i do have some regrets about how absurdly unfair the parachute challenge was

and the mental strain it caused

but on the other hand

town really could've just forced everyone to leave the parachutes and use it like a double elimination.

its just greed won out

Yeah the chute faking thing was dumb af. But, to be fair, that whole event was pretty dumb. A blemish on an otherwise pretty interesting and fun setup.

ok so this chute thing

was really about

capitalism vs socialism

and greed versus the collectivism

like the ideal way town should play that

is to let all the chutes drop

and then decide collectively who should get chutes and who should be left behind

instead greed won

it's really about the human condition

and how our base instincts win out over our better angels

there was DEEP MEANING involved

for reals

I wasn't drunk when I came up with it

this is what I said in the dead PT about the idea behind the game

and I think it does embody the spirit of Squid Game,

The scum were very effective at changing the narrative from "let's find bad guys" to "let's beat team tryhard cuz lol troll"

And I think if they had just stuck with that line, FB could've maintained his hold over the Clown team and maybe yeeted Koba.

It's actually surprising to me Koba managed to overrun the Clowns.

i wanted to take chutes to deny team trying chutes.

I wanted to do it, but I knew when I suggested it that it was never going to work.

even if rules were different i doubt i would have managed to steal another chute unless miracle happened

I wanted to do it, but I knew when I suggested it that it was never going to work.

I didn't expect the town to be able to control any of the eliminations in the first three games.

But they could have if they had the will to do so.

Leaving the parachutes wasn't a viable plan imo because we had no way of knowing if we could actually enforce policy lims on that basis. Also, policy lims kinda stink

It's hard to design for balance because you don't know which players are going to occupy which spots.

You just kind of hope that the game is close enough that both sides have a chance of winning at the end.

I mean you did know the town would be able to enforce policy elims because one of the tenets of Mafia Games on this Website is that the town must be able to win easily if the player cards are all revealed otherwise it would not be defined as Mafia.
