I'd just say if you think it screws up your record, just don't count it. No one will care.
I didn't even notice that Locus had a record in his sig until I read this.
Honestly Locus.. I really don't think that many of us care what your record is. :|

That's fine by me, but I like having it there regardless.

The lynching strategies that I see are:

1. No lynch, see what happens every night, decide day by day.

2. Never lynch and play out the game solely in night.

3. Lynch randomly and appease 2 of the 3 groups.

4. Go on bandwagons and force people to claim or die.

I personally like 2 or 3. Four would be epic and probably a little more fun, but three's a little more strategic. And I really don't see how one wouldn't eventually become 2.

Any other ideas?

hmmm having trouble with strategy at this point - on families are on equal ground -we have mixed information. The bandwagon/claim routine
could
work because a team member could target them for protection. If both other families kill them, they are dead, though... so its still flawed. They could, of course, lie - but whats the point in having bandwagoned then?

If you wanna pretend this is mafia, then pick 4.

I think we should go number 1 on SavetheDragons list, it seems likely that we will be wanting to lynch people eventually but right now it doesnt seem to be a good idea since we really have no idea as to who is who and what is what.

Vote: No Lynch

Lynches aren't mafia, but bandwagons are? Get over it. I never meant to make a big deal out of it, and if I did, I'm sorry.

We could also

5. Mass role claim.

That's pretty much what four is, because once everyone claims, we'll have wasted time. Unless people choose death.

It seems more like a game of Ready Aim Fire than mafia, truth be told. I'm not entirely certain that lynches will be helpful, but night actions will be critical. Unfortunately we can neither confer with our teammates, or be sure our actions will have the intended effect.

Good point, but paper mafia is a good lynch too.

I'd almost go with the "No Lynch" strategy, at least for now... but, it occurs to be that if a few people see fit to share their investigative results (as is implied to be happening now) then each team will start to struggle for a lynch on the other teams. And, as people are going to start claiming investigative results eventually in order to try and push lynches on the other mafias through, so we may as well start now.

Of course, following a lynch after a claimed (or implied) investigation is like a half-claim yourself, but that's the price to be paid. I'd like another opinion or three on this before starting to jump on anyone claimed to be in an opposed mafia, though- it seems like that could devolve into chaos very quickly.

Hmm. How about lynching randomly with the dice tags?
Someone puts all the players on a list, throws a 12 sided dice, and then everyone kills the person chosen while they plead for mercy.

You're just saying that because we're wagoning you.

I don't consider a vote to be a bandwagon.
You idiot, you're not even voting me. You can't say "we".
But if you do, here's your very own bandwagon based off your obtuseness.

Ditto vote count?

As for the option to take, I like 1, though I could also buy 3. Role claiming, as I said before, will not help the one being bandwagoned at all-in fact, 2 out of 3 people will love the claim because it means it's not hurting them.

How about claiming which continent you're from?

by Mr. Flay
What good would that do, Dmi?

I think the information from investigations is going to be interesting because there's little point in lying about your mafia; if you do, your own teammates may target you for death.

Wait, CAN your own team kill you? Fuldu? If two of your own teammates target you (say, they think they're investigating/protecting you), and no one else does, do they kill you? That'd be a crappy way to go...

Same Problem. Then there would be three people, and they would know they could target one another at night with no fear of hitting a team member.

If we are going to claim, we should just claim. But that would be dumb, so I am going to suggest we take option # 1. It would be infinitely more interesting, and challenging, then talking about things during the day. It also might take longer, but who really cares?
