Do you think there is a specific reason brewski is lurking?
I'm sure there is a reason. What I'm not sure is whether he's scum that's nervous about drawing attention, or simply not able to log on very often.
Does the fact that he seems to be relatively new affect your answer?
Not particularly. Lurking is somewhat of a newbie scum tactic, but just because newbie scum sometimes lurk, doesn't mean that newbie town DON'T lurk. I'd just like to hear from him.
Mathcam- I responded the way I did because there's no reason for me to claim. Currently, I'm only on three votes. I believe if anyone else votes for me, I can talk them out of it. Thok's suggestion therefore seemed odd and a bit silly to me, so I responded in an equally silly manner.
Yos- I can't really point to anything specific in sarcastro's posts- it's more the overall tone of his posts. if you can't see what I see, I really don't know how to show you.
I'm struggling to keep up with this game. My time and energy is lacking. I will try to keep playing, but my posts will be quite sporadic- replace if nessecary.

Really? So you can't actually give any examples of him being "agressive" or "overly defensive" at all?
fos:m4yhem
. I have trouble seeing how you can think someone is "overly agreesive" or "overly defensive" but be unable to give any actual examples of either behavior other then a vauge "overall tone" comment.
I want us to win just for Yos' inevitable rant alone. -CrashTextDummie
I need to be replaced too, please. Sorry for the inconviniance but I can't play properly anymore and it seems like it would be fairer for you to have someone who can.

This was the most reasonable thing you've said all game -- enough so that I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt for the time-being.
We really need to lynch someone, so you vote for the guy no longer in the game?
I suppose I would be okay with lynching Cavane, if that's what you want, but I don't see your logic in removing your vote from M4yhem. Why does that quote make you willing to give him the benefit of the doubt?

A suggestion to roleclaim if you are put at L-1 isn't odd or silly. It's extremely common practice. I'm a bit surprised Math used that statement as reasoning to change his vote. I dunno if he was looking for a reason to unvote or what. I was pretty sure Math was town, but I think a Math-M4yhem partnership is something to consider now.
And frankly, I'd rather not be lynched after 3 posts in a 20 page game I took the time to read through to replace someone. As I recall, the case against my predecessor was unhelpful posts/lurking, but he asked to be replaced. Seems a bit opportunistic to go after me, but on the other hand, scum would have been playing more carefully and not made the JDodge mistake, in all likelihood.
I guess what I'm asking is: What's the case against me, other than I replaced a lurker?
I don't like JDodge's D1 interactions with DeanWinchester. I don't like how he seemed to actively lurk on D1 or how he didn't really bother to defend himself (his response to my vote on him was "well that's fair enough"). Basically, he really hasn't given me any reason to not want him dead.
Nevertheless, I'm actually going to
Unvote
at least until we get a full cast of players again.
I could possibly be persuaded to move to Sarcastro. I'm going to try to find the time to re-read the entire game, but I'm not making any promises until the middle of next week.
When asked about his suspicions, he gave an "I don't know," which is a minor scumtell in my book. It's a definite sign of laziness, and this particular wording bothered me.
But what bohered me
much
more was his response after his alleged re-read. All he did was agree with the two most popular suspicions at the time, M4yhem and Andrew. As think M4y is pro-town and currently find it fairly unlikely that Andrew is scum, that definitely signals to me that JDodge is scum looking for the easy way out.
Replacements seem to be coming in very slowly. If anyone here wants to help get the game running smoother, try to find someone to replace into the game and have them PM me. I'm not saying anything specific, but make sure that they mention who referred them to this game.
I feel M4yhem's response to claiming was actually in character to M4yhem (in Town of Suspicion, he didn't claim until being put at lynch -1, and then only a few days after doing that). Part of my reason for asking that question was to see what his response would be. I also was severely tempted to ask for a claim from him to help move the game along; we've had like 3 to 4 wagons going simultaneously (JDodge/M4yhem/one of Scarcastro-AndrewS), and I feel getting some role insight into even one of the people being wagonned would help people get a lot of insight into everybody else in the game.
I sort of feel like changing gears completely and running up Yos2. Alternatively, I can keep pressing on Cavane.
I replaced into Chess Mafia for 6 months, and all I got was a win and this lousy sig.
I still think M4yhem is scum. I'm fine with a Cavane lynch, even though I'd feel kind of bad lynching him right after he replaced in. I guess I can go back and find more evidence for my suspicions if we really need some contribution, but to be honest I'd rather just lynch someone and go to night.

I agree with this. We need something to happen to get things moving again, and I'm personally not ready for a lynch. A claim would be a good alternative. I'm even willing to claim myself if you guys think it would be good, and since JDodge's behavior is atrracting attention. Thoughts on the claim plan?

....so what you're saying is that you
are
JDodge/Cavane's scumbuddy.
Got it.
Oh darn, you caught me. If you lynch Cavane instead of me, I promise not to kill you tonight.

Oh, I'm already going to get Cavane lynched today. I'm just warning you that if my suspicion that he is scum is correct, you are in fact next on my list.
I skimmed the game and determined that Glork was 99.9% town, brewski was 95% town, AndrewS was town. Sarc looked townish.
DeanW was obv scum, JDodge looks scummish, Thok looks Dodgy.
I think that left mayhem, who sounded like he was talking through a mouthful of oatmeal.
And of course, I was thrilled to learn at the end of my read that I am replacing brewski, meaning I'm 95% likely to be town. I'll read more thoroughly this weekend and see if my hunches bear out. I won't elaborate on why Glork is town, cause I don't want to see him killed.
