That is probably the play I would make. I think if you have something as significant as a missing NK you spend at least a little of your misfight budget on speccing it.

Like if I settled on Lavender not being the best person for that juxtaposed with the bussing fine, someone similar where I can craft a narrative.

All the 1v1s that ignore such a dramatic tool is different from how I think I'd play this phase though.

imo when towns have a few mislaunches they should just pick a consistent strategy and work down the list. towns get into trouble when they have too many theories and never commit to any, because this keeps scum options open

So like, if the theory is "puppy didn't want to bus beeboy," they should fight everyone who tried to stop that fight. or if they're more worried about how day 2 ended, they should knock out a few players who look really bad there. but if they fight someone from the first group, and later someone from the second group, they'll be two fights down and still no clearer picture of what really happened for either question

Most games have a "central mystery," you can try to solve, usually it's just how the day 1 lynch happened. if you have good town trust you can brite force the launches to solve that mystery and generally have better than random odds to win outright

I agree, I like the general approach to the game that D1 either mercks a scum in and of itself or provides a roadmap to the game.

My general theory as scum is you always pass the hammer to the player most likely to make the wrong decision and I think the same pretty much applies here

gut feeling here is these subs are bad for town because they remove a significant anchor in the game. otoh it's possible the shake-up will convince town to find the right answer a little sooner

actually remarkable the game has gone this long without subs except in the one slot

i think the math works better with a nokill, that was the whole point of the first nokill

but based on game state, the nokill is framing a few players and no killing again makes it look like a deliberate scum ploy which would probably help town figure it out. so i'd kill here

I think it's Pooky or Krazy. Pooky for all the reasons prior, but I felt more and more uncertain, especially after seeing his reaction after I died. I still think the interactions on day 1 and the way he interacted will Ele was really strange.
Krazy because he's twice now 180ed on me after hearing I'm suspect of him, implausible Tanner suspicion, and not voting end of day 2. Oh yeah, and all the redtea/Suji stuff that everyone's forgotten about.

I think a lot of Chara's emotion was really genuine and I'd be really impressed if it was scum, I regret what I said EoD )_)
Lavender... Lavender. She's still my third pick, but her tone feels really towny.

there's definitely a wifom quotient now with the way day 1 played out / scum played overall. iwon't even blame town for it since i tried to encourage it. but imo the "no way puppy switches from elements to hectic" argument was very strong and not taking it is a big mistake

taking this as an ok to spill some things

the no kill was my suggestion. I got the math wrong, but i argued in scum thread it was worth it even if it added an extra lynch. basically it reduces the power of the cop clears that scum has to give (more uncleared players) and will also make town extremely paranoid (which needs to happen for scum to win)

know its unconventional and looks bad from a standard maf view, no reviewer would ever say "yeah great decision," but for that reason I find it works 7/10 times

based on the tone in discord Krazy seemed like he was indulging some pessimistic nihilism about the game rather than treating Puppy's thesis as something he'd confidently defend logically.
