Start of Day 2

You're all still playing your games, banishing all thoughts of Arugula from your head, when another player posts with details of an emergency in your IM convo. Originally playing a good game, everything went downhill when she started receiving bad letters after playing words. You ask her what she means by "bad letters". She takes a while to respond.

(7:53 PM) Hoopla: guys my rack of letters is ¿E¶ÆÇAD

You reply telling her to flag the game for cheating, but it looks like you've run into a spot of heavy lag. When your connection frees up you get a bunch of new IMs:

(7:54 PM) Hoopla: guys i'm gonna use his w to play 'wade', i'll tell you what happens

Oh no! Your message finally goes through, but it's too late. Hoopla's probably already played WADE. You can guess what happens when you have a rack full of unusable tiles: the game assumes you have an empty rack, ends the game and the person with the most points wins. Hoopla was good, but you're pretty sure she wasn't winning. Sure enough, Hoopla IMs back confirming your worst fears.

(7:54 PM) Hoopla: game over
(7:54 PM) Hoopla: sorry guys

Nuts. Hoopla, no doubt spent, disconnects from your convo. Who would perform such a dastardly act? You think it's your opponents, but there's no ruling out the possibility of someone amongst you attacking Hoopla in a misguided attempt to help your cause. There could be traitors amongst you, after all...

You turn back to your device and begin trying to think of the best way to snare the double word score without using a blank tile.

You know who was the first to jump off my wagon after I posted what you're referring to as "AtE" (if you had actually read the game, you would have noticed that it was an accurate summation of the "case" presented against me so far)? That was whispersilk in #374. In one of your last posts yesterday, you specifically said you do not want to lynch whispersilk, although you suspected her earlier.

Your "associative" tell (without a single flip, just a bunch of assumptions) doesn't even hold water compared to your own claims and reads.

So once we flip Iceguy scum we can move on to deciding if both his partners joined him on the mislynch wagon (which not ironically AV has indicated is within his scum tool-belt) or if one is in the floaters who didn't cast any meaningful votes Day 1.

AVox Post 511 - Well, I am basing this on the logic that Whisp-scum would want to try and keep those most pushing for her as town alive, which were myself and Hoopla yesterday. Going just by this NK analysis, I suppose it shouldn't be enough to change her read a lot, but I still feel it points more to Whisp-town than Whisp-scum.

I will admit that it's still likely that, since Hoopla wasn't AS adamant as me about Whisp-town (or at least not as vocal), she was a safe bet for offing, but still.

B) I see no mention of Whisper from the post of MoI you linked.

C) ...And your point about Whisper is what?

Can you start quoting instead of throwing out lines?

The point is: MoI claimed that the jump-off from my wagon and the subsequent Arugula wagon were scum-driven, but in one of his last posts yesterday claimed that whisper is not amongst the people he'd feel comfortable lynching, i.e. not scum. So he's contradicting his own reads.

I already explained why I'm not. And I refuse to until they get that fixed (or explain how to fix it).

Also, so what if Whisper wasn't one of the ones he's comfortable lynching? Scum obviously aren't everyone on the wagon, and since he's still got a fairly strong townread on her as far as I remember, it's not THAT contradictory to leave her off.

Are you really trying to claim that because he's not listing everyone who was on the Arug wagon as comfortable lynches is contradictory?

No - I'm claiming his reads are made up and his statements today contradict them because of that.

He claims scum derailed my wagon and set up the Arugula one.

The first player to jump off my wagon was whisper - not a scum suspect according to him.
L-1 and hammer on Arugula were done by you and Amrun respectively - also not scum suspects according to him.

And that's although he listed six scum suspects (i.e. half the game that was not confirmed town to him):

Vm I know, strange right? I rarely agree with lld (i think she fooled me in defcon) but I found things she posted tickled me nicely in a gut town read sorta way. I can point to specifics when I'm back home with laptop access.
