I didn't include the timestamp down to the second, just that it was shortly after 8 pm. Also, this is Jingle. I know I can get away with it because I have gotten away with it before. He didn't modkill me last time, and even said what I did was, explicitly, per his rules, legal and allowed, so I know I'm fine to have done it this time, too.

You know even a tamed beast bites if you test its boundary too much.

I mean, I feel like the game is close to solved right now.
With it close to solved, right now, later content will only be muddying up the waters, making things more murky, less clear, than they are now, so like.
Easy prediction to make there.

So maybe arguing it is a bit dumb?

I mean go check my iso that game mastina and you’ll see that I very much did not duke it out with micc in the lylo — I basically just said “micc is a ninja/strongman, vote him my iso speaks for itself”
Other than that I had a relatively unpleasant scumgsme in Hungarian mafia but other than that I haven’t actually played scum for a while and I died immediately in team mafia so like I don’t think your “burned out on scum” theory makes any sense
Vs this just being my general effortposting variance across games. Like I’m not burned out bc of what happens to me as either alignment really, it’s more about burnout from mood. I can’t explain it super well
I mean also yeah, ali and I talked about how to enjoy rhe game on discord the other day which I already acknowledged I thread? Go check the sign up thread and you can see we talking about being busy and how I’d have to do most of the ~*playing*~ and that e would mostly be there to try and teach me to enjoy large themes

Oh yeah, definitely. Like, I can get more scummy later in the game as town if I have a massive mental health dive, massive physical dive in availabilty, am around less, am motivated less, etc., but like. Almost every single game I get more and more obviously town as town the later the game goes and more and more obviously scum as scum the later the game goes.

If we just avoid this cursed pattern we have much higher chance to win
Game start -> hype -> (toxic) shoutdown -> burnout

Like you were picking at weird things like the "shitting on half the playerlist" thing. Like stuff to appear busy but not stuff I feel town would care about.

That's not what I'm getting at, although I agree with you that scum caught early in the day is probably more likely to live than scum caught later in the day, because people don't like ending the day early (justifiably so, I think), and they also don't like sitting on the same wagon for very long.
I'm of the opinion that, in games that aren't relatively quick town victories, it's incredibly important to have at least one person—and very preferably more—willing to go back and
actually review
what went on in earlier days, rather than simply continuing on with their existing thoughts. I think the lack of such players is what leads to a lot of town losses in LyLo, and I think the players who do this tend to be high-priority kill targets because they're known as being vicious in LyLo (skitter comes to mind).
With that in mind I think the game so far is absolutely terrible for going back to review later on—about the only upside I can see is that people have pretty strong reads fairly early, which might be telling looking back. Apart from that, the rate at which we're posting and the distribution of post counts is, I think, pretty non-conducive to reading back later. So, yeah. I guess I hope the game is close to solved, although I don't really feel that way myself.

I would state a third read, but that means it's triple my quota and people will start expecting more out of me.
And that's no-bueno.

It’s worth going back and looking at my towngames seeing as you’ve only played with scum!me tho, to try and get a baseline for how often I ask about stuff you think town wouldn’t care about

ur right.
we should do this instead:
toxic -> shitshow -> dead game -> rage quit -> replaces in -> toxic (repeating cycle)
^this is a proven cycle that works.
Anyways,
I feel extremely lackluster on mastina response to my scumread on her. I don't think her reads are real. And her response didn't even seem to match her like emotions to what I know of her.
This has been ur mastina expert with the latest updates. Don't flip that channel as we have Weatherman Bitboi to show us the daily forecast next.

Also if mastina is saying the truth, then can't we just wait like 20 days? I mean the game has no deadline so this game is really 6-pool rush or war of attrition.
Posted: Mon Apr 06, 2020 6:24 pm
by Bernadetta
And I'd rather pick war of attrition because this site is good that the deadline isn't something silly like 48 hours.
