Wrote a long post to help me think through the options, feel free to ignore, I will write a tl;dr version in my next post.

I just realised there may be a massclaim tomorrow. Even if there isn't, I'd probably have to claim in elo if I get there.

With that in mind how do I do Night Actions and what is my eventual claim?
Let's only consider claiming VT and Technologist if for no other reason than the fact I feel that is all I'm going to have energy for.

Claiming VT and only using my Night Action lightly if at all looks more tempting by the hour. If my setup spec is correct it would roughly turn the game into 2:7 with an investigative which feels relatively balanced.

If I use a Night Action I need to be prepared to claim Technologist to defend the result, and if I claim Technologist I need to be prepared to claim some Night Actions.
I think this sort of claim is unlikely to live very long. Town may look at all the claims (another Technologist? An Analyst?) and think that is too much town power, at which point I am 1v1ing someone and am the next in line to die when they flip. This doesn't happen 100% of the time, but there are enough things that can go wrong that I wouldn't want to stake the game on Town believing my claim.

In particular it seems bad to tie Johnny to me through the fake inno. Faking a guilty on a Townie seems better.
Best case scenario: free miselim and we'll at least have a good idea who the Radiologist is.
Intermediate scenarios: someone realises it could be a fake guilty, either with or without outing themselves in the process. I could either claim Technologist and 1v1 someone, or let it go and let the person we fake a guilty on be spewed town.
Worst case scenario: I am screwed because of some mechanical reason, then again there are plenty of ways for me to get mechanically screwed even without faking a guilty.

I guess that if this is how the claims shake out it doesn't look horrible. If 2:7p with a Cop is balanced, this very much has the potential to be balanced. Technologists cross-investigating is a concern, but maybe Mafia has a Roleblocker etc.

This starts to look like slightly too much town power for the setup to be easily balanced. Maybe with something like a Mafia Godfather it is balanced, but then the amount of Town PRs is just overkill given none of them can do anything against the Godfather.

This was an interesting exercise as I think it has revealed that even two Technologist claims don't necessarily immediately initiate a 1v1. I think they initiate a 1v1 more often than not, but like, there is a teeny bit of wiggle room.

Tl;dr I think we have two options:

- option 1: spicy play. I forge a guilty on someone. There is a risk of it going badly and me dying prematurely, so you'd need to be ok with possibly solo carrying in the endgame.
- option 2: I don't use the Night Action and plan to claim VT.

Pick one. I think option 1 is fun but I want to go with the one that speaks to you more

(I think forging a guilty on someone is better than forging an inno on you. Both can go wrong in similar ways, but forging a guilty on someone else doesn't tie me to you.)

Sometimes mafia does weird things to you. In the course of playing this game, I have:
1. forgotten I am playing scum and wondered why my townreads are so accurate this time,
2. resolved to townread the whole town only to realise there's a teeny tiny issue with that plan,
3. wondered if it would look more suspicious to take my cup of tea back to my room to drink or to drink it in the kitchen.

I can't decide if I want to push you more when you come back or if that's counterproductive. My gut feeling right now is that if I did push you I'd have to be ok with actually bussing you to the end, I don't think it would look great for me to push you a bit then go "aah actually let's eliminate someone else". Especially not tomorrow, people might give it a pass today. Unless I came up with a good enough reason to townread you, maybe.

I don't not see it, but her most recent post where she argued in favour of RR is probably +town - I don't think scum is particularly likely to go in against me here because it's just not a productive route of pushing.
