I don't think moratorium was "lucky" investigating barros. Barros was suspicious. Moratorium knew my talking would venerate or condemn me, and it worked.

You made one or two major mistakes in this game guy0, you should look at them. Most especially the N2 NK. You should have killed Capricious. Capricious was all too perceptive of Barros' guilt, you could have predicted that he would help the town win the game. Mana_Ku was less useful, a burden off our shoulders almost.
you just say that to justify that it was all skill and reason what won you the game when it clearly wasn't.

Guy0, what did you two use to communicate at night? Can you post your night conversation with Barros?

I'll take a step back, you're right guy0, there is definitely a component of luck involved in the game. You don't have to feel like the game totally proves one team to be superior to the others, as a matter of fact, doesn't the cop/doc/rb setup favor town? There's undoubtedly an element of luck involved. I do think you could have improved your chances of winning if you had NKed Capricious.

But it started working later :D

Dude, halfway through D1 who would have thought that Moratorium and pops would be last two standing?

I'm really proud of myself on winning this game. Since i got my role PM, my goal was honestly to find scum and to generate massive amounts of text to show off my alignment to the town. The more information you have about any given thing, the better a guess you can make at what it is. It really really worked, without so much as a claim coming from me, two experienced players had iron confidence in my innocence by the end of the game.

MME- You were instrumental in winning this game, thanks for the help. Your pressure and questionings helped reveal my towniness.

guy0- You played a really good game the whole time, i was very surprised after jersey's flip. I wasn't very suspicious of you at all. I think you could have done better NK, but your daytime activity was really really good. Your partner's failings hurt you a lot, and i won't deny that lady luck hurt you on Moratorium's investigation choice (half luck, half good gameplay we'll say), and the setup's actual identity.

Moratorium- Wow. I went from an "F-" on your scum test to "innocent no matter what the circumstances". I'm sorry for having to grill you on your cop claim, but i felt the need to make sure i wasn't being tricked. Don't become a misanthrope; i actually had more faith in your claim than i let on during D2. I just challenged the wisdom of claiming or not to see how you would react. Maybe try to not lose so much faith in a town that has trouble buying an "easy" claim: i was playing devil's advocate most of D2, guy0 didn't buy the claim because he's scum, jerseygoomba he... he.... he.... i dunno man.

Capricious- Dunno how you semi-lurk and give off town vibes. But you did, which got you the best of both worlds, evading nightkills by virtue of unhelpfulness, evading lynches by virtue of unsuspiciousness

The decisive factor in pops' townness was Barros's "pops is not scum!"

Both scum
were
on the day 1 mislynch. Is it really scummy to think that?

Naw, just scummy to say it :}

Are you saying Barros' fake investigation result is the only reason you guys thought i was town? I thought it would be important but not all deciding. It was a WIFOM situation, barros could have been picking the unexpected side.

guy0 had way too much intriguing interactions with Barros,
Notably, "Some people are being a little too aggressive", which either referred to Barros's non-random vote on YE, or my non-random vote on Barros.

"But he makes a decent point about Barros so I'll have to look more into Barros's posts in the future", while simultaneosly FoSing pops

Also, he was on the day 1 wagon.

Me, i thought pops was town from the moment he was lumped in with YE in the day 1 confusion and plot, but the Barros investigation is what should've convinced everyone else.

so ya moratorium, out night conversation was quite minimal, we both had gotten very little heat so our plan was to just attack you because of your extreme willingness to hammer YE or pops.

pops is right in that i should have NK'd cap instead of mana, but i was just a little afraid of him, i killed him for the same reason i killed MME, and i thought a capricious kill would be too suspicious.

And to capricious, the rb on you night 1 was total luck. :P

Pops gets a victory for his birthday...

...but then, so does the rest of the town.
guy0 was scum!
:D

Good game at the end there. I don't have the N1 choices, but guy0 did a good job of stalling out night choices by blocking Moratorium twice, and killing Capricious last night
(sorry about the gender mixup, a friend of mine's name is capriciouslass online)

Posting activity graph:

I especially like the flailing activity at the end, which I think helped you work your way to a Town win.

(I use the rolling average to help determine deadlines; green dots are replacements, with the big one near the end being my replacement of STD as Moderator)

Is this activity typical?

Not exactly - games tend to spike activity in the first 3-4 days of Day One, then taper off to some 'natural' level (for that game - the 1 post/day/player is just a minimum I require). Deadlines tend to boost activity, unless the game is REALLY suffering (see the doldrums while STD was absent). This game had a lot more late-game activity than most I've seen, but I think that was a good thing - too often people feel "talked out" by the end, and can't think of anything new to add.

For more graphs to compare this game to, check out Category:Post counts.
