a lot of pressure on day play.
