I would actually recruit a town read. I would rather to be able to talk to a conf town then to find a mafia.
I have been thinking about this. I think recuriting someone who is active rather than someone who is a town read is a better choice.

Wait why would recruited mason claim?
You're gonna have to explain that first post then. Regardless, just the fact that someone's a mason immediately points to the guy who says they'd recruit them. As such, I see 0 reason for masons to hypoclaim truthfully and would actually recommend lying or running it through an RNG.
Edit: Riddleton answered correctly, nullread is best choice. Scumreads you can get lynched anyway, townreads are just gonna take the NK and you can't really get much out of masonizing them.

@ILF: Hannibal's avatar is from Civilization IV, amazing game. I like your last post, seems townish, stuff before that, very light scumread, so nullread for now.
I think awesomeusername is town. elle's vote is weird if Whatisswag is town.
Why would that make it weird?

This vote seems opportunistic, like it's jumping on someone with the ol helpful "defend the people who aren't in the thread yet". Easy townpoints, especially from the people you're defending, and honestly, this is one of the weakest reasons to vote the guy. Personally I think his RVS stuff is fine, although his repeated preaching about it being a serious vote is kind of annoying and possibly scummy but that could just be me being annoyed.

Btw here are the four games I played on MS from earliest to latest. As you can see, I dont have a fixed style of play as either faction (except the part about claiming scum). I would say meta on me is useless, but if people insist...

I see we're beyond RVS already, which is fine I guess. We have a Christmas dinner for 18 going tomorrow afternoon, so it may be 24 hours before I can really get going on this game. If I get enough time between gifts and the beginning of dinner prep I'll try to get on, but no promises.
Hannibal, did/do you play mafia on CFC?

Highly disagree. We can use masons as unlynchables (this is why we really shouldn't waste any time in this setup, don't stall up to the deadline [note to self]) and we can use them when nearing LyLo so they can all claim and pretty much solve the game for us. Scum is going to be actively mason hunting though and all hypoclaims does is give scum more information.
Remember, the idea of hypoclaiming as a cop is that if you die, your results are outed. So if I were a cop I could claim my guilty without actually claiming, and if I get NK'd as a result everyone knows who to lynch.
This is completely and utterly useless for masons to do.
Self meta while saying meta is useless, real meh.
What do you think of elle?

RVS is shit.
There are two ways to get out of RVS:
Use set-up stuff (which I already did)
Use game-related information (which I also did by the late confirmation argument + vote)
nothing much about elle. If anything, then I think she is null-town from the early confirmation during the pregame.
I still remember the first 4 to confirm:
elle
dave
kaboose

1. You're trying to prove yourself as town by being helpful. Thanks. I'd tell you to stop but it's strengthening my vote on you.
2. Dude ffs the article you linked from mastin was
A. written over 3 years ago and thus is pretty much useless due to site meta evolution, and
B. she literally edits the part to say the tell is completely null anyway but makes for a fun RVS vote.
Now we have a vote and further information from elle and you choose to ignore reading it because early confirmation is better for getting a read?

I feel like you're going through the motions, using robotic scumtells/towntells to get early reads and look helpful. I could program your play into a bot, essentially; every part of your posts.
It feels ingenuine.
As such, I want you to explain your read on Riddleton, I assume there's something to be seen there?

I kinda feel Riddleton, in the sense that from my play, it seems that he is town
Posted: Wed Dec 24, 2014 8:05 pm
by CorpsesInEthanol
Again, robotic. I feel like Riddleton's joking around is exactly the kind of thing he'd do as any alignment. There was no way he'd actually get lynched for claiming shit.
Recklessness is a playstyletell, not an alignment tell.
This could be explained by you using outdated scumhunting methods. So your meta is actually not useless since I can go check to see if all this stuff is playstyle.

Well, I can only vote for one person at a time.
Why are you worrying about the Masons and tossing around self-meta? It's more distracting than anything else.

Unvotes just after RVS are scummy. It's an unnecessary defensive move that looks like "Hey, I'm doing something" when there's no need to.

OR a necessary move on a slot I read as town from it. Good thing my vote wasn't RVS in the first place, though, eh?
