Understanding the fundamental way people think about the game is one way to get to know how they play though?

For example, here's something I believe.

I know for a fact that I'm not the best at scumhunting, especially early on when a lot we have to do is tonereading and stuff like that. So it contributes to my belief that day 1 should be used to lynch people that are troll-y and harm the scumhunting environment.

Whatever, if you don't want to play my game, I guess you don't have to. But it can't hurt to humor me right? Like what if this is the optimal way to play day 1? Unless you've played a game in which this went down poorly, then in which case I'm interested in reading that game.

Otherwise, please engage with the game at hand.
The more you give excuses not to, the more suspicious it makes me of you.

If you want to establish some baseline to read players from, look at their previous games. Asking them, in a game thread, to answer one way, allows them to be duplicitous in their responses and stay consistent with the self they want to project, meaning that it's likely a useless endeavor.

Even if you understood my fundamental means of thinking of the game, I don't think that would help you solve my alignment, as my play is vastly different based on role, players present, and other contexts.

Oka, if you ask questions, I'll humor you. I don't recall a time RQS worked better than RVS, but we've already pretty much had any RVS we're going to so I don't think it can hurt. Do you have any opinions on anyone yet?
