Holy Christ is TIP bad. 39 and 41 are just...egads, bad. Don't take people out of context, and don't ask them to self-meta. Very counter-productive.
@TIP: You didn't even know what a Governor was until I explained it to you. Therefore, you have no experience with the role or how to properly use it. You are not qualified for it.
I am withholding a final opinion on who to elect until ArcAngel posts in a meaningful manner, but at this point it will definitely not be TIP or Who.- Doc Holliday

Okay so reasons why you're scummy.
1. You instantly recommended me to be the Governor, even though I hadn't posted anything. That seems like you're trying to get on my good side somewhat by pseudo-buddying me. That is scummy.
2. You elected yourself for Governor, but you put me as another potential candidate in order to make yourself seem okay with not getting the power. It honestly seems as if you're wholly interested in grabbing the power yourself, which is why you instantly voted yourself right afterward.
3. Your reads seem as if you don't want to tread on any toes. I don't personally count your reads as reads per se, because all it is is you calling all of us null, then voting the 'lurker'. ArcAngel hasn't necessarily been lurking. This game's been open for two days, and she confirmed yesterday. I wouldn't call that lurking.
4. In post #43, all you did was say that Who is null, say you should be Governor (but not //why// you should be Gov), then defend the idea of the Cult Leader getting Gov. Why would you say that if you were town? You don't want to give the Cult Leader the advantage in any way, shape, or form. In that respect, I feel as if you're trying to have us warm up to the idea of the CL getting the Gov. That I interpret as you saying "I'm Cult Leader and I want the power. It's not like it's gonna do much harm!"
Who I'm somewhat worrisome of for the same reason as #4. The conversation around post 31 gave me bad feelings, but he was saying it in more of an objective fashion than you. He also makes me feel ehh about him because he, too, seemed relatively eager for the power.
Doc reads town for me because instead of saying that he should be Gov, he started talking about who //shouldn't// be Gov. That gave me great vibes, and he's been calling people out on being scummy.
ArcAngel has had one post. Therefore, null.
Pedit:
Yeah, I'm pretty confident in Doc being town.- chkflip

Doc, who gave you the right to be leader? Setting yourself above suspicion is suspicious, bro. Get a hold of yourself.
I was never Pope; in fact, no one was ever Pope until they were chosen. And every Pope has been good at his job. So don't make silly excuses.
1. Ever hear of RVS?In post 52, Candillan wrote:Okay so reasons why you're scummy.

2. What is this I don't even
Everyone who wants the power to himself is scum. Logical. I had to propose other candidates because I want this Town to win, not to perish away.
3. We can't have any real reads at this stage...
4. Why should you be Governor? Why should Doc be governor? Of course I don't want the CL to be Governor; that would be counterintuitive on my part. I'm saying that it is possible for us to find him easily if he does by accident or any ruse he plays on us.
And to you, everyone who wants to be Governor is scummy...
Didn't you think that whoever wants to be Governor is Town and wants to look out for his fellow villagers?

1. There's a difference between RVS and nominating someone to get the power for an actual reason. If you truly believed that it was RVS, you would have voted one of us in that very post.
2. I didn't say that. You didn't //have// to propose other candidates. If you feel that way, then that just convinces me even more that you were thinking "Oh yeah, I want the power, but I'll say someone else too so the others don't think I'mtoointerested because then I'll look scummy".
3. It's totally possibly to have reads at this point in the game. I have reads, and it seems that Doc has reads, too.
4. I didn't say Ishouldbe Governor, I said that I'm fine with it. Doc said that heshouldn'tbe Governor. Why did you instantly want the power without even knowing what it did? The reason why I said that you shouldn't be the Gov is that you and who seemed too eager to grab for power. The fact that you didn't even know what it did and youstillsaid that you should have it is really scummy.
It's pretty much LyLo, as if we mislynch tomorrow, the CL recruits someone, and then there's 2-2 and the Cult wins. If the CL doesn't use their Gov powers, we know that they're the CL, sure, but the game's already lost unless there's some super PR out there somewhere that stops it.
Not everyone who wants to be Gov is scummy, but those who seem desperate to get the power do.
I do think that there are people who have that mindset, but there's one person who is CL and wants to look out for his/her own hide.
Don't try to discredit my posts by making them look like a joke. It looks bad on your part.- TheIrishPope

1. Then let's call it by another name. Random Candidate Possibilities Mentioning Stage, if you will.
2. Of course I had to. If not, everyone would be on my ass for it. In any case, you are seeing the bad side of it all. This is bad, the opposite is bad; what is good for you? You can't cruise around the game saying everything is wrong.
3. I don't have reads now. Is that scummy?
4. I thought it would be interesting in any way. Sorry geez.
Is it possible that you are that PR?
I don't think we'll mislynch because we can have a good grasp of who scum or CL are. In a 5p game, especially, it's easier to look into everyone and make the best decision. I reallyhopewe won't mislynch, anyway.
Doc saying he doesn't want to be Governor should be fishy to you as well, then. He wants to keep the heat off of him.
I don't take your posts as a joke. You certainly seem to be joking around, but I'm being as objective as possible.- Candillan

1. It wasn't random though. You said yourself that you chose me because I had the oldest join date, and you think I'd be the wisest.
2. You didn't have to. Who didn't. I didn't. Arc didn't. Doc didn't. It isn't the actions that are bad, it's the motivations. I see scum motivations coming from you.
3. No, but you did have reads. You called all of us null, with a slight scumread on Arc. If you didn't have reads, then you would have said so instead of posting what you did.
4. So you didn't even make an attempt to find out what it did? Why would you argue that it's 'for the good of the town' to put it into the hands of someone who doesn't even know what it does?
You're rolefishing. Stop that.
We can have a better grasp of who the CL is if everyone assembles reads. It is easier because it's five players, and that's why I've found it fairly easy to assemble something resembling reads so quickly.
Doc's posts don't give me heat-dodging vibes. Mostly because he went and attacked you and Who immediately. That isn't something someone who "wants to keep the heat off of him" does.
You literally just said that you don't take them as a joke but you think it's a joke.

