UNVOTE: Slaxx
VOTE: UberNinja

Asking why he picked Grey over the other non-posters is not "pointing out an inconsistency", it's just asking the obvious question to ask when presented with the reasoning he gave. It's pretty clear that UN made that vote with every expectation that someone would ask him why Grey, and every intention of jumping on the first person to do so.

Also post 37 is Image.

Don't get DeltaWave's vote, I'm not seeing the connection between "you're wrong about scum being nervous in RVS" and "you're scum". Gonna go look into Quilford meta to see if Grey's point holds any water.

These are all of Quilford's mini normal games, most of them he replaced out of.
Mini Normal 1145
Mini Normal 1147
Mini Normal 1272
Mini Normal 1202
Mini Normal 1190
Mini Normal 1161
Mini Normal 1156

My mini normal games, I didn't replace out of any, I'm also pretty sure there are 3 more games between 800 and 851 somewhere:
Mini Normal 1304
Mini Normal 1140
Mini Normal 1075
Mini Normal 946
Mini Normal 928
Mini Normal 847
Mini Normal 851
Mini Normal 795
Mini Normal 800

Grey, your logic is bad. I feel more comfortable in mini normals than I do in open games and theme games.

All this justifying coming from Haylen isn't looking very good for my town read on her. Why are you going to so much effort to justify yourself Haylen?

Because I'm actually playing the game as opposed to sitting back and lurking.

I don't see much playing going on here. All I see is you spouting needless fluff.
And was that second half directed at me or anyone else?

...I'm defending myself against peoples votes for me and refuting GreyICE's argument...how is that needless fluff? It was an explanation as to why I'm justifying myself.

You also seem to keep changing and adding to your story every time. It makes it less believable.

PEDIT: You justified yourself multiple times for the same thing. Each time seemed to be different and each time there happened to be more to it than before. Really, you shouldn't have to justify yourself that much and this certainly wasn't a situation which called for it.

I've got null-town on Grey and IAm.

I can't find a train that'll take me to my destination yet, so I think I'll hop on this one for now, its goin to good places.

unvote, vote haylen

You realise we have a quicktopic, right? I've been writing what Quil's been telling me and posting small posts at a time because a) I'm posting during revision breaks, b) It's easier for other players to read. The whole point of having a defence is that you are able to add to it, otherwise it's a pretty crappy defence.

Yes I know you have a quicktopic, yes I understand you needing a few posts to update us. But what I don't get is why did you have to go through all that effort to defend something that barely even holds ground by itself?
Also a good defense is one you don't need to add to.

Haylen wrote:You're talking rubbish, greyice. Look at quilfords wiki, out of the 25 games he has played 2 have been mini normals. Also I've played 2 mini normals in the passed year, I think it was havingfitz's game. My wiki needs updating. I hate theme games; I cant get the hang of then thats why i play them so much. Also, through all of them I was either invited or stalking camn.

It's page 2 and I honsetly don't see how this isn't an acceptable defense.

I prefer a good strong defence than a weak on like that. If you don't back it up with every scrap of evidence you have (which I did), then it's not acceptable to me. I'm holding myself to the same standards I hold to everyone else in this game.

I thought so too.

Townies say "no that's ridiculous" and disregard it
Scum says "omg omg omg they suspect meeee. here let me drown them in evidence to the contraryyyyy"

Guess which Haylen is doing

Nah, that wasn't my intention originally, but it ended up working out that way and scum is caught and already flailing, so why
not
roll with it and pretend I had everything figured out anyway?

Alright, this is a good example of a good defense. I think at this point the dissagreement is just a matter of playstyle.

I like to be thorough ;)

Now Uber imagine it's lylo. A player gives a defence, the other player gives a defence but backs it up with evidence. Who do you vote for?

MoI has pointed out that in the time period that you've played in two normal games, Quilford has played in seven.

I, having been in some of the games he replaced out of, find the characterization of him as 'bored' with normals suspect.

Subject: Mini 1161 - Neruzian Era Mafia (Over!)
Quilford wrote:It wasn't me being bored that caused me to replace out of this game, not at all.

It was a fatal combination of me juggling far too many games, being hit with exams that spelled the potential loss of my scholarship to a massively expensive school (meaning I would have to transfer), personal issues re: bisexuality, stress between parents (no money -> no ability to pay bills -> no internet -> posting at school -> limited posting) AND complete and utter apathy for this game after being run up to L-1. But you don't need to know most of that. So I posted only the reason I was comfortable with letting people know.

Despite what may be thought, rarely do people replace out of games out of pure boredom. They're sacrificing being seen as a dick for keeping other details confidential.

Hmmmmm...

Given that speech, would Quilford in his QT, actually explain himself as being bored with Mini-Normals if he was attempting to explain why he didn't take the mini-normal? I doubt it.

But would Quilford say he was bored with Mini-Normals if he was attempting to
justify
why he didn't take the mini-normal? There's a reason I wouldn't ship the dude a scum PM in a million years.

BTW Glork I can see you.

Now tell me why I would take a scum role PM? I've just been nominated for best manipulator and best scumteam for the same game, last year team mafia Ythill got caught because of his pride in his scum play.

The roles everyone in this game have chosen is pure WIFOM. I wont be participating in trying to guess what people would want based on their preferences anymore, it leads away from true scumhunting. If you're town then you would do the same.

I think GreyICE is going to end up nowhere with his case. Meta tells like that are stupid, you don't know whether it's true or not.
