Rule 1) Don't victimize yourself. It makes you a target for trolls. Act like it doesn't bother you and don't respond at all, you'll be left alone eventually. It also makes you look whiney. I'm not trying to be horrible here, I'm giving you genuine advice. If people look whiney, people online wont have any respect for them and they'll end up getting ran off the site through flaming. Woe-is-me never works, it just eggs people on.

From experience, I can tell you that letting bullies walk all over you does not make them lose interest and walk away. If I'm the victim, that's how it is. I won't pretend to be anything else just to make bullies be nicer to me.