I don't see what the problem with wanting to be governor is. Everyone wants gov to go to town, every townie knows they are town, thus every townie wants to be governor. And furthermore, anyone who wants governor being scummy produces WIFOM.
Also, you say we know the gov is CL if they don't use their power. Aren't they only allowed to use their power before the flip? They could easily not know that the person being lynched was town.- Candillan

The problem isn't wanting to be Governor. That in itself is null. The problem is that Pope seems desperate to get it.
Good point, I need to reword that.
If someone quickhammers and the CL is town, it's autowin for the Cult unless there's a super PR out there that can defend against alignment changes or something like that. The only one who can defend against that would be the Gov. If the CL //is// the Gov, however, then they autowin pretty much.- Doc Holliday

I really, reallydon't feel like responding to the verbal diarrhea that are the last few posts.
Look, TIP. Your irrationality is starting to come off as distinctly Town, so let me give you some advice: step back. Chill. Recognize that you are a completely inexperienced, and for that objective reason, a terrible choice for the responsibility of Governor. Come to terms with the fact that pointing out your poor decisions is not personal, and that you need to re-evaluate some things.
Done? Okay, good. As it is, this thread has been devoted almost entirely to you acting like a clown and the rest of us trying to point that out to you. Given that Candillan and I have been highly pro-active in trying to correct you, we are both likely Town (yes, even from your perspective.) Given that, the scum is probably within the set of {ArcAngel, Who}, both of whom have managed to take cover under the arguments about you and stay below the radar.
In summation, take a chill pill, get back on task, and get on board.
----
I'm fairly confident that Candillan, TIP, and I are all Town. Of that group, I feel most comfortable with this:
Vote: Candillan
PE: Who, as much as Townies should bewillingto take the Governorship, the CL shouldactively want it. They'd be practically desperate for it. Further, the idea that a Governor who elects not to exercise their authority is automatically guilty is a fallacy. Given that we need a majority to lynch, it is entirely likely that the Governor will agree with the lynch, and choose not to use it. Indeed, it would be anti-Town to use their ability in such a situation.
My suspicion of Who continues to grow as he sows dissent and prioritizes esoterics over substance.- TheIrishPope

1. RVS: silly reasons to choose someone. RCPMS: silly reasons to choose someone. Oh god what a horrible name
2. I saw it as necessary, and still do not see the scum motivation behind it.
I think 2 and 3 are merged by now.
3. If Town has this ability, it is beneficial to the Town. If I did in fact get it, I would have investigated fo sho.
I am scumhunting. I shall continue that.
That's what I just said
Attacking people out of the blue isn't scummy?
I think you might be doing them as a joke, but I take them seriously in an attempt to, you know, win this game.
Doc might be scum. Doc might not be scum.
You are Town.
Who: Wouldn't the majority who voted for a person with good reason know the Governor wasted his ability? Maybe catching on that he's defending Cultists?
Candillan: If this issue boils down to me wanting the Governor ability, I don't see where your logic lies. I want to be Governor to help Town. I am not desperate. I am making my case.
Doc: Fine, whatever.
VOTE: Candillan
It seems Candillan will be better off with it anyway.- Candillan

@Doc, I agree that who has been slipping under the radar, but I feel as if we should give Arc the benefit of the doubt. I'm also not confident in your townread on Pope. Rolefishing is aghterrible, and his motivations don't seem town to me.
@Pope,
1. Fair enough.
2. I see the scum motivation behind it. It mostly lies in the words 'must' and 'necessary'. I don't see it as necessary; I see it as scummy.
3. Yes, it is beneficial to the town. If I didn't know what it does, I wouldn't have started campaigning for it. I would have at least looked it up.
I see more defense than scumhunting, though to be fair, the only posts I've seen have been focused on you.
Rolefishing is still terrible.
You said that his deferring of the power is him trying to keep the heat off him, but then you admit that he did attack you, which is inherently not keeping the heat off him?
Also, I agreed with his points. It wasn't out of the blue, he was calling you out on what was wrong with your post.
I'm not joking about anything I post. What about them makes it look like I'm joking?
So you have a nullread on Doc and a townread on me. Didn't you just say that you had no reads? What makes you suddenly read town on me? Weren't you just calling some of my actions scummy?
Fair enough on the last bit, but your eagerness is still troubling.
Is everyone okay with me being the Governor? If so, we can move into night zero. I personally want to wait until ArcAngel posts her thoughts before we do so.- TheIrishPope

I'd assume there'd be no factional conversion that night, otherwise it'd also be autowin for Cult. o_o
@Mod - If we do elect a Governor, does it go to Day 1 or Night 0?
Great that you're verifiable. That's one less person to worry about.
Pedit - Pope you're still rolefishing that's not good stop ;-;
Who, don't softclaim that's also not good ;-;

Who, Oh, I didn't see that, whoops.
Pope, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume by "what do you mean by easy to verify" meant that you wanted to know what a verifiable role was, and not that you wanted to know how he was verifiable.
The former is innocent, the latter is scummy.
Considering the fact that you didn't know what a Governor was, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.- Doc Holliday

@Candillan: My townread on TIP is based on the two observations. First, TIP is extremely new and inexperienced. He clearly doesn't know what he's doing. Second, newbies who draw a scum role, especially an important scum PR, tend to be very transparently concerned with what people think of them. TIP doesn't afraid of anything. That firmly locks him in as "newbie Town." - Doc Holliday
