I think Chennisden is scum and you've just brushed off the potential of him being scum, and here's why.

1. CROAG

The way he approached Croag's slot when "deciding" to choose between Croag and Bingle did not feel like sorting and actually felt more like someone trying to make an informed decision to set themselves up in the best possible light. Consider Post 1087 as an example. He asks people for his thoughts about Croag/Bingle while having no substantial thoughts should be indicative of this. He was obviously trying to bait responses to see if he could afford saving Croag, or whether throwing Croag under the bus was the smartest move for him to make. I particularly didn't like how he was townread for choosing Bingle as his partner over Croag.

(Meta comment: I chose to discredit that as a good reason to townread me since it could've been angleshot pretty easily and I felt it would set me up better in the future. It did.)

In particular, Post 1103 looks like damage control, where he was considering saving Croag but ultimately decided not to in favor of making it later into the game. He had no real reason to hide his Croag scumread and it seemed very weird that he did that. Not only was his read on Croag something weird that he kept doubling down on even after it became an unproductive line of discussion, he also approached the slot in a "selfish" sort of manner where he was trying to look good off of the interactions, and I don't buy that he had some sort of magic sense to tell that Croag was scum, especially given that he hasn't played with her before. He also hides behind pienyan's reasoning in Post 1201 while trying to pass it off as something genuine because his interactions with the Croag slot probably damned him.
