I mean I can kinda buy where you're coming from in that Moonlight is saying weird stuff which is designed to get xfda down, but the fact is that Tammy seemed really town with her meltdown.

Insanity is probably the best vig there is, xfda, so, yeah.

Why did you feel the need to say "as per my role PM"? You're trying waaay too hard.
Because [REDACTED] Go read it. You'll see why I felt the need to make it clear I read my role PM first.
In post 483, Maruchan wrote:ISO'd my predecessor after I got asked to replace in and before I got my role, and he has like, one post not flavor-related.
Then you straight up Amished the fuck out of HGH.
No, the Amished tell is saying your predecessor is scummy. I didn't. If you're implying me ISO'ing him is the Amished, Read the part where I did that, youknow, before I got a role PM. So you're saying that before I even have an alignment, I scum-told? Yeah. Right bro.
In post 483, Maruchan wrote:Then started reading the posts since the last vote count. Now about to start an actual full read of the game, anything anyone would like me to pay attention to particularly?
This just comes off as submissive and appealing.
Go read [REDACTED} and [REDACTED], and maybe [REDACTED], with an emphasis on my first post after replacing in. I guess I'm submissive, I'll let my girlfriend know

Hey I almost replaced in here with the wake88 slot. I also ISO'd him. Does that make wake88 slot scum, because I ISO'd him before I got his role PM, then ended up not getting the slot? Aight.

Scum found.

My Slot, Wake slot.

GG town.

Tammy replaced out..

Also have you recently replaced into any games Maurchan that are finished?

Tammy's not in the game anymore, she was replaced by Wake who was replaced by Moonlight.

Since you didn't ask us, we think that your first post was absolutely fine and the posts to the contrary are ridiculous.

Nope. I recently started playing mafia gain after a handful of years of not playing it. I don't remember any references from past games to back up my meta, or even if my meta then is the same as it is now, so no. Any game I have replaced into within the last year is ongoing afaik.

at page 8 I think

Also drats that tammy replaced out. I had a really good reaction test for her. </3

The reason I specifically asked Tammy, is because it is her habit when choosing games to replace into to ISO the slot up for replacement, trying to get a read on the slot, and if she thinks the slot is town, takes the replacement.

When I found out she does that, I realized that was a really smart idea, and I did it with the wake slot. Then I got beaten to the punch on the replace, and the mod put me on their standby list for replacements. When I got the PM asking me to take HGH's spot, I replied with sure and immediately came in and ISO'd him. About a half hour after I FINISHED ISO'ing him, I got a reply saying I was in, and my role PM. My role PM asked me to confirm by posting in thread and immediately playing, which is something I COULD have done without actually reading the role PM, thereby causing the confirmation of receipt of the role PM to be not truly confirming it's receipt. I could have played the game without reading my PM, which I have meta of doing. See Strategy Mafia (on my wiki), and [REDACTED]. So I wanted to make it unbearably clear that I HAD read my role PM before starting to read the game past my predecessor's ISO.

Now the tell they are accusing me for is called the "Amished Tell", named after a player who originally did it. It's a Tell for coming into a game as a replacement, being scum, calling your predecessor's play scummy/bad/insulting it in some way. Points of this tell where it can NOT be applied to me are that I read my predecessor's play BEFORE learning my alignment, marking ISO'ing my predecessor as not able to be part of the tell. I am town, marking being scum as not applicable as part of the tell. I DIDN'T dis my predecessor's play, merely said he has like 1 post not focusing solely on the flavor aspect of the game, making that part not applicable as part of the tell, leaving me with the ONLY applicable part of the Amished Tell being that I replaced into your game. That's a mighty large leap to go from that to saying I committed the tell.

On top of this, I feel like people who are uberly aware of the tell, to be less likely to actually commit said tell. In MALAKITTEN'S LAST MODDED GAME (that is now ended), I brought up the Amished tell, explained how it was utilized, and pretty much showed myself to be uber aware of the tell, Mewbie 1506 (in my wiki again). She knows I know of this tell. The tell has also come up in [REDACTED] and [REDACTED], which is pretty much every damn game I've played since re-immersing myself into mafia games. If the tell has appeared in every game I've played on site in the year 2014, I think I'd be kinda conscious to not do the tell as scum replacing into a game, dontcha think?

Maruchan, we agree. Why would you announce it if you were trying to get town-cred for it?

We are now on board for lynching in this order {Malakittens, Moonlight, insanity, Elmo, KB}.

Malakittens because we have just done some analysis of her to back up our suspicions which is that she is doing a lot of vote-hopping/calling people scummy. The only players she hasn't called scummy are us, KB, TSO, and Elmo. We feel like she has done some hard-buddying of KB (see the masons conversation and the white-knighting of our null read on KB). Also, in rereading her we noticed she didn't say anything about Not_Mafia except that she didn't understand someone's town read on him up to the point she voted him (and still didn't say anything about him until we asked her). After we made her describe her case, she quickly switched gears and backed off her scum-read of Not_Mafia.

Moonlight for his terrible terrible terrible push on xfd both before and after the claim. This is also the reason KB is on the list.

We have already stated our suspicions on insanity and Elmo ad nauseum but I'm worrying now about this read in light of recent events.

