I don't think such a statement is indicative of alignment. I've read tons of games, and I've seen both sides say they were town early on in the game, just to have a little joking fun with WIFOM. As I was doing.

Now, if someone who was new repeatedly stressed that they were town rather unnaturally, that would be the "medium-sized" tell and would be rather scummy. That's what bubblesack thinks I did, but I didn't.

1. who's saying you should? you clearly don't believe in alignment reads this early in the game anyway, judging from your second question.

2. post 27 was awful. wake continues to not put pressure on anyone, and asks a question that makes it look like he's doing something when in fact it wasn't really relevant to what was going on. most notably, he doesn't ask the question to anyone specific, leading me to believe that he didn't really care about the answer. sure enough, nobody answers his question and in his next post, 55, he doesn't care. he doesn't re-ask, or anything. he's asking questions to blend in while he doesn't really care what the answer to them is, and he hasn't taken a stance on anything at all yet or put pressure on anyone.

I thought he was put at L-1. I unvoted because I didn't want a page 3 lynch. A votecount was provided. He was not at L-1 (or 2, after my unvote). He was at L-3. I put my vote back where I wanted it.

I'm not sure why you think this sequence of events is scummy.
