Do you want to be shot?

I find this extremely suspicious btw.

Given his join date, it's a newbie desperate for a strong role, or scum taking a really huge risk.

Yeah? why.

a confirmed hydra is probably a better shooter than a single player account.
and dead scum is, well, dead scum. i probably would have already shot them myself. your patience is commendable.
This is the only really scummy thing I've seen yet -- mainly because I don't actually think you'd do that with the gun. I don't know how the underlined is even close to a strong enough point for you do up and say that icing the hydra is a huge pro-town move regardless of what they flip.

You think we wouldn't have caught on?

Nacho --> Jacob, Jacob is town, Nacho dies, Jacob gets gun.
Jacob --> TIP, TIP is town, Jacob dies, TIP gets gun.
Jacob --> TIP, TIP is scum, Town wins.
The middle two of these scenarios blow; how is this superior to just scumhunting normally? Why is it important that we go after Jacob of all people and not someone else?

Because Jacob, in my mind, is scum. So it is better to shoot him now.

oh...

that little flow-chart was your answer to my question?

wow... uh.. ok

Do you honestly think that we will win after shooting one scum, when there's four?

and no, that is no where near what I was saying. Nacho knows exactly what I'm talking about and then there's the fact that me telling him to shoot us would be asking for his death, and I don't really want Nacho dead. Syry I might not mind, but not Nacho

This was the answer, really.
When one scum falls, it's a domino effect. It's a straight win for Town.
I am not Nacho. Please explain this to me.

That's not really the angle you were pushing in the post I quoted. You said shooting him gives tons of information -- how is shooting him right now different than shooting someone else, infowise?

How do you possibly have a strong enough scumread on Jacob that you want him dead now? He hasn't posted a damn thing of value yet. It seems like you're trying to subtly push the information point to cover the fact that you want him dead with more confidence than your read on him should dictate.

Let's just say there's something called hydra dissonant and depending how often you play with hydra's - you'll see it during the games.

You might find Mara's posts suspicious, but anyone who has been in a hydra might feel a different way because they have experienced how hard it is for two heads to come to a single decision on whatever decision it might be.

tell me more about this. did someone react? why would anyone take such a declaration seriously?

you obviously don't know me. and are an idiot. have you ever heard the saying "two heads are better than one?" there is basically thousands of years of evidence to support it. so whatevz.

If this is gonna be a game full of ad hominem from you just tell me now so I can go on record saying I want you dead and ignore you the rest of the game. You also didn't really address my point -- should we just policy shoot hydras in this setup simply because they're hydras? Would you go on record saying that this is a good idea?

on the record: shooting hydras is a great idea. and no, this doesn't have to be a game full of ad hominem. i only call it like i see it. if you choose to ignore thousands of years of evidence supporting a commonly known statement, i am going to call you an idiot. its nothing personal. just the truth.

Why is Jacob scum?

~Mala
Hydra dissonance doesn't justify the subject at hand. If Nacho wants to shoot you, and your slot is Town, it shouldn't be too difficult. If you are scum, better for us.
Basically, your argument is "don't shoot us or this game we signed up for will be too hard"
Jacob is scum for the following reasons:
1. Following the Gambler's fallacy,
2. Not making an effort to scumhunt, and
3. Look at ISO#1. In his SECOND post, he asks why you are pressuring him. So I'm thinking Jacob and you three are part of the scum.

Yeah guys, attack arguments, not people.

Three shitty people (not trying to argue that any of you M girls are such) with a gun is easily worse than one good person with a gun. How is this not obvious?
TIP wrote:You said it yourself: He hasn't posted a damn thing of value yet.
Yes. Why is your read on him not null?
