I think claiming Ascetic now will help make sure we don't have misunderstandings later.

Every Day start, we definitely should claim if we used up any resources during the night. Only scum will have a reason to lie about any D-Class personnel they may have used up, and I'm fairly certain everyone has at least one ability they can use.

I am also leery of the gimmick, but that's not necessarily AI.

My state of mind at the time was that it sounded like an excuse. When I wrote 58 I still wasn't convinced that it wasn't an excuse. And as I write this, I think it's less likely that it's an excuse, but it's still bugging me that it made two and a half claims. And both the D-costing ability and ascetic ability could be true even if SCP is scum. And it very well could be that it's town who is wifoming scum. I hadn't considered bulletproof, and I'm not sure where that's coming from. But if it is BP in addition to being ascetic, I would think that would more likely be a town role.

i'm confused, didn't you say the role felt like an excuse for still being alive? so wouldn't it have to be bulletproof in your mind for that to be the case?

i'm not totally sure whether that aspect of the role is a bulletproof or bulletproof ascetic, and i don't think it's a good idea to try to clarify that.

No, the specific role plus modifiers didn't enter into my mind. I was not thinking how it couldn't be killed, just that it said it couldn't be killed.

I don't understand why you appear to find that incredulous. And I don't know if you're insinuating that I'm trying to clarify bulletproof or bulletproof ascetic, when you're the one who brought it up. And no one said anything about bulletproof anything. Aren't there other roles/ways that it could be what it says it is? I don't think SCP said ascetic, I think it was Roden.

And townvibes from a role claim that could just as easily be scum as town, I can't do that.

Okay. Fair enough then. I remember it now. It still doesn't change that I was thinking why would it say it couldn't be killed rather than thinking what the mechanism was for it not to be killed. If anything, I would think scum would be thinking about the latter and town the former. As in "why if you're town are you telling people you can't be killed" vs "how is it that you can't be killed"
