TOKYO NEWS - May 1st, 1947 Evening
MR. IWABUCHI ARRESTED, MURDER, LAUNDERING, CONSPIRICY

Tokyo -

On a tip, the poliec arrsted the vice president, Mr. Iwabuchi on charges of conspiricy, murder and money laundering.
mong those who spoke out against the construction company vice president was his former assistant, Mr. Wada who was recently presumed dead.
Mr. Iwabuchi's office was searched, and enough evidence was found to make the arrest. He is currently awaiting trail at the Tokyo high security prison.

DAY #2

TOKYO NEWS - May 2nd, 1947 Morning Edition
MURDER ATTEMPT INVESTIGATED - MAN AT LARGE
Tokyo - An attempt on the life of Wacky was made last night. Acording to reports, Wacky saw a man in a trenchcoat and hat enter her room. The man pulled out a gun, and shot wacky. Wacky was rushed to the hospital and is currently in stable condition. Because of the coat and hat, and because the room was dark, the victem didn't see the muderer's face.

It is now Day 2, 10 are alive. 6 to lynch

hmmm sounds like Wacky was targetted by the mafia, but protected by the doc. I wonder if hes allowed to post while in hospital?

Ok, so 500 wasn't lying about CD being the godfather, and that was a big win for us, but I still want to know more about 500. If Coolbot's theory is right, then 500 is now the godfather, so conceivably would look innocent to investigators. Still, I don't suppose anyone has dirt on her?

During the past night I've been almost mafia, almost mod-killed, almost replaced, and almost night-killed. I almost told... oh wait, that happens now.

Vote: Isaac (the last mafia)

Could there be an SK (500 maybe?) or another mafia group in this game though? Because otherwise it wouldn't be very balanced.

Well, that clinches it. In the absence of any sort of effective modding, I'm going to have to say what's up. So I recieved a role PM indicating that chaotic_diablo was my godfather, and that Wacky was my fellow mafia member. Needless to say, last night I PMed Wacky to discuss what to do today. I recieved in response a PM from Foolster stating something to the effect that Wacky was not mafia, and would have to be replaced, and faulting me for PMing her. I PMed him back the role he sent me, and he said that he was sorry for the confusion. However, somehow he decided that my PMing Wacky meant that Wacky was my night kill choice, AND decided not to replace Wacky in the game.

So I have no idea why Wacky wasn't replaced during the night, but she should have been. It doesn't matter now, because now that she's posted on what has happened, I'm effectively outed because of mistake that the mod made. So let's get this day over with, eh?

Also, if Wacky wasn't mafia, that means that there is only a two person mafia, which (to me, anyway) points to another mafia group or a cult. Best of luck to the town in finding them.

Here's how it looked from my side (and I am disappointed with Foolster somewhat)

During the night Isaac PMs me, asking who to kill during the night, how his win condition is already impossible, and how I should go after him during the day.

Problem is, my PM never said that I could communicate with Isaac at night. So I contacted Foolster about it.

Then later on Foolster PMs me again, saying no replacing is needed, since Isaac was supposed to be able to PM me in the first place, only he forgot to tell me.

Which is VERY weird since had the setup been done properly all the mafia would have been outed day 1.

I think what your PM said exactly was that you may communicate with your father (Chaotic Diablo), and your sister (myself). Google for the plot summary, and it will tell you that my role is more aligned to some other character.

I don't know anything about your night choice though. I still had things to say.

I want to make it clear I'm not voting for Isaac in the above post.

Everyone else, there's so much going on that doesn't make sense, that I think we're being played. First, a townie is told straight up who the Godfather is, and then outs him. Next day, a bizarre set of PM confusions ends up with another mafioso outed by somebody whom he thought was a fellow mafioso. There has to be something else going on here, and I think we're being set up for a trap with this.

Isaac, you said you PMed Wacky last night to discuss the mafia's night choice. However, if she's outing you today, that would mean you didn't PM her night one. Why didn't you PM her night one, not even to check in with her?

Wacky, what is your role if you're not mafia? I know it's unusual to push for a role claim from somebody who's claiming to be outing mafia, but this game's been far from usual. You say you're Isaac's brother. What's your role's name?

All, has anyone actually read the book or seen the movie? Foolster said that knowledge of the theme wasn't necessary, but I think it'd be great if we have more material.

Also, apolgies for getting gender confused anywhere.

There was no night one, we went straight into day, which is why I think there's probably another killing group.

My role is Keiko Nishi. I have night communication with my father, (Chaotic), my husband (not mafia), and apparently my brother (Isaac) as well.

Thirdly, if you want to find out the plot, google it for about half an hour, and you'll pick up most of the start of the plot (not much)

Ok, I still think there's something fishy here, but I don't have any convincing reason for it. Isaac, why was your win condition already impossible? I'm not sure you gain anything by answering, but you probably don't lose anything either.

I was told my win condition was that I and my father were alive. (another mod mix up) Thanks to the untimely death of my father, I figured that I was lost anyway, but i figured that Wacky might still be able to win, so I PMed her asking her to go after me tomorrow. Kind of ironic, actually.

1. There's only one major female role in the movie
2. People are suddenly calling me "she" for otherwise no apparent reason?

Anyway, from the mod mistakes it's looking pretty likely that the mod somehow couldn't see this coming.

I feel bad for Foolster, I know I kind of threw a wrench in the gears of the game here, but I felt that since I was effectively outed, I had no choice. Nonetheless, this game was in the queue for a

long

time, and I know that many of us were looking forward to playing it. I feel horrible seeing it get off to such a convoluted start. But we're still near the beginning, if everyone else is cool with it, I think it might be a good idea to get someone to replace chaotic and just restart the game, reshuffle the roles, etc. I only say this because this game has gotten wacky (ha!) pretty quickly, and I know that foolster must have been looking forward to it a lot, and that seeing it go this way may not be that easy on 'im.

I agree foolster probably put alot of time in this game and to see it go down like this might seem like a waste of his time. I say we shuffle the roles and go again.

Having a reshuffle would probably degenerate to mass claiming.

Besides, if my role was done right it would have told me both mafia from the start, which...doesn't quite work.

Well as the town, we really have no idea whats going on. Do we know that Issac's the last mafia? No. Do we actually know theres been a mistake? Not for definite. I suggest that untill mod gets here nobody reveals any more roles or the like until we really know whats going on.

Well, I have information that implies that the game is probably irretrievable, but I'll wait on Foolster to come back for a decision.

Whilst it'd be nice to redo everything, I don't think it can work, as everyone will know at least one other role that's in the game - it makes it very hard for the mafia at least. Woe

I just got this cleared up from foolster.

Apparently Wacky is my sister, and I can talk to her at night, but she was not to know that I was mafia. Of course, this was not explained to me. However, Foolster said that because I told her that I was mafia, she would not be replaced. Which, no offense, is complete B.S. I would have never told her that I was mafia if i wasn't under the impression that she was mafia as well. So what is essentially happening is that I, and the game, are being made to suffer because Foolster messed up and didn't fix it. So yeah, can we finish this? I want to get into another game.