Spoiler: Malakittens calling the world scum
-73 Vote Riddle for not RVS
-149 Vote Tammy reaction testing
-151 insanity suspicion
-171 tammy may be town
-174 unvote tammy
-189 Vote xvf for 185 (newb post - what's your evidence)
-219 Declaration of KB town
-227 declares insanity scum
-275 Hard defends KB for a null read
-290 riddle is probably town, justin and NM possible scum
-314 Vote N_M (no reason to this point)
-316 KB is lurking but not posting
-381 xfd is active"ish"
-398 votes xfd
-428 back to Not_Mafia after claim
-433 Calls out riddle as having killed the town read on him
-438 Unvotes not mafia
-439 Back to Insanity
-485 Votes maruchan for Amished

Votes on: Riddle, moonlight, xfd, not mafia, xfd, not mafia, insanity, maruchan

VOTE: Malakittens

Yes because reads can't change due to new information. I vote for reactions, I vote for pressure, I vote because I think someone is scum. That's playing the game.

I had to meta N_M because I remember him playing in a newbie game (no offenseN_M, but his play wasn't stellar.) so wanted to see if he defended a town slip argument and what alignment it was that he did that. Games he did it he was town in.

I also did a quick meta of maurchan, but the one game he replaced into was really old like 3 years~ so the meta is outdated.

Either way. From playing with Insanity as a scum partner she mirrors the play of that.

The Amished tell is poopy scum hunting. More often than not when you're replacing you're replacing someone who wasn't excelling. Not telling what you think of your predecessor's play is fundamentally defensive and therefore more likely to be scum than town motivated. Personally, as scum or town I call my predecessors' play the way I see it. Now calling it out as the first thing in your first post is a little on the icky side, but in this situation only a little.

@TSO: I liked Tammy. She seemed nice. And she surely did look better than Mala in their little tango. But there was enough fishy in their little squabble to go around, I could see her quitting in frustration over even the perception of a day one bus by her partner every bit as much as over legitimate day one pressure, and Moonlight's been really bad.

I could see voting for Mala or KB today, in that order. I'm not as sold on Riddle town as everyone else seems to be, but I'm not close to wanting to put a rope around his neck. About the only way I'd vote Maruchan today is if not lynching was the alternative.

I don't have any real read at all on Insanity, and I haven't read a single compelling reason to lynch her. Not being able to read someone might be a reason in some situations, but not in one where there's been as much to vote on positively as we have here.

I'm just not feeling Elmo as scum. I'm not currently considering TSO, Julatorium, or xfd.

Just finished being Not_Mafia's scumbuddy and I've got to say he was a much more effective and active (faux) scumhunter in that game than he's been so far in this one.

@xfd: We have to have neared some conclusion on who we are going to lynch before it would be possible to usefully advise you on your night kill. Depending on the situation it will likely be flip dependent.

insanity and Justin voted me having a similar mindset, so I will reply with them in mind too.

It's one thing to dislike my play, and another thing to find it scummy. The first one, I can understand. The second one? Not so much.

From my own point of view, both votes on me may be opportunistic and a great way for insanity and Justin to pretend they are scumhunting.

I'm happy with where my vote is at last, but I'm not so happy with the scattering of votes on too many players. We're starting to run out of time, and I really want a flip, any flip that's not TSO, Jul, Mala or Riddle.

If you were meta'ing for the submissiveness remark, Ender's Game Mafia, Murder in Siciliy, Friends and Enemies in Icetown (all in my wiki) are good examples of me asking for people to ask me questions or point me to specific instances when i replace in.

With 12 alive, it takes 7 to lynch. Deadline is on (expired on 2014-07-05 01:30:00)

HGH took the keys, and left them on the car seat. "Here, someone keep an eye on the car. I'm going to go and pay for gas, then use the bathroom."

HGH walked into the store. "$40 on #3 please. Thanks." He dropped cash on the counter. "I'll be back." He disappeared into the bathroom, passing Tat on the way.

"Left it as clean as I could!" joked Tat as he walked back to the first car.

Tat was pumping gas in his car when he looked around. He couldn't see the other car, driven by TSO. In fact, TSO, Riddleton, and Julatorium were nowhere to be found. Tat finished up at the pump, and looked around at the other stalls. No car, no TSO, no Riddleton, no Julatorium. Tat asked the gas station attendant, if he had seen anyone who looked like TSO. The attendant said he thinks he saw someone who might have matched his description. "He just got in the car and left. I think they went that way."

"That double crosser, ugh. Ok, you, you get in the car, help me find him. What's your name?"

Image

"Name is
Maruchan
".

Tat stared at him. "Named after a soup? Sure fine with me. Everyone, get in." xfd and NotMafia quickly jumped into Car A. Maruchan rode shotgun as Tat sped off the lot and back onto the highway.

*cut to Car B, driving on the highway*

TSO was behind the wheel, pushing 80 mph.

Riddleton was in the passenger seat, and Julatorium was in the back seat.

"Hey TSO, um, where are we going?"

Image

TSO, where are you guys going?

A) To Las Vegas on your own
B) To find Tit Summers and her bridal party

*cut back to Chevron gas station*

HGH emerged from the bathroom, recovering from what seemed to be an unusually long time on the toilet. "Hey.... where did everyone go?"
