Just five characters were in the gymnasium that day. Despite fewer voices, the discussion seemed just as loud and intense as it had ever been, for things were getting down to the wire.

The character that was voted out had always seemed mysterious and was quieter than most. He also seemed to have a labile affect, seeming hyper-vigilant one minute and cool as a cucumber the next. It wasn't that other characters hadn't noticed, but those that had had believed that the character in question was working for everyone's benefit. At the end of the day, he just seemed the least trustworthy.

Unfortunately, the characters were informed they had failed once again.

BROseidon, who was Perry the Platypus (Jack of all Trades) and aligned with the
Good Characters
was voted out Day 6.

A character had made something of a barricade using a pile of exercise balls and some yoga mats. She was trying to rest, but had the unmistakeable feeling that she was being watched. Glancing up, she thought she saw movement from behind the water fountain...and then later from out of the corner of her eye.

Eventually, another character -- rather, one out of a usually inseperable group -- came strutting up to her little fort. "<i>Squirtle</i>," he said in a hushed tone, beckoning with his face toward the hallway, and started to help her quietly dismantle the fort. She went with the character, rolling two balls along with her. The hall was dimly lit from the high ceiling. As they entered, she bounced one ball over the head of the other character -- but as it landed on the floor in front of them, the floor beneath it fell through. The rest of that group leaped into the hallway, all from different directions. Taking a firm hold on her remaining ball, she slammed it directly into the face of the surprised Squirtle. The impact knocked him head-first into the pitfall. "All gone," the character giggled. Four Squirtles rushed to surround her as she retrieved the ball.

"Lala play with ball!" She laughed maniacally, bashing the face of the Squirtle that was coming up from behind her into a nearby wall, and shutting the door behind them. The teletubbie suddenly began to be blasted right in the eyes with water. The water pressure pushed her back to the wall. Lala scrambled to lift the ball to block the hydro pump. The spray then came in three separate weaker spurts, which she tried to block off as best she could while moving in on one Squirtle. Lala bounced the ball off the faces of two of the remaining gangsters. "Again again!" She cheered over the sound of pained cries of "squirt." They were soon incapacitated, and it was now a showdown between the squad leader and Lala.

Though she could figure out how to block most of the squirtles shots, he managed to make his attacks quite the defense -- she couldn't get a hit off without leaving herself vulnerable. Eventually, Lala dropped the ball, and picked up a fainted Squirtle to use as a new weapon and shield. The squad leader charged up for what would be a really strong, accurate blast of water. Holding a squirtle by two of its limbs, she ran in a tight circle and then flung him just before the blast went off. The squirtles' heads collided...as did the hydro pump with Lala's face.

The remaining characters in the gym of course eventually heard the commotion, but neither moved to find out was going on. Instead, they held each other's gazes, wondering if the other could really be trusted. Finally, the dog couldn't stand the uncertainty any longer. He crept up to the hallway door, but was unable to open the door due to a severe lack of opposable thumbs. Fortunately, there was a certain fox around who was quite good with his paws. Together they started in horror at the destruction, and made to call for help.

Blue's eyes were quite sad. The fox moved in for a one-armed hug, and at first the dog flinched, but neither broke it until they heard the sound of the magic door. Out came two presenters.

"Brain said if you two hadn't killed each other by the time I got here, you could both be trusted. Come on with us and we'll try to get you back home as soon as possible," one stated. Both characters were quite eager to leave.

Of course the Brain made the buzz about the fiasco center on his own genius, but the characters that made it out knew who the real heroes of his twisted game were. That was what really mattered. Well, that and that they had had an unforgettable experience and could finally return home knowing that they had helped protect their friends and families.

I would put this game as an example of why you never put in a full vigilante into the game but lol it's to amazing to see vigilante shooting all Mafia.

I was actually considering shooting Grib. You really almost salvaged that scum team.

Yeah, figured that was how it was gonna go since mid-yesterday

gg! Transcend carried literally the entire game on his back and I expect him to be nominated for a scummy before I wake up tomorrow and recheck the thread.

I don't think the scumteam did particularly well here, I was trying to drag Aris into the thread for pretty much all of day 3 to post any sort of content and Fire bussing me day 3 and being the catalyst for my wagon actually forming really, really hurt us when we were in an otherwise good position, and I knew I was screwed eventually as soon as I got counterclaimed and didn't post as much as I should have (especially in the mafia QT night 3, I thought it was possible MoI could target himself but didn't have any ideas on who was actually killable aside from people we needed to keep around to mislynch.) Didn't help that I had very very little free time for that night phase but I still should have put a little more effort into it.

Aside from Transcend, MoI and Grib were the only other two players that should get a bit of credit for the win - MoI targeting Grib was a good move, and targeting yourself every other night with that role is I think exactly how it should be played, and doing so made it much more powerful than if he had just used it as a straight doc. (I'd also say that him having used the role in that way pushed the setup to being slightly town-sided, but if most other players had gotten the role and played it a bit more typically that advantage wouldn't have existed.) I also don't think tracker was the right PR to give the mafia given that, since if MoI hadn't claimed we had tracked him the night before to Grib and were still planning on trying to kill him, and a mafia tracker seeing him commuterize someone would pretty naturally try to kill him the night after and fuck themselves over. Grib just looked really town for the whole game, got protected, helped to put suspicion on me, and was town enough to not get shot over the last scum.

Setup was good overall, playing in it was a chore with every day being a tunnel on town and it feeling like there was no way to do anything with that. and also being scum sux.

BTW I read the dead thread. My main account is on my wiki page. It hasn't posted since 2012.

Gotta give credit where it's due, MoI blocked two scum kills. Kudos to you, my dude.

Apologies to Spiffeh, I really just misread you there and I got into quite a quarrel with you. Hope forgiveness can be found there.

I don't think lynching Ceph was the best course of action either because he was insanely obvious town.

Sorry to SnowStorm and BRO as well.

PEDIT: Thanks :)
