i'd like to say some people on my team wanted to surrender because apparently "morgana op" but she's not that good of a mid laner, tbh.

Anyone remember these?

It's wildly reliable. Morg is an extremely safe midlaner and she has very strong extremely reliable bully damage, which combined with her sustain makes her a very strong bulldozing midlaner, and she farms 100% safe and for free with 3 ranks in W. Come on man. Morgana torches your main LB too. Surely you have seen this firsthand?

the second part here I'd love you to explain. On the one hand, I've seen it, experienced it, that a morg more or less kicked me out of midlane. On the other hand, I've never been able to replicate it.

Now that we have thunderlord's, think of Morg like the lux passive proc. Land an auto on someone, and instadrop a W centered on them, which will instahit and then hit them again as they walk out. Morg can push the wave very easily with a little bit of corralling the minions since you can almost get all of them in a W, or you can move the W around like karthus Qs to only hit what you want it to hit (or just use the W for harass and off the minons). Morg also has strong scaling autos which I know sounds retarded but she packs a hefty punch in the early game which is when your mid is won or lost anyway.
Morg has always been very safe and very strong, but now that we can stick a 1 auto TL proc on someone at will, instantly, she's worth playing.

My most satisfying play today, as jungle Zyra. Enemy had a fed Kata and Yi, we awkwardly engaged them while they fought baron, they proceeded to start deleting us, I managed to flash and smite baron, he lived and I got deleted. Enemy team won the team fight and went off to finish baron, then BAM!, ZYRA PASSIVE BARON STEAL! It was beautiful.

I am not talking about being strong in lane, I know this. she can just push it in and you have no kill pressure on her at all because of her safety, but when in teamfights as the adc I can dodge the snare where is her damage to kill me? Not to mention it is single target and can get blocked by tanks that should theoretically be in front of me.

Good in lane /=/ good later imo.

Last 3 games I've played against a sivir they were victorious sivir.

azir's winrate has skyrocketed with the new patch?

there was a bug where his soldiers were doing much more damage than they should've

Morgana is a great midlaner. She's not a burst assassin, obviously, but she offers so much: CC, AOE damage/wave clear, is super safe, a black shield for your assassins/adc.

If your goal is only to get kills, she's not your lady (42/48 among Plat+ midlaners). If your goal is to win, she offers a lot. There's a reason she has the 7th highest win rate among midlaners in Plat+ play.

You don't want to pick her in a comp with something like Maokai top, Nunu Jungle, Sivir ADC but she fits comps with high damage tops/jungles and carry ADCs well.

Morg has always been a strong mid lane pick when AP champs are prevalent in the mid lane. This is because her black shield and passive makes her a very difficult champ to gank and/or kill. She also has the CC to make ganks on her side successful or worthwhile. However, her black shield doesn't block physical damage and from what I can recall, she's always been susceptible to ADC's and AD assassins like Talon.

I wouldn't call her OP, but her kit is very good.

She actually does pretty well against AD champs because she really would love to get an early zhonyas. That's particularly helpful against zed.

Her Plat+ win rates against AD mids:
Zed: 51.33%
Yasuo: 55.31%
Talon: 51.23%

I don't know much about Zed, but I've seen Talons regularly stomp her (and he's also a lot easier to play). And they typically shut her down before she has enough gold to buy a Zhonya's, by which point Talon is either fed or far enough ahead that he can take control of the game

By AD assassins, I mostly mean champs like Zed and Talon. I think Morg can just black shield Yasuo's tornado thing (I'm not sure on the interaction)? I also don't think win rate is a good way to measure how good a champ is at leaning as many other factors come into play (and I don't think people pick Morg expecting to destroy their lane match-up).

you don't need a full zhonya's. Just an armguard and the ability to know how to play the matchup. His E blinks him to behind you, which means you can Q him there.

The biggest threat to talon is that he roams. But Morgana can always get an advantage out of that because her wave clear is good and cheap.

Also, yeah. Morg's wave clear is amazing. She can play safe and still get her CS.

I think they removed his silence. But you should still be able to Q, ult, blink for massive damage.
