I wanted to just post the joke, but I have seen what KTS was banned for, so I had to make it obvious that the joke was a joke... which kills the joke.

I mean, im outgoing etc irl, but im not sure im the same in mafia although im usually a very active poster, and i dont consider myself that charismatic in mafia.
Most of the stuff i've read about it seems true about me however XD
Didn't know about this personality test so thanks for showing it to me, I hope that helps you read me in the long run.

You're better at reading my own RQS than I am it seems :/

Do you mind elaborating a bit more? There are some other things I wanted to look into in Karnos's answers later but I thought it might be better to wait until more people answer so it doesn't bias answers if I point it out.

Clearly you're trying to defend your scum buddy by ignoring the votes placed upon him.
That logic would make Transcend scum - so why aren't you voting the larger wagon?
Because I'm to lazy to mathz in order to find out how much majority is.

In post 42, gigabyteTroubadour wrote:1. Do you get your reads typically from gut or evidence?
Gut read, but evidence will always be regarded higher in my opinion.

2. How would you describe your level of experience?
Well I've only played 1 newbie game on this sight, but otherwise I've played roughly 15ish mafia style games.

3. When trying to get a better read on a specific player, do prefer you reread the entire thread or just their ISO?
ISO.

4. What's your Myers-briggs personality type? Here's a link to a test for it if you don't know yours, but you can skip this one if you don't feel like wasting time.
INTP

5. What's your opinion on Lynch All Liars? Lynch All Lurkers? Policy lynches in general?
Lurkers are the scum of the earth.
Yes to lynching lurkers, liars I'm less concerned about if they have a good reason but I don't see a reason to really lie as town this game as there is no power roles to lie about, I have no problems with policy lynching.

6. Do you think it's a good idea to utilize all of the time allotted by a deadline?
[sarcasm]No I think wasting time is far more important.[/sarcasm]

7. Are you scum?
What do you think?

I tend to townread people who are sarcastic or just have a very "idgaf" attitude, at least in the earlier stages of the game. Town, in my experience from face-to-face games, tend to (and should) care less about how they look to other people.

I promise that I will answer my own RQS as soon as Thor answers #56.

I don't scumread Karnos, I townread you.

Io is also an acceptable lynch.

responding to 59 was to indicate that I agree with you

So, Thor, the vote on Karnos was just RVS?

No - what part of 'I townread you' is confusing?
You are a townread.
You're voting Karnos.
Ergo, if I'm right about you, statistically by voting who you vote I'm more likely to target scum.

I haven't made a random vote at any time in this game.
Nor will I.

I don't think that actually works that way.
He can be completely wrong about it still. If he's town then he's no more likely to know who scum are than you so why would sheeping him have a better chance of hitting scum?

Posted: Fri Jul 15, 2016 7:53 am

Nah he's right about the math.
But he's wrong about that it's only whoever they are voting.

If you have a townread statistically everyone else is more likely to be scum.
I would really like to hear the logic behind the math wrt Kanos.

Actually this makes sense with the vote, sooooo nvm.

Not really sure about that philosophy, town absolutely can scumread other town. Assuming both of us are town, there's 7 town players and 2 scum players, so that's a 7/9 chance I'm voting for a town member.

But this game shouldn't be left to probability. I believe in voting anything that rubs me the wrong way early in the game, and there is something else that bothered me about Karnos's responses that I will discuss after I feel I have enough responses to go off of. I will say that if anyone cannot think for themselves, though, sheeping me with a vote on Karnos is a good place to start here.

By the way, I do deliver what I promise so I'm going to start writing up my own responses.

Obviously I have to be curious about that, but more importantly: how do you feel about people who flat out refuse to answer your questions?

Here let me help you.
He's townreading you, ergo everyone else has a higher chance of being scum if he's right.
He's not random voting.

There's your answer.

It's null, some people think that RQS is just fluff (or even scummy, I've seen in some games :/) and thus ignore it. They're entitled to their own opinions and I'm not going to turn this game into a crusade to force people to answer my questions. On the other hand, after RQS/RVS, I will be jumping on people's throats to answer my questions  !

Spoiler: RQS
  • 1. I'm a gut person. Usually, if I feel the need to validate my gut I will look back for evidence, but it always comes back to gut.

    2. Complete newbie to forum mafia, but my friends play a lot of face-to-face games and I was briefly part of a chatroom with a mafia channel.

    3. ISOs, one big reason being because I like to see how organically people change their opinions throughout the game.

    4. I'm an INFP!

    5. Nope!

Ah, OK. That makes sense, but it just didn't come to me naturally that way.

I've been guilty of this, because RQS usually looks like busywork.
What sold me was your question 4, I think it's a good thing because putting yourself in other shoes by knowing their personality helps you read them much more easily and that feels Pro-Town to me.
