Eh, my role's deserved--it's a tradition for me to submit trollish picks in Ginngie games and for Ginngie to then punish me for having done so. I do need to constantly say I am town (because I am in fact town), but the role itself is quite good imo.
My role could be described as one of the most brutal interpretations of a pick to date. So I believe what you are saying.

I notice a couple things in the vote count post. First, the notation of how close someone is to being voted out seems to still be based on the “L-word”. Also, despite the rules saying simple majority is required to vote someone out, the vote count seems to indicate the person with most votes would be ejected at deadline.
In post 1, Ginngie wrote:Eliminations are based off simple majority (half the living players + 1, rounded down) voting to eliminate someone. If no majority is reached by deadline, or a simple majority votes no elimination, then a no elimination will occur. At evens, half the living players is sufficient to no elimination.
@Mod: think this is a discrepancy. The latest votecount indicates plurality, while the game rules indicate it is explicitly not plurality.
Also, Roden doesn't seem to be in the challenge list but I think he should be, and you might wanna use E-x on the votecount as that's the terminology now
PEdit: Looks like Reinhardt also noticed the same

Sorry for the confusion, I haven't hosted in a few years, keep finding mistakes in the old format using old language. Will replace L with E for Eliminated.
For clarity, the L is being replaced with E in accordance with site rules. The vote count is so far accurate. Just changing terminology.
Edit: Oh I'll use E-x then; thank you.

Yeah, figured it's just teething problems
Saying people are E-1 etc was a pretty natural change

Wait, so if the VC is accurate then
A. This day phase at minimum is plurality, probably due to a role of some kind
B. Roden is already out of the challenge somehow, or was never in it
Interesting

In that case, Pooky, tell us how it works.
The best bit is that if you're lying then we'll find out later

it just means the first investigative ability used on me will give a positive result and only the first investigative ability so i should be fine later. it is my passive.

In that case I will not be picking up the Miller unless I want the doctor ability from the Mage tree.

Is there even any benefit to taking Doctor over Bulletproof Bodyguard? They both require the same amount of experience.

Hey there peoples, anyone interested in playing some quakeitch with me ? it's like soccer but on flying carpets and actually we don't care about the game and the winning team is just whoever of the 2 guys playing quake on the side of the field win the match
-You may buy from any tree at any time.
-Purchase order goes from the top row first to the bottom row last.
-After the 3 rows are filled you can spend
1 XP
to gain a 4th hidden ability.
From what we can see of the Warrior and Mage trees, the Mage tree seems to be strictly inferior to Warrior for the town. Not taking into account their hidden abilities, or any roles which may incline people towards picking made for other reasons.
Anyone want to claim to be going for Mage tree and becoming a miller?

enclined towards doin' that, but i'd say it's more up to the other peoples in the game to validate that choice than anything
I will participate

Going to be hard for mafia to kill anybody. Any strongman type abilities would likely be limited.

Here is what I think optimal play is for the town:
The majority of town should dip into the warrior tree for the 1-shot bulletproof. This should cause at least a few kills to fail, maybe not immediately if mafia has strongman abilities (very likely considering everyone can be a 1-shot doctor/bodyguard/bulletproof), but eventually once those abilities run out, every once in a while a kill will fail.
There will likely be members of the town who have an incentive to go into either the sneak or mage trees instead. These players should carefully consider whether they want to dip into warrior first or rush for their abilities.
I have extra knowledge to share that is not covered in the set-up that can be disadvantageous to us if not properly navigated:
I believe that each tree also has a neighborhood associated with it
, and that putting a point in a tree gets you access to that neighborhood. I believe that these neighborhoods do not reveal who is a part of them, so other players will not know unless you actually talk in the neighborhood. For this reason, I think that
players who join the Warrior tree should not post in the neighborhood
in order to make it less clear on who decided to take the tree and who is rushing something else.

I mean, my understanding was that everyone was just assigned one of the three things and thrown into one of three neighbourhoods, independent of whether you actually take anything from that tree
There are already 4 of us who have posted in my hood
